Becky not liking hugs explains her and Eugene's friendship
She’s like the Eugene of the try wives haha
Sooooo true
Yes I thought the same thing!
I would love to see Eugene and Becky team up together against the hug monsters. 😂
Also explains Keith’s profound love with Eugene sitting on his lap and Keith’s profound love for Becky
Ya hear that? Matt came up with "try wives". So everybody who's been rudely assuming that they're disrespecting and excluding Matt can finally quit their whining!
Not Wednesday maybe he didn’t want to could not do it?
I dont mean this in a bad way but he would probably be left out a little bit because theyre all girls and theyre all personal friends for years, so it would be kinda weird with him plus theyre all friends so its not that big of a deal guys
@@Zyrch. I mean they mentioned that Matt's been around for years too so idk, it seems just like he doesn't love being on camera
to be fair he has his own career that he seems to be on call for a lot and just doesn’t love having to be a bit of an idiot on camera (not saying the other try wives don’t but)
5k Subscribes with no videos challenge in this podcast they said that matt and eugene were dating before zach and maggie, so ariel and becky already were friends with him, he just isn’t as comfortable on camera and travels a lot for work, but i think he told eugene that he would like to be in more videos going forward, so who knows, maybe he will be in the podcast in the future
At 55:02, when Ariel talks about what it meant for the try wives to meet each other... that makes me feel so sad for Ariel. She lost so much from her husband being an idiot.
I have never related to ANY HUMAN more than I did when Becky said “ I can’t do math but I can remember what you were doing 3 days ago “
Sameeeeee omg 😂😂😂😂
I’m the exact opposite
So relatable
@Salem Black SAME omg literally 😂
SAME 😂
Becky: guess who doesn’t show up...
Everyone: *GASP* NOOO
This part I also gasped nooed at and I was like shit I miss my friends :(
I literally gasped too alone in my kitchen
I gasped at it too! lol
Keith has told this story before and admitted her was a jerk and he didn't know how he held onto her
I ACTUALLY GASPED ALONE IN MY ROOM
Maggie being embarrassed about kissing Zach was so adorable I can't.
Timestamp?
Maggie’s gorgeous
Anna Zhao Thanks!
She's so adorable
It’s more like 36:55
Becky: *explains her first date*
Me: THIS. IS. THE. COCOA. WE. CAME. FOR!
good reference! haha
Yes!! 😂😂
@@katelynnguyen735 I was gonna say, they are definitely spilling the cocoa!
@Katelyn Nguyen legend says that Ariel still can’t bear to say “spill the tea”
Realizing how long Matt and Eugene have been together makes me sad thinking about how long in his adult life he had to hide such a huge part of himself. I'm so glad he finally felt comfortable enough to come out
I wanna see him be proud and like be himself :
Hm, interesting take. I don’t see it this way. My thoughts are that he is just a very private individual. I feel like his inner circle, which are the ones who only matter anyway, knew. Just like Maggie and Zach kept private. At the end of the day it’s the boundaries and conversations they both agreed on while dating anyway. I think he did his open video delayed because he was open already but wanted make it AMAZINGLY creative and well! He seems to stay very busy and finally got to that part of his life where he felt comfortable of putting it into context.
@@YesiTravels something else to factor in though is that closeted queerness is very different from just being a private individual. and also that eugene was out as bisexual for a very long time before coming out as gay. so revealing that and basically stripping half of your sexuality away can be very scary and vulnerable. -coming from a lesbian who was labeled as bisexual for a very long time
@@violetmaritime I'm sure you know this since you're lesbian, but the reality is that there's always more coming out to do because you're continuously meeting new people. And eventually you realize that some people are not worth the hassle of coming out. In Eugene's case, coming out on social media is very different from coming out to the people who were in his life and will stay in his life. You have to weigh the pros and cons. And just as the previous commenter mentioned, just because Eugene wasn't prepared to come out on social media doesn't mean he hadn't already come out to friends and family. As you said, it's a vulnerable experience. Why put yourself in a vulnerable position in front of people who are weirdly invested in your life despite not actually knowing you as a person?
Becky: Guess who didn't show up?
Ariel, Maggie, Rachel and Me: * gasp *
*shocked pikachu face*
And me rn *gasp*
For real, though 😂 super synchronized
SHOOKETH
the way zach and maggie both went for ice cream just to be able to hang out longer even though they both couldn't do dairy is such a mood gkjhdfgk the things we do
That's true love, I need to find that.
Ikr 😭
These are officially the cutest 4 people alive
4* :(
4! Rachel is just as precious
Meaghan S YES!!
ty for changing it! :D
@@soupzey No problem! I mistyped anyway but I didnt see it until you mentioned it so thanks!
Maggie: I got sooo many detentions
Becky: WHHAAAT for what?
Maggie: wearing ankle socks
scandalous.
Fashion Police got a call!
this is definitely something that a person from an all girls catholic school gets into trouble with
and to think that zach really loves his ankles😂
M E
as someone who also went to an all girls high school, i sadly relate hahaha
We discover something new everytime. So Matt and Eugene have already been a couple even before Zach and Maggie happened. and Matt is also the one who came up with the word ‘Try Wives’ 😆
I agree. Keith and Becky being together for 9 years. Maggie and Zach meeting in a gay bar. Ariel going to school in Europe
Matt was there when Becky and Ariel met....
matt was in a buzzfeed video from like 6 years ago
@@bexw2709 you went back deep lol
All these comments are perfect examples of the type of tea I live for, omg
The fact that Zach made a video about his secret girlfriend at the moment that Eugene was the expert with hiding his significant other seems very funny to me
I know, right? I was re-watching old try guys videos and Matt is in the Test the Legal Alcohol Limit video from 2014. They have been dating forever!
Matt was the true Where's Waldo of the mates (not surprised that Eugene is basically dating an expert ninja xD)
Ah like... Zach wasn't really good at hiding at all lmao
Miles yelling “WHAT” along with the rest of the ladies in response to the dildo story is the funniest thing ever
IT WAS SO FUNNY HAHAHAHA
Never gets old 😭😭😭
Ariel's out here living the real life Skins plot while Maggie is the rebellious catholic school girl. I love it.
Omggg I've been rewatching Skins before it gets taken off of Netflix next month and I was thinking the exact same thing😂😂
Oh no ANklE socks
@@ycart3285 IT'S GETTNG TAKEN DOWNN
I love that Becky talks about having tattled as a kid and then later tattles on Maggie for making out with Zach on the night they met. 😂
and tattles on keith for standing her up on their first date 🤣
Girls in bathrooms at bars or clubs are the best people in the world. You’ll never meet nicer people anywhere else
True! My first and only experience in a bar bathroom, I saw a girl was about to forget her phone on the counter so I told her and she just turned around, hugged me as she said “thanks girl, I LOVE you”.
evelog 에브로그 I was in a restroom at a mall and this girl had so many bags and the bathroom was really busy so I offered to watch them for her so she could go to the bathroom and when she came out he whacked me the biggest hug
I’ve had my boyfriend send in other girls to check on me because I was spending so much time complimenting my new friends I’ve made in bathrooms 😂😂😂
I was throwing up in a bar bathroom once and the girls were like "aww sweetie we've all been there btw you look cute"
Definitely gave my favorite statement necklace away in the ladies room on a drunken night. I hope that chic still wears it...
Maggie talking about 'sensing' when other kids went to an all girls school reminds me of how children of divorce can always tell when someone else is a child of divorce.
I totally get this hahaha
wait we can???
@@adorayao2008 yeah, we all tend to have similar personalities
We can always spot our own, I can always tell when a child has mental problems. I hope one day i can become a economic therapist.
Holidays being a “whatever thing” really early on?
Lowkey this is better than the Try Guys' Podcast.. I feel like I'm betraying the boys. But this is good shit.
I'm gonna be honest, I just watch the girls. I haven't watch the guys one
Blue Queen same 🤣
Both are amazing
Love both! But I do find the wives are better listeners and that makes it easier to hear full, fleshed out stories.
Blue Queen same hahahahaha
Okay. So you're telling me Zach and Maggie met *in line to go to the bathroom at a gay bar?!??*
that's the peak of best meeting stories.
I know this the Try Wives podcast, but would Rachel do a podcast about pagent life, Miss America, and the Miss America TV show as a part of the “You Can Sit With Us” Podcast? I would really like to hear her perspective on the pagent world and anything she learned from the experience and hear the other ladies misconceptions and opinions about it as-well. I know she briefly mentioned it in the “best boss” video and I would love to hear more about it
They aren't in charge of Rachel... It's not them who would have to let her do it.
Great idea! That would be so interesting to hear about
yesss! I wanna hear more from Rachel cause she seems so cool
that is such a good idea! i was also so curious when i learned about that.
I don't care much about the pageant life but I WOULD like to hear more of Rachel chiming in; she's super sweet in other vids!
The collective gasp at Keith not showing up is fantastic lmao
i'm still shook
I’m so shook, I did not know Matt was around that long, I just assumed him and Eugene started dating like last year. Iconic.
Yeah.... I believe they have been dating for 6 years.
You can see him in some old videos too! I'm pretty sure he is in "Try Guys test the legal alcohol limit" or something like that! 😁💕
@@codi.dimasi yeah he is in that "Drag Queen" too
Same, i was so shocked
They moved in together over 7 years ago! And knew each other 1 year before dating
Everyone's sitting here like "Matt's been around longer than Maggie". GUYS, they say in this same episode that Matt's been around longer than BECKY and I am stunned that Eugene just kept a lid on that for so long.
Holy cow I missed that in the episode, that is insane to think about
Time stamp pleaseee
@@Vanessa-dq1bw 50:23 this is when the Try Guys were still at Buzzfeed and Becky (who was not yet married to Keith) first met Ariel and Matt was there too.
You guys should do "girl advice" btw! Not a lot of people talk about the weirder things of girl puberty and only say the obvious stuff like periods.
And sometimes not even periods
YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
That would be fantastic! Not even my school went into sex ed (Catholic school). I think, if y'all are comfortable, talking about your experiences would be beneficial to young folks out there.
@@imtherealpeppapig3571 anyone can watch it, like this is a great podcast. Majority of the audience are women? Yeah probably. Is a man a creep and weird if he watches it? No
i'm the real peppa pig it’s actually super beneficial for boys to understand the things women and girls go through (in puberty, periods, etc) and vice versa. so if males want to listen to it, they could probably learn a lot and be more understanding about the human body. no need to discourage others from watching this hypothetical podcast lol
Wes: only having chocolate once in his life at the age of 2
Me:being taught to walk at 10 months with pepsi
Oh no, I shouldn't be laughing 🤣
my first word was literally chocolate
My grandma used to let me eat sticks of butter like bananas and also put honey in my baby bottles- when my mom freaked out and told her that infants couldn't have honey, she switched to corn syrup 😭 I love her but smh (though in her defense, she knew I was malnourished at home and was trying to fatten me up the best way she knew how as an older southern lady)
idk why i'm laughing this is bad
Mom mom would put Dr. Pepper in my bottle/sippy cup lmao. In most my toddler pictures the few teeth I did have are ROTTED. I'm so mad she did that to me. I'm addicted to Dr. Pepper to this day
I love that Rachel is the Miles of the try wives podcast. I just adore her every time she’s in a video with the boys! Rachel Nation???
I can for SURE get behind Rachel Nation
Rachel Republic?
Yes, we need to start this!
RACHEL REPUBLIC!!!!!!!!!!
YES
Rachel Republic!!
I think the reason everyone responds to the try wives so much is because it humanizes the guys beyond Internet personalities and they’re just straight relatable. The best part about them is they aren’t trying to be entertaining. They just are. Love you all.
Both Ariel and Ned give me the vibe of coming from rich parents.
i mean ned went to yale so...
@@abbystolte9969 ya and also his sister is a ballerina. most girls who grow up to be professional ballerinas are pretty wealthy too.
Or children that never had divorced parents lol. Then on the other side there’s eugene 😩
Breanna Northrup she’s not a ballerina lol 😂 she just did ballet as a child 😂 she’s trying to make it in LA as a song writer. She has a couple songs in some smaller TV shows but that’s about it. It’s hard to become a songwriter imo
Ariel’s dad worked for the government right? Lol she said what program he works for but I forgot.
I'm not a podcast person, but these women are giving the tea I want
Maggie "I was a trouble maker." "I got detention for wearing ankle socks." 😂
My favorite part of this entire podcast series is just Miles’ scoffs of disbelief and laughter sprinkled throughout 😂
When?
43:10 is the part where you can what him the best
I love that Ariel, Matt, Becky, and Maggie have a group text
:")) yes
I'm sorry, so if I'm hearing it right Matt and Eugene were already dating when Zach and Maggie MET?!?!?!
YES!!!!!
RIGHT
WHOS MATT I feel so out of the LOOP lol and who is this girl in red???
Diana Valencia Matt is Eugene’s boyfriend (can be found in Try Guys become Zookeepers for a day and Try Partners Mystery Box Cooking Challenger and more) and the girl in red is Rachel who is a close friend to the Try Guys and a producer for the channel (she’s in a bunch of miscellaneous episodes)
Diana Valencia it’s Rachel. She’s one of the Try Guy producers.
I really really want to hear about Matt and Eugene's relationship history.
Good luck with that! ;-)
I kinda don’t want Matt to come on the podcast. If he’s not comfortable doing stuff like this, then he probably won’t enjoy it and people will sense that and criticize him for it. Plus, isn’t their relationship relatively new?
@@BunnyandMoon sounds like Matt was with Eugene before Maggy and Zach started dating
Childofdeath Ahh really? The first time I knew he existed was during the Australia video
@@BunnyandMoon yeah ı think they are dating since 2014.
I think Maggie needs to get into storytelling, her voice is so calming
Yes! She should, her voice is so soothing.
I like Becky's voice
As a Brit I just want to clarify about the drinking age thing, cause it's actually even more crazy than Ariel made it seem! With parental permission you can drink at home from age 5 (yes, 5!!). You can drink at a restaurant with a meal age 16 and up, and you can buy your own drinks legally age 18. But it is completely within the law for a child to drink alcohol at home with their parents' permission :) It's like that in a lot of Europe.
Okke that Crazy! In switzerland you can buy and drink beer and wine at the age of 16 and harder stuff at the age of 18. but not at the age of 5!!!
Okke that’s why my dad let me have sips of his beer at the age of 6 and O’m from Belfast
Öpis Irgendetwas well it’s more like it’s up to the parents more than you can buy or have an alcoholic drink
I live in America and my in laws are from Italy and its normal for them to give my 13 year old little sister (in law) a glass of wine occasionally,
LMAO! I just commented exactly the same as you without having read your comment ... YES 5!! hahaha x
Speaking of personal styles: The Try Wives Dress Each Other for a Week!
Wait so Becky's dad introduced her to her future husband??? That's so funny and cute.
I thought this was so crazy to hear, then I remembered my mother introduced me to my man now. At work she says I just met this sweet guy, you got to meet him. I looked for him on my next break, we been together 13+ years now. Strange, but it works lol.
Right around like minute 8 I couldn’t help but thing she sounds so much like Ned lol
That's what I was thinking😂😂😂
When she said they read two whole different books on accident, I was like wow that’s SO Ned and Ariel 😂😂
And when she started plugging stuff at the end!!😂
She laughed just like ned at one point. It was earlier in the podcast haha
I am English and the legal drinking age is now 18, but you can order beer or wine with a meal at 16 so long as there is someone 18+ who can give consent. That being said, they have the right to turn you down if they aren't comfortable with serving you :)
Was literally about to comment this! I was like hold up, that's not right!
@@aimeewilliams436 don't forget, this would be in the 90s when underage drinking wasn't highly regulated. Like, my dad would go in with his school uniform on in the early 80s and still drank
@@eleanormason2647 Ariel was born in 1985 so she turned 16 in late 2001 placing this around 2001/ 2002. Underage drinking was regulated but beer and wine with a meal with your parents was ok if you were 16. Businesses could get heavily fined and even shut down for serving anyone under age. Legal drinking age was 18 as it has been for a while now.
In Wisconsin, US you can drink at any age if you are with your parents. The restaurant can say no to serving you but most are fine.
In Australia you can start drinking at your 18th birthday
Ariel : "there were so many drugs"
Everyone from the UK : "seen it, been there, done that" 😂
I mean honestly hearing Ariel talk about living in England and everything I can understand why Ned talks about his wife all the time. She’s pretty cool.
That collective gasp when Becky said “Guess who doesn’t show up” is basically women in a nutshell
the way maggie pays attention to ariel, everytime ariel told a story, clearly show how an amazing listener she is!! she is such a blessing and zack happens to be so blessed 🤩
everyone squealing about Maggie and Zach's kiss was the cutest thing
This was great. We need a Ned & Ariel meeting story and a Matt & Eugene meeting story. I guess i never realized that Eugene and Matt were dating before Maggie & Zach. Aaaaaand lastly, potty training is crazy. My son was potty trained around 4. Children won't potty train until they are ready. Wes will let you know lol
The Ned and Ariel story is in their book (you can do a free trial of Audible to read or hear their book)!
My mom said when i was 2 years old i told her mom i dont want to pee in my diaper anymore 😂😂
My parents are really no-nonsense kind of people and always pushing me to be better, ever since I was a baby. And that's why I was starting to be potty trained really young (10 months comes to mind but i think that's too early). I was the only toddler at daycare to say I want to go to the bathroom. And for some weird reason I'm really proud of that!!!
l think that Eugene and Matt met before Becky and Keith bc ariel sied
that she was taking to matt when she met Becky
@@jade.abc_19 I have the audio version. I remember something about a party and a circle. i'll have to revisit it.

Goodbye tort tort is one of the best things I've ever heard in my life 😂😂
Goodbye tort tort gave me life
This comment was what I thought but better 💯
Omg so true
Ariel, I'm a behavioural therapist and i have potty trained so many toddlers, you would not even believe. It sounds like you're on the right track with the potty training, but might I suggest a schedule with the underwear? Take Wes to the toilet every 15 minutes in underwear and have him try, then systematically increase the amount of time between toilet visits by 15 minutes if he manages to stay dry for 3 days in a row on the current schedule.
There's another way to determine whether your child is ready to be potty trained as well. Every kid is on their own schedule, but the way that behavioural therapists tell is when you notice that your kid is starting to hold his pee until he's in the bathroom or when you remove his diaper.

Shook that Matt and Eugene have been together for so long now
right?? i assumed they been lowkey for a minute before but when said since buzzfeed days that’s so wild
Matt was in a Buzzfeed video back in like 2014

Holy Namjoon give jimin some jams really? Do you know the time stamps for it?

It’s crazy to think that Matt has been around for so long without us knowing
THE CALZONA PFP AS U SHOULD TBH 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Now that we know Ariel is pregnant the black dress makes a lot of sense!
They are so cute, i cant stop getting the vibe like Ariel is everybodys cool mom, Becks is the cool aunt and Maggie is like the cute child that is learning from Ariel and Becks. I dont really know how apart on age are they but the way they interact with each other is amazing. Also when Becks say that everybody is ok with the term "try wives" and that Matt is the one to create it feels like a wink to all those comments in the try wives videos about Matt. This is trully great and just saying that this might be better that the guys pod
Now all we need is the mystery of how Eugene and Matt met
Exactly!!
And when!
Buzzfeed probably. They both worked for them back in 2014
He’s in some of eugenes first ig posts and a buzzfeed video years ago
I don't mess around with buffets. now there's a T-Shirt idea
Ariel saying meeting each other was the start of the rest of their lives was bittersweet to listen to given the current events... Ugh. Restarted the podcast from EP 1 bc these wonderful women make me feel like I'm surrounded by a group of sweet girlfriends and going a week without is just too lonely.

Ariel's story was so interesting. I also went to an international school, but as a European I just experienced growing up in Europe as "normal". Her take on it is super interesting. I'm wondering if shed ever be down to leave the US again to live somewhere else, especially now that she has Wes? Also, at least in Germany, the drinking rules are still the same as she described them to be and she's right, we (Europeans) can always tell if someone is from the US just by the way they are dressed and act. I wonder if its the same the other way around? Can Americans tell if someone is from Europe?
I'm an american who grew up in europe and i can tell both ways! ^^ dont know about everyone

I can tell by the same ways 😂 the clothes and their overall personality’s usually let me know they’re from Europe
I only know from accent and personality

i would've loved to hear from ariel about meeting ned and their first date :( we hear a lot about their relationship from ned, so i just think it'd be interesting to hear from ariel's perspective. we would also be able to hear what her first impression of him was, what she thought of him being from yale, and other little anecdotes from their relationship like keith standing becky up or zach and maggie pretending to be into dairy just to continue their date.
The drinking age is still like that around most of Europe. Usually you can drink beer at 16 and hard liquor at 18 :)
Sofie Courcelle in the USA drinking age is 21 same to buy cigarettes
Half the time you can drink wine etc at any age as long as you’re with your parents and eating food 😭😂💀

@@AnnTom-gn6ln There is a myth that toddlers are more perceptive to their previous lives. So, if you ask them where they came from before they came to be with you, there is a chance they will recount a significant answer. I recommend looking up stories of this happening, as it's really fascinating.
34:10 wait wait wait... so you’re telling me Eugene and Matt have been together longer than Maggie and Zach???
Yeah I think it's been mentioned before that they've been together for 5 or so years
Matt probably didn’t/doesn’t want as much media attention, which is completely fair and valid
I had no idea too. Been following them for years and I'm not saying that Eugene couldn't be in a relationship, was just surprised it was a long term relationship. Especially considering all his party and walk away drunk stories.
Shadwin Loubser people forget that isn’t Eugene the oldest try guy? Those stories are probably from his early 20s
@@EagleEyedSheLion lol, Eugene and I are the same age, but yes they could be older stories
I hope one day Matt is comfortable enough to be on the podcast, I’d love to see all 4 of them together talking about their lives.
can they PLEASE do a "teens style the try wives" like the other video they did a while ago???
When Maggie tried to explain that you just know when another girl went to an all girls school.. that’s how I feel about homeschoolers lolll
Same! But since there's a few different ways to homeschool I feel like it's not always as clear cut lol
Yeah I can always tell another homeschooler 😂 Even the ones who dress normal and are pretty good at not being awkward, there’s still a vibe haha
I just have to say, Rachel is a fantastic addition to this trio, you can tell she produces and steers the conversation, but she's so gentle and natural about it so it really all flows. I thought that in the first, but it's even more obvious in this one as you all find your groove. I'm really looking forward to more episodes of this and hearing from the other side of the Try lives 💕💕
I feel so out of the loop who is rachel
@@cassidycalvert1246 literally the 4th person in the podcast you just watched. She's the producer for the try guys.
@@iluv2cheer176 i have eyes I obviously seen her just didnt know who she was and Jesus Christ rude much?
@@cassidycalvert1246 you're the one who took the time to ask me instead of googling for 5 seconds hun 😘😘
@@iluv2cheer176 and? Wow I bet your friends think ur great 😆 what a miserable catty girl grow up already
Miles dying laughing in the background after Maggie's story kills me
I could literally listen to this podcast for hours, whatever they want to talk about I would actively listen
Same girl!
Yesss. And I hateeee podcasts
I miss Ariel so much. I’m happy she’s away and healing but I really hope she comes back to the Try fam
Okay it is so effing cute that Zach and Maggie hid having dairy allergy and lactose intolerance to hang out at an ice cream shop after their 1st date lol

I'm British and hearing Ariel mention the UK drinking laws I was like 'Hang on, that's not right, you have to be 18 no matter what the circumstance'. I looked it up, though, and she's right! O.o I guess you learn something new everyday!
And plus twenty years ago they weren't as strictly enforced
I mean, most of us start drinking age 13 with our mates in a field😂
@@emmasedgwick2757 100% I love our british culture 😂😂
Sort of right. She said had to be 16 to be allowed to drink. Its generally 18 but actually if at home, you can be 5!! Although shes right that generally, if with adult, you can drink from when 16
Can we have more of Ariel’s adventures? When listening to the try guy’s book, I remember wanting to hear more about Ned and Ariel’s adventures. She needs her own book please! Also, love Maggie, Bex and Rachel too! I was a catholic middle school graduate too, so hard relate.
Who else was shocked when Matt came up with the "Try Wives"?
Oooh what part do they mention that?
I actually wasn't! It felt right to know that he was the one with the idea. He seems so cool!!
Elena Rexach it’s about 54 mins in
I'm not. And glad to know everyone is ok with the term

The potty training and big bed training makes so much more sense now.
Becky's "if I keep a thought in my head it hurts" (instead of saying it out loud) is such an adhd mood
Totally my daughter, has to say whatever pops into her head.
