"Our boys in red and white joins the fray! Blood and gold shall march towards the damned!" - A seargant of the 49th Averland in celebration of the news. Seriously, it is a good vibe video that helps with the tensions from the last one. Though I am still anxious to see those weird looking attackers. The horn call from the Hobbit movie was a spectacular choice to announce the Dawi's arrival. It surpised and filled me with hope. Now, let's settle some grudges!
Hey, good ear I've recently gone through my yearly LoTR watching, and just KNEW I had to put that horn in somewhere. Good to hear that it's the right spot
The war has definitely escalated to the next stage. No longer just a single battalion going up against local necromancers. Now reinforcements are coming from further afield, more and more of the neighbouring provinces are taking notice, and pledging support. A Dwarf Hold declares war. And now Kuhl will likely have to start getting REAL creative to get an edge over his enemy.
I've been thinking about doing a community vote for the next narrative series once this one is more or less done. Whenever that might be. Currently the options are: Norscan Tribe and Greenskins Warband. I can add in Bretonnians too.
It'd be sick if you could do something about Bretonnia! In lore, Monfort has some of the best infantry because in the mountainous terrain that surrounds them. Also, they're really close to the Reikland's border so maybe they could be reinforcements that could assist the Empire when fighting the Vampires since Heinrich Kemlar is so close to both Realms.
It's a very possible 'Maybe'. As it stands currently, the entire conflict is 'localized' within eastern Averland, and southwest Sylvania. With only now a few months in is outside support being sent. Karak Hirn and Reikland have both pledged support for the conflict, with the very high possibility of Stirland getting dragged in too. I think as of right now, Bretonnia is not getting involved, though that is subject to change should the conflict start spreading or getting more and more serious, which in turn draws in yet more factions.
I thought I'd reached the pinnacle of excitement at the mention of MY BOY FRANZ himself lending his aid but then I saw the Dawi. 1,500 Dawi is worth a lot more than 1,500... Well almost anything. They looked magnificent and I can't wait to see those shotguns in action Follow up question - was that first unit of Franz's boys Imperial Guard? I know that mod that they come from and they look spectacular
Those are dismounted Reiksguard. 'Imperial Foot' as they are called in the roster screen. I'd imagine in lore that when Dwarfs march to full-scale war, they do so after making suredly sure that they are able to WIN that war. I don't see Dwarfs being as war happy as men (in most cases), especially when that enemy isn't necessarily threatening them per-say for the moment. Von Kuhl is primarily a threat to Averland (And maybe Stirland), but Karak Hirn declares War regardless, and dispatches quite significant resources to fight it. 1,500 Dawi marching to war, is 1,500 Dawi marching to END the war. General Lansbern wanted reinforcements.. He damn well sure is about to get them. The question is, does Von Kuhl have an answer to this, and did he forsee this coming?
