Hello there! Welcome back to another life is strange tribute, the first one I've made in over 3 years! It actually shocked me it's been that long, videos just seem to fly by when you've been editing for 7-8 years like I have. I'm so happy to be coming back to this series tho.
For those of you who don't know, LIS was one of the three main series I started up my channel with. They were: the walking dead, star wars, and life is strange (the first game was the only one available at the time, although I did make a couple edits with the prequel, "before the storm" when it came out as well). I took a break from the series just to focus on other things and because I didn't really like LIS 2 all that much. Plus things have changed over the years and now I can record my own footage however I want, which is what I did with this video :P It was getting irritating to have to use other footage available online, which killed some of my interest in editing the game at the time. Now that I can record my own footage and the game is absolutely wonderful, I'm back into the series ^^
This game is easily my favorite game I've played this year, and it brings up alot of personal themes that I relate to very much, so this tribute has alot of my heart poured into it. Whether that comes across or not, I'm not sure, but I definitely had alot of joy editing this. I spent one month on it, which is probably the longest I've ever spent on a tribute. Two weeks planning, recording extra footage and figuring out how to flow from Alex's cover of the song to the original song. Then two weeks editing the actual footage. I hope you enjoy the video, and thank you for reading my rant XD.

Feels good to be editing Life Is Strange again, it's been a while. I wonder if anyone who watched my life is strange tributes back when they launched is still watching now? Fun thing to think about. Regardless, I had a wonderful time editing this tribute, and I poured alot of love into it as I relate to alot of the themes in this game quite personally. The thing I always loved about Alex is she feels like a whole different person when you compare how she was in episode 1 and how she was in episode 4. It felt like Alex actually developed as a person.
Right!? That's part of what made True Colors my favorite LIS game. Alex's character is just so interesting to watch, she really feels like a character that develops as the story progresses. You can really see all that development come full circle by episode 5, because she's so much stronger than how she started out.
Honestly, while I love all the LiS games and all the protagonists, but I relate to Alex so much more than the rest. Her struggles with emotions, hers and everyone elses, and her doing so much for everyone else while not focusing on her own needs hits real close to home. And I lost my brother tragically too, so I feel that pain

Thank you so much!! I'm really happy to be back into the series again! With the first game and the prequel getting remastered by February of next year, I plan on editing LIS at least throughout next year, if not longer ^^

You totally should play it tho! It's a really good game, it's one of the best story driven games I've played in a long time, and definitely the best game I've played this year. Great story, great characters, intense choices, great animation. Well worth your time ^^
