The medium really works with acrylic inks! Apply ink then drop medium on top and move both ink and medium - amazing results! I really only use the medium with acrylic inks.
Thunderstorms and painting.. bliss! Thanks for the video! Just ordered some medium. I totally agree that it didn’t seem as effective with the W&N paints and also not keen on the blotchy look of the bottom left colour. The Dan Smith with medium and water is my favourite out of those swatches.
Because they needed more water, I imagine? Water and paper type are the two vitals for decent granulating effects. Mass tones reduce granulation to zero, sadly...

Thanks. I'll try that. 😊
Put your paint on paper as usual and while wet drop the granulation medium on the paint....works best on 100% cold press paper.

MOST informative.....thanks so much!!
Thanks! Just received a bottle today,so this is quite helpful!
You're Welcome ☺
Just found your video😊
I tried to use the medium with different colors and didn't find any mix I like. I'll live without it
this was interesting how the paints reacted differently. Love these colors though😸
I was surprised that they acted so differently with different brands.
Interesting!
why does it feel like it didn't do a lot? lol. I love granulation and have been wanting this medium. thanks for the review

the dark blues granulate anyway
because it is completely useless!
What paper did you use?
100% cotton watercolor paper (Bee Paper brand)
How do I make my own graduation medium?
honestly, using salt is probably your best bet. this didn't do anything. all of these colours were already granulating on their own.
So it goes from doing little to doing weird unwanted effects. Thanks for this video, I think I'm not buying it ^^
