Man’s on his hands and knees doing a pedal demo. 👏👏👏 This guy is one of my favorites, great tone, great playing and a great attitude. Need more cats like him in this world. ✌🏻
I can see going to this and letting the TS-9 go. I really like this pedal. And I used to live in Akron in the 60's and early 70's (Go Vikings!) Really good demo, John.
Not so fast. I've tried two "boutique" TS circuit based pedals (including this one) thinking this is gonna kick my ts9 right off the board. It wasn't to be though, the trusty ts9 is still in there on the board. Anyway it's been 3 years. Did you ever get one??
Really enjoyed your review of this pedal, over Andy's review. Your explanation was very clear to me. Great demo. John, you don'r have to do reviews on your knees man. :} I really love your worldly experience and your ability to express it.
Excellent video and review as always! Pedal sounds nice for a lightly driven amp to me? JB is a great player and reviewer. Also sweet Gilly Bibbins axe! Len Bogan out...
This reminds me somewhat of my all time favorite OD pedal, the Tone Monk Seed of Life (no longer made). I love having more gain on hand, as here, but still not losing the OD characteristics. The only EQD pedal I own now is the Afterneath which is excellent. I'm still looking for a back up to my Tone Monk Seed of Life and the Plumes just be the ticket. Cool!
Thank you John for this demo. Earthquaker should thank you too. All the demos they put out had this thing sounding like a pulverizer making amps sound like they had been run over by a truck with nothing but flubbery goo belching out. You actually make this sound like a nice pedal! Now to go make a purchase.
I'm impressed by John's ability to match licks to whatever he's demonstrating on a particular video. But the big question to me is, "What sort of crazy, hot-rodded Les Paul machine are you playing?" Please make a video about that guitar before Billy Gibbons steals it away from you!
Same, although I love the Palisades and EQD so much I want to try this one out as well, as kind of a simplified replacement on a smaller travel friendly pedalboard.
This pedal reminds me of the fabulous Chellee Odie and Odie Classic. Same middle setting and one outer setting from each. Same great tone control. Same mix of 808 and transparency. What’s that saying about imitation... 🤔
People copy classics like an 808 because they think they can either sell a lot of them for less, to people who can't/don't want to pay for the original, or if they think they can charge more, and convince people it's better than an old, 70s-designed standard. If you say a pedal is 'like' an 808, you're going to get the attentions of a million people who either have a TS or want one or think they should have one. If you say your new pedal is some other amalgam of random and specious adjectives, no one will know what it's supposed to be, and few will bother to figure it out for themselves. // Gotta love how Bollinger is one of the major names in gear-a guy who has interviewed major players and manufacturers-and he's still just a guy kneeling on the floor, fiddling with tiny knobs. Just like the rest of us. I really wonder if he has ever had a 'bad day.' Awesome.
Hi John, Best demo of this pedal. Beats the usual suspects! Who I also enjoy. The at home setup is smart... Like, Hey, I am stopping by with some brewskis! Let's bullshit! Real world, at home practice... Seriously, Thanks for the demo. Cheers!
9 volt adapters are cheap, and if you're going to be using pedals you might as well invest.Or just get it over with, and buy a used iso brick.Batteries are a waste of time.
This is my first pedal what kind of plug do you recommend using with it I just assumed it came with a plug now I have a pedal that I can't use because I don't have a plug
Dunno if you've figured it out yet but you need 9 volt center negative power supply. The Truetone 1 SPOT is cheap and good enough for a few pedals. www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/1Spot9v--truetone-1-spot-slim-9v-dc-adapter
STINGING!! I'd call your style/tone here as "stinging." Very early in the video those lines sound like Page on Zeppelin-1, esp. "You shook me." Peace, John.
Gibson should have stuck with the fretboard on that prototype. I guess they were going for the spanky tone on the final released version but God Awful ugly. And they were trying to appeal to the Nashville guitarists. I've got an ESP/Edwards Jeff Beck Tele that I'm thinking of having a Bender put in. Want b & g but I love yours man. I'm sure you get tons of compliments
Will somebody please get John a riser so that he doesn’t have to demo these pedals on his knees? I admire the man’s agility but boy, it looks uncomfortable...
Always some 'nasty goodness' in Johns reviews! I think we need a rig rundown with all Johns guitars, he keeps pulling out ones not seen before. A LP proto with mini's and a B-bender? GTFO.
Yo bro you might want to get your hearing checked. Tube screamer sounds like s***this is completely different very focused sound not wimpy like the f****** tube screamer

hysterical. thanks
Fukkin dog has fukkin papers!
@@theruley I don't roll on Shabbos!
John seems like the kind of guy you wanna have a drink with and just listen to his stories or talk about gear and music.
Absolutely a monster player and an amazing pedal. Great video!!!!!
i love how he's like "screw you guys, I'll work from home"
doesn't seem outta place in 2020, lol.
He did it before it was cool
nice slide playing! EarthQuaker is going to sell so many of these pedals, definitely a home run!
John you are great. I love your review on the carpet because they are so real and realistic.
I have seen all the PG stuff a few time. Awesome content. Thank you for taking the time to put out so mush amazing information. Love the show.

Dude, never stop lovin the vids, this might be my 1st earthquaker
All this coolness and a nice carpet too. Damn! Thanks.
This is the best review of the pedal on youtube
Thanks John! Now I'm going to have to buy two. Like I needed another bill. Kidding! Thank you for another great demo!
Just ordered one and can't wait for my mind to be blown away!!
Really enjoyed your review of this pedal, over Andy's review. Your explanation was very clear to me. Great demo.
John, you don'r have to do reviews on your knees man. :} I really love your worldly experience and your ability to express it.
James Duffy you can say that the Plumes... brought John to his knees.
I'll have to check it out, great review as always John.
Pedal sounds cool but really want to give that beast of a guitar a blast!
Uno.... oh how l love this guitar.
Excellent video and review as always! Pedal sounds nice for a lightly driven amp to me? JB is a great player and reviewer. Also sweet Gilly Bibbins axe! Len Bogan out...
Dude. I seen you playing with Grant in callaway NE. Im mind blown right now. Been looking at the plumes pedal for awhile now.

He explained what it was...
That's Uno,, my highly modded Gibson Joe Glaser Music City Les Paul
John your playing is getting mo betta LOL...great job my man
After buying the Palisades I don't think I ever see myself getting one of these.
Same, although I love the Palisades and EQD so much I want to try this one out as well, as kind of a simplified replacement on a smaller travel friendly pedalboard.
Timothy Olyphant’s doppelgänger. Nice playing!
That man can play
This pedal reminds me of the fabulous Chellee Odie and Odie Classic. Same middle setting and one outer setting from each. Same great tone control. Same mix of 808 and transparency. What’s that saying about imitation... 🤔
Great pedal, just mine pops loudly when you engage it. This one does in the video as well by the looks of it..
Farking awesome...simply a beast

Good demo!!
please a review of this guitar!
That's Uno,, my highly modded Gibson Joe Glaser Music City Les Paul
What Gibson is that?! I like it!
A prototype of what became the Music City Les Paul. Love it
Gives me a case of *Authenticitis.*
That's Uno,, my highly modded Gibson Joe Glaser Music City Les Paul
Gracias y saludos cordiales desde Mallorca para vosotros premier guitarre
Is that a Billy Gibbons Gibson? I love it :)
Yep. I don't like the Tubescreamer, but I like this. I will be replacing my Klon clone, with this. Thanks, John!
Two totally different devices.
Come on man that's some nasty goodness. I'm so stealing this line
What is the 666 position on the guitar pedal?
I guess it's with all three knobs set to 6,or 1 o clock.
Whats your favorite setting?
Mr. B is the best of the best on his interviews, and decent player like 20 time better than me. :)
It appears the plumes works better with humbuckers than the 808 or ts9..
See John Bollinger. I hit like. Then I watch. Rinse. Repeat.
Hi John, Best demo of this pedal. Beats the usual suspects! Who I also enjoy. The at home setup is smart... Like, Hey, I am stopping by with some brewskis! Let's bullshit!

Seriously, Thanks for the demo. Cheers!
I want that Zach Myers …
I just bought one its coming today
Great pedal.
Ok....now start playing some Lovehunter. Give me some Micky Moody on that, them, der Slide.
I dont like that it doesn't use a battery. I don't use a pedal board so have to return it.

still doesn't touch the Lovepedal Eternity Burst.. where's the bloom?

Similar to the MXR il Diavolo.
Will somebody please get John a riser so that he doesn’t have to demo these pedals on his knees? I admire the man’s agility but boy, it looks uncomfortable...
Thanks Billy Bob Thornton, didn't know you jammed.
Billy Bon Thornton has always been musician as well as an actor.
Always some 'nasty goodness' in Johns reviews! I think we need a rig rundown with all Johns guitars, he keeps pulling out ones not seen before. A LP proto with mini's and a B-bender? GTFO.
Love that guitar. Thanks for watching
I love that guitar too ! Want it
That's Uno,, my highly modded Gibson Joe Glaser Music City Les Paul
Sounded great til that prs
Please, step away from the slide, for the love of everyone's ear drums! Stop the cliches...you are not Sonny Landreth or Derek Trucks!
My god can you just throw away the slide already
I'm the 420th like!! 😂
Tube screamer. BORZO!
Oh, look... another tube screamer. *_yawn_*
Did you come here just to say that??
Yo bro you might want to get your hearing checked. Tube screamer sounds like s***this is completely different very focused sound not wimpy like the f****** tube screamer
