I'm a 3M guy. I was paid $4938 out of my $10,000 settlement. 40% went to the attorney and $900 went to "fees" at the court.
He's exactly right about Veterans records being sold. I registered through the VA for Veterans Cemetary services through cem.va.gov and a few weeks later got a solicitation via mass mail marketing from "Dignity Memorial Network" out f Saint Cloud, MN. I'll make sure not to do business with these a'holes.

Earned an MBA on active duty as a Marine Officer? Remarkable. I didn't have the time to take a proper shit.
Good for him, but an MBA is not always a ticket to a higher salary than a person who they end up supervising.

I say must have been nice. Being single active duty member, I was never let off to do anything. Single active duty were always last in line for everything. Never truly had the opportunity to use my tuition assistance. What I did was find learning opportunities on my own outside of the military.
Single active duty members in today are also required to be last in line for everything. Research it and yea shall see the truth.

I hired a lawyer after being denied in 2006 and 2014 (resources weren’t available to learn the process back then) they filed my Intent to File last October and pretty much stopped there. Fired them in July and submitted my claims I educated myself and on put together myself a week later. If you can read, there are so many resources available that you don’t need a lawyer.
I will say the at the several channels I follow, yours being one of them have helped a ton and I didn’t feel like I needed a lawyer with the knowledge you guys put out.
Ray Charles saw this coming and Republicans warned this was going to be a huge cash-grab for lawyers.

Clay, can you please highlight the Agent Orange study that was done by Brown University. Alzheimer's has affected so many of our Vietnam veterans at a young age.
We agree and the VA won't rate Agent Orange vets. They let a holes mess us around and help. We are trying to get help.

The guest was right on. I used to work in the finance industry, most of the in mergers and acquisitions within private equity. The large deals are made by the MBA holders but it’s the attorneys that that shape those deals.
This video should bring to light the AF Cyber Warfare Airmen who is suing the veterans claim organization. This is not a bash on him, he may have a legitimate claim. However, law firms will seek out people like him to act as the principal for the law firm. Go back to the interview and you can tell that he sounds uncertain of the reason for his lawsuit and most of his answers sound planned and scripted.
Unfortunately many attorneys who were ex-JAG continue to serve on the reserve. So they don’t want to spank the hand that feeds them.
Thank God, I had my VSO do everything for me. He did all the work that a lawyer would’ve screwed me over on out of the goodness of his heart. I’ve heard some horrible stories about lawyers taking advantage of veterans. Thank you for exposing this.

This will also apply to AFFF cases too. But even Veteran who had to pay an attorney to get what the VA owed them should get their money back from the attorney's we had to pay for the VA's violations.

Question: IF HLR upholds denial AND I file another Supplemental AND IF the second supplemental is dated, let's say September 2024, WILL I be rated under the CFR rules in affect from November 2023 or September 2024?
IF so, I can see an issue, if they finally rate me it will not be under the more favorable CFR rules before May/June 2024. They changed in late May of 2024, right? Harder to get more than 0% from what I read, under the new CFR ratings, right? So what do I do? Get a lawyer? BVA?

I was there during that time frame. I recall my medical record at the time being updated to include a form saying i was exposed to lead. Only to find out it was later removed from my folder and there is now nothing in my records showing being exposed to high levels of lead from the drinking water.
I joined the Victory Litigation Chainraise. Well worth any risk, and in any federal administration, regardless of who wins the White House this fall. I'd say why wait for the elections? The House is currently running all sorts of hearings; I would think that this issue is worthy of investigation by one of them. Judicial Committee?
Anything against an administrations time will definitely have negative connotations so this could really be ‘poking the bear’ 🐻

Marines are suppose to support each other as part of our brotherhood. Sorry to hear about the loss of your son. Granted what's crazy is every base in the US has burn pits period. Every base has contamination issues as well. Most of the aircraft bases have AO along with TCE, PCE, Benzene, PFAS/OA toxins along with many others yet the DoD wants to keep all of those issues a dark secret from the public, veterans, and service member from knowing they are being exposed which is just insane. I grew up on military bases then served on them all of them are not were but ARE still heavily contaminated yet nothing is being done or told to those exposed and still being exposed. They've known about contamination issues since the 70s its nothing new sadly.

I had a phlebotomist at the lab at the VA here in Fort Worth give me some lawyer's number out of state He said you call that number and give them your info and they would get you service connected or an increase. He said that they take 50% of that first back payment. Yeah, no thanks. The guy is a vet and I don't want to get the guy in trouble, but I've considered filing a complaint. I didn't take the bait, but maybe others have.
I wound really like to know where the money really goes If you give? And what happens to the money If the Trump campaign fails to get into office? I would be willing to give, but need to be clear on a few more things! Thanks..thank you clay for posting this! Insane!

How do you do 2 tours during Desert Storm? Most were over there like 6 months max and it was over.
I was part of one of the first units deployed in Saudi Arabia (1st Battalion 8th Marines) and then I went back with 1/8 again after 3 months home for another 7-month deployment on the Saipan.

The water contamination was discovered by you in 1991 at Camp Geiger? If that's the case, why is the window only 1953-1987? What am I missing here?
I didn't say I discovered the water contamination; I said I wrote an IG report complaining about the conditions. It was another Marine who actually found the documents that showed the Government knew the water was poisoned. The real reason the dates are from 58-87 is because those are the dates they have for personnel stationed there in a government database. The water is still contaminated right now. They are called "forever" chemicals for a reason.

@@RonLasorsa That doesn't surprise me. The PACT Act is garbage. The politicians pushed it through and then praisd themselves, but there are so many conditions that could be related to burn pit exposure that are not covered under this act.
We live in a messed up world. But, we still need to continue doing what is right, because we stand before God on Judgement Day.
