  • Chaco Culture National Park is a World Heritage Site located in the arid desert lands of New Mexico. This sacred site, often called 'the centre of the centre' housed an ancient civilisation that, despite living in extreme weather conditions, built complex multi-story structures and developed trade routes throughout present-day Central America and the United States.

I learned about this place from a book called "Bone Walker", written by archeologists W. Michael Gear and Kathleen O’Neal Gear. It's the 3rd book of their Anasazi Mysteries series.

Much more interesting than Mesa Verde. And way fewer tourists.

The Four Corners Area USA - the Hopi Native Americans say is the HEART of Mother EARTH. It is a very SACRED Area. It is why the Hopi Native Americans live close to the Earth and take great care to RESPECT Mother Earth. They cause as little harm to Earth as possible. The waters were always fresh & clean due to their care.

With my respect, "One of the most important buildings in the history of the entire world" maybe is a bit exagerated.

I would love to know the extent of their trade routes. Prehistory is full of trade routes not often spoken of

I would like a detailed DNA trace through the indigenous communities to see how they all relayed to each other!

There be some haters in the comments ... or more like elitists? Like cool, new world civilizations are younger than those found in the continents of Africa and Asia. But some of the comments seem to imply new world civilizations are just inferior to other continents' ancient civilizations. 🤔
