Right on. Is that Mike's old turbo setup? Also - tech tip.. for the antenna gasket, you don't need to remove the whole assembly if it's not leaking water (from the O-ring) and it's just the exterior base gasket that needs replacing. Put the new one in hot soapy water for a couple mins so it'll be more flexible and lubed up, then just quickly slip it over the base and work it down. Take a small flat tool (trim panel tools work great) to help work the edges into place. Boom, done. Takes only 5-10 mins in total.✌
Yep that is Mikes old turbo setup! Going to hopefully go on my car in the next few months lol. Should make for some good content. Yaaaa I had a few friends tell me that same tip right after I finished the job lol wish they told me before I started lol. I spent like 3 hours replacing the stupid gasket lol
@@ThreePedalGarage Also, for your hood sensor.. is it just the switch under the hood that was bad? Maybe the harness came undone or isn't fully plugged in or something..? - I'm surprised you didn't just tackle that under the hood, rather than de-pinning under your dash. The harness connection for the hood sensor should be just above the passenger side headlight..
@@jonturner4076 so I haven’t talked about it before I should have said it in the video. I have replaced the switch already and I also started to trace back the wire. It’s so tapped up that I would have to pull out so much of the body harness to get to it and with the motor in the way it’s not so easy. I also checked to see if the switch got any power and I wasn’t getting anything so my only thought is that there is a break in the wire somewhere after the CCM. Since I didn’t want to rip out all the wiring depinning it from the CCM was the easiest way to go about it. When I pull my motor I’m going to look at the wiring to try and fix it.
