Experts Warn of 'Gas Station Heroin' Ingredient Tianeptine

- Experts are sounding the alarm over the main ingredient inside what some people call “gas station heroin.” Morgan Echols says she thought the active ingredient, tianeptine, was a safe dietary supplement. She says it only took a couple of pills for her to get hooked. Kristi Terry says her life was shattered when her 19-year-old son died after taking “gas station heroin.” Experts say “gas station heroin” works like a powerful opioid and can be very addictive. Now, Echols and Terry say they want to see it taken off the shelves. Tianeptine has been banned in nine states and the FDA recently issued a warning to consumers advising them against purchasing it.
I started doing drugs since my teenage, got addicted to heroin. Spent my whole life fighting heroin addiction. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Heroin addiction actually destroyed my life. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

Can you help me with the reliable source 🙏. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Germany. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them

Congrats! I'm really happy for you that your wife decided to help you. I always admire those who beat their addiction. Knowing it's possible to fix your life knowing there's people out there that have done what I thought was impossible gives me hope I will make it through as well. Those who share their experiences don't know how much it helps when you're about to give up, it gives you the strength knowing somone who actully know what it's like to go through this tell you it's possible, it's not the same somone telling you you can do it when they have no idea what it's like, but hearing somone who knows what it's like that helps a lot since you understand it firsthand and made it out gives so much hope. so thanks for sharing.

Tianeptine is an atypical depressant, meaning it relaxes the body in other ways that differed from regular depressants; basically, it activates the mu-opioid receptor (the same receptor that becomes activated when binding with morphine, hence the name)
This is similar to how heroine biochemically functions, and hence why it is known as gas station heroine

Kratom is weak compared to this. I regularly take Kratom and tried this one time and I couldn't get out of bed for two days. Never been on my rear end for that long from anything.
Kratom powder is significantly weaker than Tianeptine. But if you buy the OPMS extracts, it’s just as strong as Tianeptine with just as bad of withdrawals.
The only good thing about OPMS was it is safer than Tianeptine. However, OPMS extracts can still be dangerous
You can usually only take 8-10g of Kratom at a time before feeling nausea in powder form; but you can take 100g of Kratom at a time in extract form without nausea.
We need FDA regulations on supplements like yesterday.

The FDA says it's "good" for phosphoric acid to be used to make sodas and that it's "great" to put fluoride in the toothpaste. One is an acid and the other causes cancer and the FDA thinks that's okay.
What a tragedy, I better run to the doctor and get hooked on their pills.

sigh, it's NOT GETTING BANNED and not going away, including in states that have banned like mine. I will literally go out of state or ABROAD just to obtain it if needed, so no ban is stopping anyone. Including a national one. The experts, and those in this story, who I do sympathize with, can warn and hope for a ban all they want, it will never fully work and will NOT stop some of us from obtaining these products. That is all.
The problem is that it makes you a criminal and can ruin your life. Of course we can all get ahold of any drugs, but some drugs just aren't worth the legal trouble. The war on drugs is idiotic, and it's killing people, but sadly, society is too stupid to ever get it. Everyone's stupid reaction is still to ban something as soon as it looks a little bit dangerous.

If only it was an energy supplement. This stuff will get you nodding if you take enough. Not only did it take away my anxiety, but took away all bad feelings whatsoever. It’s a weird drug because it’s structurally unrelated to traditional opiates, but somehow targets opioid receptors, that’s why is able to be made available.

Thanks for telling me about this, I wondered what all the stupid little bottles were, I thought they were probably caffeine pills for late night drivers. People seem happy with their alcohol and legal weed, never heard of anyone using gas station heroine 😂
This is an antidepressant that's probably pretty useful to take therapeutically for that right people. People can abuse anything. That's not a valid excuse to ban it as far as I'm concerned. If I, or anyone else, kills themselves by doing something stupid.... well, I'm sorry for the pain I caused people that care about me, but I'm still happy we had the freedom to do what we wanted.

I think all drugs should be legal, including kratom, but kratom is not without its own risks and side effects. It's not just "safe" to take however and whenever you want. I suspect it will be banned by all these idiots in the future.

I know it’s a double edge sword. You want to warn them, but I probably would try to clear the shelves and then warn them because kids think they’re invincible and they’ll run to get this stuff now and they’ll buy a lot of it in fear of it going off the shelf permanently. Addicts will too.
