I HATED the town music when I started playing the game, but it became a defining factor and part of the charm. I really hope they don't nerf that sort of thing. Playing this on Steam Deck is fine, but I'm totally getting this again for the Switch. 3 copies of the same game is NOT silly.
I know that feeling with a lot of games where there was something that kind of annoyed me initially and then just became part of the charm of the game .Yeah, it looks really promising on switch, and of course he gotta complete the collections.
More games to more consoles! Gotta get it all out there! That should be the bottom line! games are meant to be played. let us play em. good points man!
I think it is a good thing that it is being released on Switch because that means it opens up more opportunities for people to play it. I have not played it myself but I would rather get it on Wii U, especially if it drops in price like other Wii U games that got ported to the Nintendo Switch.
Be aware, because the E shop has been down for some time, you will be unable to download the performance patches that were available via the e shop, as well as 3 companions that were downloadable: HB, Boze, and Yelv. Doug comes on disc. In addition to any online funtionality: co-op, and events. As someone who just made it to YZ final online raid event. this game was worth it.
I still own the Wiiu version haven't played it sense I beat it when it first launched. I love the Wiiu played it today and yes it's been a long time since I played Xeno I will be picking it up for the Switch 😊
I think I probably will get the Definitive Edition on the Switch unless the reviews come out and it's buggy or something, just because if it's going to be my first time playing, I'd like to play it in its "best" light. But I'll probably wait a little and see what people say -- maybe the Wii U's control scheme better suits this game? Who knows. Certain games like DK Tropical Freeze and Toad Treasure Tracker I actually prefer on my Wii U because like you said -- it's so much cheaper on there, and it feels silly to pay full price for virtually the same game. I still really enjoy Nintendo Land and Star Fox Zero, the "vibe" of the Wii U and 3DS (like their UI and music and such) is still the best of any Nintendo console IMO, and I still have titles I want to try out like Devil's Third, Tank Tank Tank, and Affordable Space Adventures. I like that you admit that in some ways it's lost its luster, because I feel the same way too -- but that doesn't mean the magic isn't there or that there aren't good experiences to be had.
Yeah, I remember people complaining about Pikmin 3 on Switch and having remorse for selling their Wii U version . There are some games you can just tell belong on the Wii U , and people who don’t have a Wii U will not understand. I was so bummed when Nintendo took away free online , especially for a game like super Mario maker 1 , which is worthless without online , which I will still argue is superior SMM2. The Wii U UI had a soul , I hope Nintendo next console brings something like that back.
@@MasterSystemMarceau Valkyria Chronicles is a lot different gameplay-wise since it's tactical RPG gameplay versus Xenoblade's action RPG gameplay. But I recently picked up a PS3 copy of Valkyria after I found out that Vyse from Skies of Arcadia is in that game!

Absolutely!
Xenoblade X had a patch you had to download from the Eshop. I think it was for textures. Cool to see all the xenoblade games on switch now.
I was thinking it was something like that

I mean I think making more and more games available on modern platforms is better for gamers
Yes

I'm gonna be honest, I've never played any Xenoblade Chronicles so I'll just take your word for all of it 😅
It’s like a lot of games. It’s the greatest game series I’ve never played and live vicariously through others.
@@PKInTheUniverse I really wanna play the SEGA version of those types of games: Valkyria Chronicles. But I have zero time for it.

The faces look better on the Wii U than on the Switch.
The Wii U version in general just seems a little darker and grimier, which I really dig. It’s definitely a matter of personal taste for sure.
No I think that's the contrast of the monitor mine looks a lot cleaner.
that could be
