If you don't have a pattern already I recommend McCalls 7915. It's a 1910s style corset, so it comes down lower past the hips, which is great for smoothing out the figure, and the shape is simple enough that it can be used for any era of costuming or just for modern wear. The instructions are also easy to follow. I made one from recycled jeans and it turned out amazing so I highly recommend it

omg the gromet issue. lol. I've literally done the same thing because the way I teach myself to sew is just... doing it. And then you mess up and you're too proud to look up a tutorial. lol. This came out so pretty and it was so helpful watching you make yours before I make mine.
This was massively helpful as you were the first video to explain how to draft it from scratch, instead of giving me a pattern to print or telling me to copy from an existing garment I own. I much prefer hand drafting, I find it so much fun. Thanks for this :)
