I've already said how much I like this mustard/yellow Ranunculus, it looks great. Nice that you had the extra yarn to add some length to your Tees, and make them more comfortable for you, it would be a pity after all that effort you put on them to not enjoy wearing them. The garden blanket looks cozy, and beautiful. I like a lot the colour you don't like, and it does look great in the blanket.
    See you ☺👕🧶🧵🪡

Would you be able to do a video showing how you change the length of your College Days vest? How you rip back and lengthen. Can you only do that on a top down knit? And how do you keep the bottom edge from curling up? I've steamed and pressed several times, but still rolling up at the bottom. The sweater in question has a K1P1 rib at the bottom. Enjoy your videos.

I had a feeling that the blue sweater was going to be added on to. I prefer longer length tops too. Right now I'm working on a cross stitch kit, a summer top, and a 2.5 inch mitered squares. I'm still not sure what I'm going to make with the mitered squares. I'm making them out of my mini sock yarn skeins. So they are fingering weight and so many colors. I do have some blank sock weight yarn which I might make more squares from and then make a bed sweater, or a blanket. I'm not really sure yet. I was getting a monthly subscription of 10,
10 gram minis but stopped getting after 5 months. I have been able to get 3 squares from each mini with a little left over, which I have been magic knotting together, after I finish with those I have other mini skeins I'm going to use if needed. I also have fallen down the rabbit hole of Shetland Lace knitting. So I have been checking that out.

Speaking of Cast On… top down raglan v-neck cardi yarn ready & waiting. Found a SQ in stash, worsted weight acrylic in blue/gemstone-ish colors.
Socks…ahem. About 5 pairs need ends woven in. 3 pairs need toes. I think I need to actually f.i.n.i.s.h. those WIPs. It will feel better AND justify any new-ish projects. 🙂

To tidy up a bit, those socks + hat + neckerchief are sitting in a pretty bag ….soooo … Me thinks out of sight, out of mind.
Since I’ve been challenged, I’ve nothing left to do but f.i.n.i.s.h. I’ll report back in w progress!

2- The Weekender by Andrea Mowry (I have the sleeves to knit)
3- Candy Skulls by Chelsea Lee-Keenan (Request from my daughter for Halloween)

Choose a pattern from a good designer that has a reputation for clear instructions. Everything you need is already on UA-cam for tutorials. I recommend Very pink knits . If you want to know anything just search Very pink knits and add the knitting term . Good luck you can do this. Most of what I know is self taught , I've never been to a class 😊

Can you use acrylic yarn too ?
Also what did you knit your Tolesta Tee in ?
    What I’ve been doing?
Well I frogged two starts of socks because it’s too tight on my foot. I’ll have to knit a 9. Then started the sock and frogged 3 times because I dropped stitches where I couldn’t fix 😢
I’ve started on a sweater and frogged it because I wasn’t paying close attention to what I was doing 😢

Tina, love the new ranunculus - in the dirty yellow colour lol It is a lovely colour. I guess 'mustard' works but I still think it's more golden than mustard. Toronto is hosting the Honda Indy this week-end (car racing) and we are supposed to have rain all week-end - sigh. Not that I care, I don't watch nor go to that race but it's a shame for tourism etc. Re your Chartres cardigan - it does seem a shame to rip it all back but if you've lost the love of it, what can you do, and as you say it will shed all over your dark t-shirts. What were you thinking - lol :) Re your latest granny square blanket, make it big enough/long enough to wrap around your whole torso and just leave your hands free to work :). I'm currently betwixt projects - swatched for a cowl using fingering weight and 3.25 mm needles. Didn't like the fabric it created so back to the drawing board with smaller needles - yikes - will I still be able to see if using a 2.75 or a 3mm??? Happy to see your post today - don't you normally do Sunday's? My cleaning lady is here and I'm banished from my crafty corner so you've helped take up some time as I wait to get my house back. Yes I am very (very) grateful to have a cleaning person but wish I still had the physics ability to be able to do it myself. See you soon. I do love listening to you 'think out loud' as you figure out what you're doing and why you're doing it :)

I hope your plans come together. Yes I haven't got back into the Sunday videos since my Holiday. I'm doing more cross stitch and don't know weather to keep them separate or not . I'm also going back to work so I don't want to commit to a deadline . I want my videos to continue to be a joy not a chore 😁

I've loved seeing you the two Ranunculous sweaters you knitted and I'd like to knit one myself but keep putting it off because it does look complicated, can I ask you what cast on you used? I know there are a couple of different options.

      @Simplyinstitches  Рік тому

I did my usual cast on with the smallest neck numbers. I don't know why the cast on is over complicated. Maybe I'm missing the point 😊

@@Simplyinstitches Thank you, it was the cast on that was putting me off starting!

Tina do you the ranunculous just following the pattern from start to finish. have seen so many suggestions for the neckline. casting on different number of stitches.

I knit it as instructed but cast on the smallest neck in my usual way. It fits fine the original just looked too faffy and seams to stretch out big from what I've seen. Personal preference 😊

Hi Tina like ur knitting but I've noticed you mainly knit in the round rather than the flat, is this better as I've never done this before. Also can I ask how long have you been knitting and crosstitching for? Also do you other crochet stitches?

Hi I knit in the round because I think it's neater than sewing up and easier to finish . I know some people prefer flat because seaming can give more structure and it's not as big to organize on the needles . I've been knitting for nearly 50 years on and of and cross stitching for about 35 . I'm a very beginner at crochet . treble stitch blankets are my limit 😁

Thank you for your response. I might in the future try knitting in the round and see if I can get my head around the pattern. I do crosstitch and at the moment I'm doing the santorini from the crosstitch magazine of 6 years ago.

Maybe the sweater length isn't the problem.... could be your jeans are to low in the rise. Lower rise jeans are out of fashion. People have no idea where there natural waist is anymore. The natural waist is about the same level as the crease in your elbow, not just about the hip level.
