My favorite Sara Evans is "A Little Bit Stronger". "I Could Not Ask For More" is also amazing. As others have said, "No Place That Far" is a great showcase of her voice and well worth a listen.
Love Sara Evans… yes “Suds in the Bucket “ I played Sara’s cover of “I Could Not Ask for More” by Edwin McCain after my wedding ceremony. She has family ties to a tiny town close to me here in rural SW Missouri. Thanks for this!!!
well.......now cheez -its are important. In case you missed my comment on yesterdays video....I requested Dumas Walker from Kentucky Headhunters. You guys are too much fun
I had a crush on Sara Evans when I was like 12 years old. She can freaking sing. “No Place That Far” is damn near perfect. Also, anytime I hear the words “West Virginia” the absolute only thing I think of is moonshine.
As a Wizard of Oz fanatic, this is my favorite music video homage to the film. What’s funny is the first time I heard the song on the radio I immediately thought “what a great song for an Oz homage.” And lo and behold that seems to be exactly what Sara/her people thought too. Made me love Sara Evans even more than I already did. Happy to see you enjoyed her vocals and the song itself.
Sara’s another powerhouse vocalist! Amazing Artist! Sara did a CMT Crossroad with Three Doors Down. Their rendition of “Here Without You” will give you chills!
She's the only country artist I've seen in person and she is absolutely amazing in person! The band and her vocals...this isn't studio manipulation. She's an amazing artist!
As always I love your banter and reactions. This is a fun song and I'm glad you discovered Sara Evans. I'd vote for Suds in the Bucket as your next Sara Evans reaction.
If you're looking for live performances, "A Little Bit Stronger" from the 2011 ACM Awards is a good one! It does have the full band, but the focus is very much on her vocals. Here's a link: ua-cam.com/video/BYyULc5UtP4/v-deo.html A little backstory on this: Sara went through a very nasty and public divorce in the mid 00's, at the height of her popularity. So then she ended up stepping back from her career and avoiding the spotlight for a few years while focusing on healing. Finally she made a comeback in 2011, with "A Little Bit Stronger" as her triumphant return about overcoming heartbreak. This ACMs performance was her first big exposure in quite a few years. That's why she seems a little nervous at first, and then is so shocked and flattered when everyone gives her a standing ovation :) The song went on to become her 5th #1 a few months later. (Of course the music video is one of her best as well, so no complaints if you go that route!)
Sara Evans has a beautiful voice! Check out "Suds in the bucket" or "No place that far" that was a duet with Vince gill. You will love them both! If you want a live performance "a little bit stronger" at the 2011 ACM awards was great!
Hey guys, I heard something on the radio today and instantly thought of you guys. Not sure if you have been or heard of it before but it is Bourbon and Beyond. Lots of Bourbon and music and yes, Chris Stapleton will be there this year it's in Kentucky in September, you guys should go and drink and see Chris live!!!
Cheez-Its are the best! Her best song is "No Place That Far". Not sure if there is a live version on UA-cam but the official video is just her with Vince Gill in the background. Also "Suds In The Bucket" She has such an amazing voice, and she has quite a few popular songs, but she's one of those that sort of gets lost in the shuffle of female country artist when people are listing great singers, which is a shame, because she deserves more recognition. I like the never settle message. There are far worse things than being single. To quote Madea, "There's only two places you can have peace, the grave and your house" and there's no reason to have someone in your house/life that robs you of your peace because you think having them is better than being alone.
I saw her and met her at the George strait country music festival. She was amazing and her voice sounded exactly the same as it does in the video in person. It was a full day of just multiple artists and tons of shows. Kinda like country thunder but just one day. And she really made an impact because she took the time to visit with me and cousin since we were 13 and on our own there. (My mom and her friend were at their seats) lol. She’s just amazing.
You guys should react to Hank Williams Jr Tee Tot and Last PorkChop live with interview if you want to hear some awesome guitar picking . Just Hank playing and singing by himself.
Great song, great reaction.. I was wondering how quickly y'all would get the Wizard of Oz references. IMO many of her songs sound light hearted but have a deep meaning. Suds in the bucket and No place that far are two favorites.
A Little Bit Stronger, When You Were Cheating, My Heart Can't Tell You No, Backseat of a Greyhound Bus, Coal mine. I could honestly go on and on, Sara has so many great songs. She's phenomenal.
Her most recent release was a covers album. You guys should check out one of those songs! Her kids do a lot of work with her now. Her son plays guitar and one of her daughters does background vocals. Her brother is also part of her band.
As always I really enjoyed y'all's reaction. I have heard the song but I don't know that I've ever heard anything else by Sarah Evans the song itself is great it's complex and beautiful and deeply message infused. And I think most people feel that way when they're teenagers. They just won't acknowledge their parents know anything. Because yeah with that age you really don't believe that. Great great reaction guys.
Stronger is one of my favorites by Sara Evans. Also, if you want to hear someone amazing with a guitar and just her beautiful voice, check out Miranda Lambert singing Tin Man at the ACMs. 🔥🔥🔥
I love Sara Evans and this song is awesome. And being a Wizard of Oz fan, I loved video. This poor woman has 2 bad marriages under her belt and she's not as active in country music anymore...back to the song, I'm pushing 50, never been married, no kids. I'm not settling for less than I deserve...waiting for my heaven. Have y'all decided what to name your fans I have a bourbon related, music related name to run past y'all...The Bourbonaires. Y'all made me giggle as usual. Great reaction!! Shhh if I ran off at the fingertips I'm a lil bit tipsy.
Sara Evans "Born to Run" album may be the best produced country album. There is not a bad song on it. She comes from a family of top musicians, writers etc.
Wizard of Oz themed video. If you want to see her great great vocals a little bit bit stronger and no place that far are great. Sparks fly is another fun one.
You two gave me a much needed laugh today. Thanks! I'll add another vote for Suds in the Bucket by Sara. Also, check out That Don't Impress Me Much by Shania Twain. I guarantee you'll get a kick out of it.
Sara’s voice is beautiful! I’m sure you’ve seen the ASPCA commercial that rips your heart to shreads? She is singing her song, “Arms of the Angels” in that commercial!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Sara is a wonderful artist You know they have something unique when they still are going 30+ years down the road as she is! Cool info regarding that bourbon 🥃:) GREAT PLANS:)
Keith I suggest “Whitetail Ridge “ by Kari and Billy .. it’s a husband and wife who are hunters they do a lot of soundtracks for hunting shows.. The instruments are amazing in this you will both enjoy it Even if you don’t review on channel still take a few min and listen. Definitely a song for a WV boy getting ready for hunting season..
Sara Evans has a beautiful voice, enjoyed listening very much! I would like to make a recommendation knowing how much you enjoy guitar playing I think you would enjoy the live version of this song and watch Roy Clark play. He plays a mean guitar, banjo and fiddle. Although, in the song I am recommending he plays the guitar. it is the song - Gentle On My Mind - Roy Clark the live version definitely. He is from way back. He played for years on the old show Hee Haw - yeah, I'm old. lol!
@@BourbonCountryReacts I had a feeling that you probably had heard him but thought just in case I would mention it seeing how much you enjoy guitar. He's a legend for sure. You guys keep rocking it I enjoy your reactions!
Every time I listen to Sarah Evans it makes me think of the similarities between her voice and Martina McBride. Sarah is softer where Martina is powerhouse, but they have similar styles. Just my thought
Check out Sara with 3 Doors Down doing "here without you" & "real fine place to start" live she's show how her voice can go from rock to country and how much pipes she has. Would pair well with Four Roses single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey
Suds In The Bucket in my vote for the next one of hers. Popcorn Sutton made the best shine in WVA, KY and TN, sometimes GA. Can you believe that gorgeous woman's first husband cheated on her? He needed his head examined.
