I'm Brazilian but, even though I can write very well in English, I can write very well in Korean as well, so I was wondering if writing my Personal Statement in Korean, but my Study Plan in English, would be a good idea.

For a future video, or answer here? would you talk about what counts as "awards" for that section of the application? Are you expected to include certificates of awards, and if so, where should they go in the order of documents?
(Also, do you think it is better to have letters of recommendation from people with higher positions/titles, or letters of recommendation that are more enthusiastic and detailed about the student? For example, is it better to have an excellent letter from a regular professor, or an average/not-detailed letter from someone who is the head of a department?)

2. From my perspective, it is better to receive letters of recommendation from those who know you well. The professor title is high enough to me!

Great Video, Mr. Daniel! I've got a question if its okay. From all of the examples, it seems like it's better to emphasize and connect our "stories" to our personal experiences about Korea. But what if the applicants have little to no real experiences related to Korea itself? what should we do to make the personal statement interesting?
(Ps* What i meant was in a case where the applicants are very interested in Korea and obviously to pursue a degree there, but all he/she know about korea is just textbook / digital knowledges. Never been there and rarely interacted with Korean either.)
Show the admissions committee what made you be interested in South Korea and decide to study in the country. I'm sure you have something you can connect (what you have/know/pursue) to Korea!

I have a question about the content we need to write about (ex: motivations with which you apply, family, significant experience...): does it matter in what order you discuss those topics and do they need to be divided in paragraphs based on the topic discussed? Hi Daniel, i would want to ask something very technical but I might just be overthinking my essay.
For the Personal Statement, since there are guide questions, do you think it would be best to answer them in order or would it be alright to write it in a way where I create a smooth flow but answering all the guide questions provided. The first guide question is about the motivation but my essay started off as introducing myself then slowly building it to how i learned about the program and my motivations, etc.

I had a question concerning in which language should I write my personal statement and statement of purpose. I am French, and I attended an international university in France to do my Bachelor which is the reason why I have a good commend of English. I have also been learning Korean by myself for the past 2 years, but I haven't passed the TOPIK exam yet. I feel more comfortable with expressing myself in English but I was wondering if it could be more advantageous for me to write the statements in Korean in order to prove where my Korean language skills stand as I do not have any certificate to show it or in contrary writing them in Korean may represent a disadvantage if it's not the language I am the most comfortable with no matter how nicely it could be done.

2. Writing it in general should be fine unless you want to emphasize some facts about your family.

Hello i will be glad if you've seen my comment answer my question...for embssay we should select 3 universities but 95% of departments and majors from the "Natural sciences" division, are only offered by one university...also we can't select diferrent departments of this division for each university. it makes our chance less and we would have weak study plan and self statment...

Hi. I'm from Turkmenistan(similar to north korea). During pandemi my parents gave bribery to university in Turkmenistan. I realized at first day that there is no good education. If I just leave officials will take me to 2 years military service. It hurts me and I got depressed. I'm trying to escape and want to study in a good university. When i will take 2 letters from 2 diff prof then have to do three copies of that and then put each of them in diff envolope to make it four along with original and then take sign on back of all of them?

So are they gonna ques why you are changing from a combination of electrical and electronics to only electronics .Like generally is it a big deal changing field there in S.korea although it is not that big change in terms of major.

Heading: Start with catchy sentences. Don't just list quantitative elements.
Body: Answer all given ideas for the personal statement. Start with a main point and explain after.
Closing: Show the admissions committee why you should be selected and what is beneficial for them (e.g., students, faculty members, admin workers, the university you applied for, the NIIED, or even South Korea) if you are selected as a GKS scholar!
