Might not be possible with the recent change that makes it where your charge is shortened as you take damage. In short, 1 rocket to ruin it all.
An advantage to a demoknight in sixes is no one expects it so they freak out when a cyclops charges at them with a sword glowing in crits.

I was in a Hightower server the other day with a guy named Pick_Class and he got a 45 kill streak with demoknight.
I did demoknight in a 100% crit server using the eyelander. I got 50 kills and then decided to be fair and killed myself XD
I heard that the guy uses turning scripts.

You have to use your imagination, these are probably ALL the things he did as a demoknight, considering they had multiple scrims, he didn't do that much, his team carried obviously :P.Also, as a medic, there is very little you can do vs a demoknight coming, the other classes have no excuse however.

Hey Star! I issued these challenges to Jerma a while back, but I thought I'd challenge you as well.
- Full Demoknight with the ullapool caber. ONLY POST DETONATED CABER. You gotta blow yourself up on a wall the moment you leave spawn, then demoknight that way.
- Play Medic, with a rule that you're only allowed to uber/kritz Snipers and Spies.
- Play Medic, put type "+Attack2" into console, then put something on top of the corner of your screen to hide your ubercharge meter from yourself, so you have no idea how much ubercharge you have at any given time.
Umm, usually, when medics get uber, they shout: I AM FULLY CHARGED
derpeth, I say! Here's the thing, typing "+attack2" into console means that the exact second the medic receives full ubercharge, he pops it. It's basically the computer mashing Mouse 2 for you. STAR_ did the same thing in an earlier video with "+forward" and "+attack" with pyro.
So basically, the challenge is that you are forced to pop the uber the exact second you get it, and make the most of it, with no way of knowing for sure when it's going to happen.

In before Clademor is banned because competitive leagues hate fun.
It's not about banning what's 'fun'. It's about banning what goes against how the game works and has always worked.
Certain things are banned in all competitive games (not just TF2), simply because competitive is supposed to be serious. How long would it take competitive TF2 to become the broken-weapon-shitfest that is pub TF2 if they started allowing gimmick items?

Because that's the demoman's role. Dealing consistent AOE damage and area denial.
The sticky launcher also isn't a gimmick weapon. It's versatile and has many uses. Unlike the 'demoknight' who is a one trick pony and, as seen in a lot of these clips, charges in for a kill then dies.
It's hard to explain, but all competitive games require a certain amount of consistency in order to be truly competitive.
If anything was allowed, the game would be more luck than strategy. Matches would be decided by which team happened to counter the other through class picks and items alone (something in TF2 that can't be done consciously) instead of actual skill and co-ordination.

As a medic main, there is nothing more terrifying than a demoman screaming as he charges at mach 6.
guide to all shields:
chargin targe: for surviving more easlily but occasionally dealing out huge damage
splendid screen: for annihilating everyone in sight
tide turner: for turning perfectly (as a combat shield it functions exactly like the targe except you can be affected by afterburn)

if he keeps using these troll- i mean *ahem* pick *ahem* weapons, not many teams would have him as demo is a very important class in 6s because his dmg output is super high, and the sword restricts him to melee, his dmg output would be super low. if you really think about it, for invite 6s, unless your team is stacked, it won't work.

Why no use good sword?
clad gives turning potential and move time while charging so you can charge round a corner so you dont reveal yourself so the enemy can deal with you.
the extra charge duration helps for the picks. makes it easier to get to targets like medics.

Hey, I actually saw a recording of some of this demoknight action on twitch. Now I get to see both perspectives. This is also funny because, in the first tf2 lobby I played years ago, someone was doing exactly this. There was also a brass beast heavy in the corner saying "I am carrying this team". They were actually both very effective.

you know my mouse sensitivity is so low i cant use the tide turner effectively :I and also before the tide turner with the whole fps makes you turn better was there like an amount you could turn depending on the fps or was it just like have 70 fps = have complete control?
I feel like FlyingDemoknight needs some credit here. He's made a science out of competitive demoknight, even with a fairly good guide.

i dont get how you steer like that.. i understand that you have the booties and that it increases the amount you can steer but, i can only seem to change it a little bit while you make over 90 degree turns
Lesser known, the demo charge is dependent on your framerate. The higher fps you have, the more you can turn. Demoknight rewards you for having a good computer

He probably has a mouse that he uses to raise his dpi for turning then lowering it when not.. Just a hypothesis since that's what I do. I charge and raise it at the same time then lower it after charge is up.

Edit A significant amount of people watching star like to see the e-sports side of tf2, it's actually extremely fun to watch and if you get into the game it great. I'd suggest watching channels like exTV or watching ma3la's stream to get to know more about comp tf2.
