Nice little comparison video. I thought since we have reviewed both of these guns, this would be a nice tabletop comparison. If you want to watch our reviews on each respective pistol, here are the links: (Slightly older videos, but hopefully still informative)
Springfield XDs .45 ACP: • Springfield XDs
Smith and Wesson Shield 9mm: • S&W 9mm M&P Shield
Also, make sure you check out our surplus firearm reviews. There are two excellent links you can click at the end of the video that will take you to a few of them.

Old Barry, what a cool dude and good firearm educator. Rest in Peace, Barry, rest in peace...
R.I.P Barry... you are constantly missed.
@Binyamin Shmuel Oppenheim Barry passed away from a heart attack back in 2014... 😢😭
Sorry r.I.p
😥😥
Wow I'm late to the game I can't believe that, I glad I cant watch his old vids because I can't bare the thought that he's gone I refuse to believe that. I'm 27 and I got into guns at 24 this guy is awesome. Thank you sir now ima go cry because I'm just finding out.
@@anson_carter yea Barry was a good guy, I watched him when I was 11 or 12 and I’m still learning from him today and I’m 21, he meant something to the 2A community
The choice here is absolutely crystal clear, just get both LOL
truckindawg1 I did 😂
That's what I did!
truckindawg1 I have the Springfield.
Ahahaha. Next thing you know, you owe multiple guns in similar calibers.
I did!!!
Like the gentlemanly way Barry credits Eric for his work. Class.
Can't go wrong with either the xds or shield in 9mm
I liked the Springfield Armory XDs so much more than the S&W Shield, I ended up buying both XDs .45 that my local dealer had in stock. So yes, I own 2 of the XDs and enjoy them both.
I like my shield 45 acp more currently have the xd 45 acp
I finally turned 21 this weekend and I did a search to compare these two for a CCW. Even after all this time, it's nice to still get to learn from Barry :)
Man...you guys KEEP OUT-DOIN' YOURSELVES !! What a GREAT VIDEO....straight and to-the-point ....in the windup. You focus on the KEY FACTORS and bring it all together concisely so that I/we can....MAKE A DECISION and get on down the road. I also appreciate
BOTH of your perspectives in that you may not always agree 100% but you counter-balance each other and in the midst YOU LET YOUR VIEWER DECIDE. LET THE RIVER OF KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE....KEEP ON FLOWIN' !!!
there's actually a loaded chamber indicator on every gun. there's a hole on the front of every gun and if you look straight down it, you can see the tip of the bullet if it's loaded. please understand its a joke...
This just made be spit juice out 😂 that was great
Jacob Fuhrer I’m here so late to say this but glad you said it’s a joke there’s quite a few stupid people out there
Every gun does not have a loaded chamber indicator
@@jimmiahdunn8443 Read more than the first sentence
wait is that frowned upon? I do that every time to see if I have a round chambered. I hold it in my less dominant hand for safety.
I started watching to learn and two years later I still learn something new with every video. Thanks guys.
Basic, common sense, to the point, non biased and qualitative info. When you give an opinion you back it up with an example. You don't spout unqualified "facts" and you demonstrate what you say (you talk with your hands). As an instructor I enjoyed watching. As a gun owner I was informed. You don't dumb it down but you aren't arrogant either. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks, guys.
I concur wholeheartedly with you. Common sensical, basic, useable information, without a bias.
Had a Shield 9mm for over a year. Traded it in for the updated XDs. Shield was basically too small in the grip for my hands. Shot very well though. The safety on it was another issue that I just never was comfortable with. Third was trigger reset. I am so used to shooting Glock that I like to have the reset spring back up instead of being floppy until engaged as the Shield does. XDs pumps right back. Also unlike the others in the XD line, the XDs' trigger stays back just like a Glock when it has been pulled. Good visual cue for guns condition.
Love the way Barry honored Eric's efforts here and continue to appreciate the channel.
just want you guys to know that there's a bunch of us up here in new york that love your video's and respect your advice , please keep up the good work , I know you put your heart and soul into all of this and it shows.
Just wanted you to know that.
Thank you ...jim
Croatia is a Mediterranean country with a Mediterranean climate. It has high mountains however.
I am one of those subscribers who really enjoys all of your videos because I love learning from them. Great stuff, keep up the good work!
IMO the xds had way better sights
Half of Croatia is mediterranean, other half is continental. The avarage temperature in January is between -1 and +5 Celsius.
Yes, that had me scratching my head. 😀
Yeah my family is from Croatia originally and I have researched the country extensively and have several friends there. It made me scratch my head as well but overall this is a good video. I think people just know that it is Eastern Europe so they automatically presume that Eastern Europe means Siberia.
So true, I learn so much from your videos. Being new to firearms there is a lot to learn. I just want to thank you for your time and expertise. Keep up the good work.
Another, high-quality, informative video. I appreciate you guys taking the time to do these videos. I have the XDS in .45 and the Shield in .40 and I like both guns. In fact, I have a hard time deciding which I like better.
I miss Berry he's up in heaven shooting with Elmer Keith now.
+dale lima Not if you believe in the bible.

true
+John Smith I think u mean if you don't believe in the bible.... But thanks for playing
Every time I watch all these old vids and see Barry I get sad. I never met him but damn with all of these vids I felt like I did. RIP brother.
I chose the XDs with 4.0" bi-tone. Looks as good as it shoots.
Erik, welcome home brother and thanks for your service. Life Member of the VFW, Vietnam, '73 was there when it ended. Join up with the VFW if you haven't already. I know you were a combat Vet, all you need is the Combat medal.
I have both XDS 45, &9 and own all the M&P Shield series 9,45, & 40 and just purchased the Performance Center 9 & 40 and I love shooting all of them. Gotta love America. You can Have your cake and eat it too 😊
Great video, guys. You know, heading down to the local gun shop and asking stupid questions can be tough for a guy like me that's just trying to increase my knowledge about guns and their safe use. I've learned so much from your videos in a way that doesn't make me feel like a complete fool standing in front of someone behind a counter. Thanks!
The show will never be the same without Barry, such a shame what happened.
What happened with barry?
Abdalla Taha He unfortunately passed away a while back.
That hurts 😔
Gazooo29 .
@@brandnubian11 sadly he committed suicide.
I have been watching your videos for a few weeks now. And i can say i have learned a lot. And as a first time gun owner i can really appreciate your helpful tips. Thanks and please keep up the good work
I sold my 9mm shield and got a 3.3 9mm xds, and am extremely happy with it. The shield was a nice upgrade from the khar cw9 I had before it, but I didn't care for the shield so much. It sucks too, since I paid 520 for it because there were like 10 in the US at the time. To me the big difference is in the grip and the trigger. I have slightly larger than average hands and the xds really fits my hand well, and the trigger is superior as well. It makes for a much better shooting gun for me. The shield shot well though for a gun of its size, but the xds shoots well for a gun of any size.
will no one believes that you got 1/10 guns the US had at the time.. you got burnt by your dealer and rightfully so since you’re an idiot for believing that
Eric: i believe the xd is a better built gun - nuff said
I work in security and I can tell you from years of experience I trust my life with Springfield. reliable, accurate, and the grip feels amazing. also the ambidextrous magazine release is worth the extra money. I train fire with both hands and it's really handy to drop the magazine without having to transition.
I just bought the xds and it was only $50.more than the Shield.
Fast forward to 2023. I have both of these firearms except my XDS is a 45. The secondary market for the Shield is well stocked. I've seen used Shields in good condition in the mid 200s. That is a lot of gun for the money.
I give myself a little chuckle every time I think about my friend and his brother saying they love Springfield because it is American made.
it i American made except the XDs right? I really prefer Smith to XDS anyway. i think an XD is just an overpriced glock copy. I prefer to go American made.
I love America as much as the next guy but "made in America" actually doesn't mean its 100% American made and just because the xds is made Croatia doesn't mean its lesser quality who knows what quality of workers and factories S&W has in the usa might not be as good as what Springfield has in Croatia who knows
RowdyRaginRosco 1985 Even thought they are made in Croatia, they are still great quality. I'm betting my life on it.
I don't doubt the quality of a Springfield.
I think it is funny how my friend his brother say they are made in America when it says it is made in Croatia on the frame.
They each have an XDM one a .40 the other a .45
The XDS does look like a fine carry piece and I would consider getting one myself. So many options out there now.
RowdyRaginRosco 1985 I'm from Croatia, not only that the gun is made here but it is a 100% Croatian product. After Springfield made a deal with HS Produkt, it was imported in the US and rebranded as Springfield XD series. First HS2000 (XD) was developed in Croatia and adopted by our military in 1999. But don't worry though, we make very high quality firearms. I definitely understand if someone wants to buy stuff made in their own country - that's ok, but that doesn't mean that foreign guns aren't good (especially european ones). Nobody would complain if they could have a BMW haha.
Good insight in regards to the weather and aggressive serrations on the XDS. I live in South Dakota, and I got the XDS 9mm.
Well, most of Croatia, except for the Adriatic cost has a continental climate with very hot summers and very cold winters, but You have to know the XDS is not made for the Croatian market. There is no market for single-stack pocket guns in Europe. It is illegal to conceal a weapon in Croatia, You have to carry it in a visible place. This gun is made for you and you alone.
Unfortunately so many of us that live in America have very limited knowledge of foreign countries & even other States for that matter. I thought it interesting & funny when that comment was made. Yes......the gun is made in Croatia but it is imported by Springfield (who's headquarters is in Geneseo, Illinois) for the American market. Love Springfield guns!!!!! Fit & finish are excellent & all slide components are metal.
Very Solid guns
Thanks Guys ! I am one of the subscribers who has learned a LOT from your channel. I have probably learned more from your channel than from any other source, you guys are the BEST UA-cam channel out there !
In addition to the price difference, I find it important to buy U.S. made products.
I really appreciate your videos. They are packed full of good information, analysis, real world testing (very important), and are produced in a way that makes them fun to watch! Keep up the good work Gentleman! :-)
Croatia is not very cold, but I get your point! :)
Thanks for the awesome review!
2020 and I still miss Barry so much. RIP😒
I live in Springfield, Ma, which is where the S&W factory is, and where Springfield Armory used to be located, but it closed down in the 1960's I think. Now the Springfield Armory is a museum. I go to school in Worcester, Ma, which is where Kahr Arms is located. It's funny how a state that has a history of making guns, has such strict gun regulations. I own a XDS, great pistol.
Love your videos, thanks for your honesty and wisdom... I just bought my first carry gun, I went with the Shield.... couldnt be happier
I recently bought a Shield in 40 cal with a Crimson Trace laser and OWB holster for about the cost of an XDS. Nothing wrong with the Springfield at all. Great gun. Both get the job done, but the Smith is less money and made in the US.
Wow, first time I've ever heard somebody say they prefer the stock trigger on the M&P
The XDS has a better trigger
Thank you guys for taking the time to make these videos
I miss Barry! You're great Eric but I do miss him.
Yeah we all miss Barry. It's trippy checking out these old videos and know you're getting knowledge from a ghost. RIP Barry. ✊🏾
+BosleyBeats - Very well said sir.
Agreed, I'm glad Eric left these videos up. It's got to be hard for him even now, you never recover from losing certain people in your life. You can move on but that pain is always there
I have two conceal carry pistols that I often rotate, XDS45 and M&P Shield 9. i find the Shield easier to conceal thou , lighter and thinner plus i get to carry more rounds easier but still carry the .45 from time to time.
old video, but I'd like to point out something. The shield has a polymer mag release button, whereas the XDs mag release is metallic.I really prefer the polymer and this is why...Living in the south means you're going to sweat outside. Ive had issues with metallic mag release buttons corroding because of this when carried IWB. Granted this also depends on your holster model.
EASILY the best gun channel on UA-cam. No fanboyism or ego-stroking to be found. Keep up the good work gentlemen, Kudos.
I'm trying to take a stand and buy American made fire arms. Not that I don't want other's. Hi-point 4595, S&W SD9VE, Palmetto state armory Ar-15. I love you guys and your videos. Can you make a video of American made, the best of? Thanks Dirtbillys nv
This is a great idea and by american made that should mean true made in a america guns, not guns we took from other countries and made our own versions, such as glock is made in both austria and the US, or beretta how italy makes the m92 and we the m9.
Rather about guns made here and only here.
Talon rubberized grips on that XD-S will take care of that abrasion for EDC. I say this from personal experience - give that a try.
Checked both of these out the other day. My impression: The shield has a terrible trigger reset(mushy with no positive click) and it's sights aren't as good as the xds.
+Dr. Tautology My Shield came with factory night sights, they're great.
Yeah...... The trigger on the xds 9 is a lot better than the Xds 40 which Eric owns. Seems like he just assumed they used the same trigger which they did not. Springfields are just better made guns with all metal upper components. No polymer in a Springfield upper hence the extra weight
I know if you guys a had a Television sitcom, you guy will do great. Keep up the great work. Learning a whole lot
Eric and Larry I like your shop thank you for comparing the XDS and the M&P Shield great presentation but I like the M&P Shield better just because it's American made I love America anyway thank you so much young men are doing a great job for sharing the love
His name was Barry, not larry. He has passed.
So sorry about that
+Joseph Framo Thats no problem! Just wanted to be the one to correct it before someone else does it, in a rude way lol.
I’m a BIG Glock Fan Boy but I purchased a Shield just like the one you guys are featuring in this vid and I can tell you I’m sooooooo happy I did, what a great smooth gun it is. Thanks for your vid and I’m subscribed.
XDs it is!
+iTheGeek I'm not very smart but have to say me and my wife are extremely pleased. the xds is very simple to break down, also a point hickok45 made, the xds fits some , but not all longer fingers better. my wife apparently fell in the same group as hickok45. but I do have to say , both of these guns are pretty dang awesome.
+cutnsidewayz Cause theirs is the only review that matters, right? They still had nothing but good things to say about the XDS and most reviews put the XDS over just about everything in that price range.
+iTheGeek Ya, your comment isn't the smartest, to be honest. They both had overwhelmingly positive things to say about both guns.
good to see these “oldies” with old Barry. He sure knew his guns.
Slap a set of Talon rubberized grips on that XDs and that seems to solve all of your problems with the gun. I own both and can tell you that the XDs is of far superior quality (you can easily tell by looking at the magazines, and feed ramps). Yes, the M&P feels better in the hand, but with the Talon Grips I would say that is a mute point. I love my XDs, the M&P is alright.
Nick Case you have no idea what your talking about
Doesnt the shield now have a 2.0 model with better upgrades that come stock?
Failed to mention...The XDs does have a loaded chamber indicator on top of the slide as well as a window on the side, between the barrel and slide. You can visually see if it's chambered like the Shield. They said they prefer visual on the Shield, but XDs has both
Don't go cheep... Buy the xds. Better sights, amby mag release, two back straps, light rail, tang safety & comes wit two mags, mag pouch's & holster in a nice case...
Don't go cheap? My Shield came with factory night sights that are excellent. I couldn't care less about an ambi mag release. I think the Shield feels great in the hand, it doesn't need two back straps.I have no need for a light rail on a tiny carry gun. My Shield came with two 8 round magazines and one 7 rounder. Plus it's an American made pistol. I guess I don't feel like I cheaped out.
For $369.00 at buds that's a good deal for a gun that feels good in ur hand and has a 7 pound trigger pull.. enjoy.
Who gives a shit about amby win you shoot right
I got my wife the xde in 9mm, its striker fired and the trigger is awesome for factory. I honestly like it better than either my xD mod2 in 3.3" or 4" and we got it for under $400 new with 5 mags, lock, cleaning rod, and a range bag.
Learning and Entertainment Too!!! That is what it is all about. Your videos are so easy to watch and understand. It makes me feel comfortable and relaxed while I absorb all of the info. Your input about all the different situations and environments helps to make a personal purchase decision. It shows that you put a lot of thought and effort into your videos!!!
Man I miss Barry
Bought a NIB shield. no safety..yay!
1. conceals great, thin, and rides great no matter what I'm doing.
2. trigger is a little gritty. but with little effort I polished up a few spots on trigger. world of difference.
3. ergonomics are above average for its class.
4. $380 out the door.
5. if you carry, this is an affordable yet solid firearm.
The Shield has proved to be one of the top concealed carry guns over the past two years. It's either a Glock 26 or a Shield 9mm as the best overall carry gun. The other guns are decent but these two guns are top of the line.
I have both. Shield is slightly better for carry because it's thinner.
Why do you think the shield is superior to the xds?
will Don't have an XDS to compare, but the Shield is made in America. It's also a lot cheaper, very thin, easy to disassemble, good trigger, nice finish on the slide, holds 8+1 rounds, has numerous holster options, choice of thumb safety or no thumb safety, comes with 2 magazines, and it is one the most reliable handguns you can purchase on the market today.
Why?
ive been looking up any videos i can find on the shield and ive seen plenty of your videos before, happy to see you have yet another couple of facts to set my purchase in stone! thanks as always!
Shield it is!
I owned a Shield... buy the XDS. The fact that S&W evaluated the Shield in R&D and decided to put it on the market with a trigger THAT terrible says a lot about where their priorities lie.
you can also get a shield without a safety
I have owned the Shield for over 6 months now, it didn't take long to learn where the trigger breaks. The seer smoothed out after about 300ish rounds and I'll average 3" groups at 6 to 8 yrds. I was surprised this little guy had less felt recoil then my larger pistols. I use the ext pinky mag and added Talon sticky grip for a good purchase when drawing from holster.
Dee-Bee Kooper crying about a trigger its really not that bad i know damn well if you had to ever use it on someone you would never notice it sheild is a damn good gun i love it and if it botherd you could have just gotten an apex trigger job
Got into this channel after Barrys pasing and still miss him. Its almost like sitting down with ny pap talking about guns. RIP
Shields trigger is horrible compared to the xds 9
vansurfing I have to disagree.. The shield has a better trigger.
I pit the APEX TRIGGER in my shield. Its night and day. Nice reset, not super audible
Agreed - Shield trigger is like pulling through a bag of crisps.
Yeah that's what I was about to say that xds trigger is better than the Glock trigger the SW trigger and probably the pps trigger but those are far more close in quality.
Just get the shield 2.0
Excellent point with the cold weather theory! Now I have to buy both... One for summer and the other for winter!
Don't agree with a lot of your points. The loaded chamber indicator - how are you going to check a spy hole in the dark? The aggressive finish both on the grip and the slide - it's not just for cold weather - if you're hot and sweaty, do you want to lose your grip on the gun? I doubt it.
I think you're forgetting the primary purpose of a gun - to save your life. All of the things you said you don't like about the XDs are reasons it is better than the Shield.
Ras Ro you check by looking down the barrel of the gun with a flashlight it’s not rocket science
Sorry to hear that. From what I understand, it is mostly limited to recent production pistols, but they are including all previously manufactured pistols just out of caution. I have had mine since May of last year and have put more then 2,000 rounds through it without a single hiccup. I just preformed the inspection with no need for repair. Hope you like yours as much as I like mine.
Croatia is a Mediterranean country.
Rifleman it has normal season changes but I wouldn’t consider it a “cold weather country “ like you a Mediterranean country close to Greece I believe.
Holy crap, Eric.... Just realized that you guys hit one million subs! Congrats
The price difference between these two guns is about $100 not $150, I bought the Shield...not just because it was cheaper. It felt better in my hand. Springfield put too much textured surfaces on their Croatian sensation.
i have the xds9 and i too dont like the grip texture. its too aggressive. but i found a remedy, the talon grips. the rubber talon grips i use on my carry guns and they take away all the aggressiveness of the xds grip.
depends on where u get the guns. my shield was 400 + tax. and xds is 600-650, so ive seen the xds as much as 250 $ more which is just stupid. Never seen a shield more than 425 $. Springfield does that bullshit with everything for no real reason.
Forrest McCullar You're way off here. The shield will go for around 330-400. There are two packages for the xds. The essential package goes from 430-500 and the normal package with the holster and mag carrier goes for around 500 and up. I have never seen an xds for 650.
"Croation Sensation." Lol! That's why I went with S&W-Made In USA.
Forrest McCullar Springfield does not regulate the "in store price" for their handguns. They Produce the MSRP (Manufacturer SUGGESTED retail price). What the retailer/dealer does from there is on the "retailer/dealer". The MSRP for the Shield is $449.00. My essentials kit cost $480.00, and the handgun includes upgraded (im my opinion) fiber optic front sight, adjustable backstrap (Which these two did not mention when referring to "fit in hand"), and the overall fit and finish of the handgun quality is better (Per their own words in this video). I also Got the "Summer Single Stack" incentive, which includes a double mag pouch and three Magazines (7, 8 and 9 round magazines). All of which makes up for MORE than the difference between both handguns.
Please do more "Firearm Facts" episodes. I enjoy hearing more about the mechanics and engineering of a firearm than I do watching someone besides me shooting them. Kind of the same reason when I go to a race I spend most of it in the pits and not in the stadium.
Just put some money down for a 9mm Shield. I have been dying to get one. They just came out here in Commiefornia.
Andre Morales 439.99 at Turner's. Start my DROS in a couple days. they've got 9 and 40.
Ron, I just bought one. I was looking at the Beretta Nano vs. the Shield. Handsdown, the Shield is the way to go. Feels good, shoots good and easy to disassemble. You'll be pleased.....
Lyle W You will not be disappointed.
Congrats Lyle! Let me know how it goes.
just got the non compliant version of the Shield in 9mm.
I must say, it's freaking nice.
Thx, for another great gun review. I just picked up a 9 mm Shield to supplement my Glock and Springfield collection.
i love my xds. . its beautiful
good video ;)
just you 2 guys hanging out and talking are entertaining to me as well
The XDS has a rail and the Shield doesn't right?
Rails on guns like these are useless. These are made to conceal carry, not for using as combat side arms.
XDS is plenty concealable. It just gives you more options
Crimson trace makes a nice laser attachment for the Shield that doesn't even require a rail. They are $200 plus though.
Yes that's one option. Last I checked some people like more options.
Chris Neelon
Some people would rather use their conceal carry guns as their bedside home defense gun as well, and being able to add a flashlight would be a plus
There is an XDs and a Shield recall. That often happens with new models. The skin chafing would be reduced if you have a holster that covers the butt area on the gun. It will also help protect the gun so that it does not get exposed to as much body fluids (sweat, oil, etc.). I would choose the XDs between the two myself. But that is just me.
Thanks for the review. I am going to get the Shield for my wife. Anthony.
See if she can rack the slide, it is very stiff. Also, it is difficult to load the last couple of rounds in the mags. The springs can be relaxed, the coils at the top are very stiff, use a long nosed plier across the coils, it takes a bit out of each coil. The lower coils have much more give to them, can be left alone.
Well, if she works the barbells and is named Anthony she won't have any problems with the Shield…. ;-}
Thanks for your help on this. I appreciate it. I have her set up for some classes so she can get started on the right foot. Take care.
is your'e wife name Anthony? is shemale?
Gun Bats that's not funny. Quit being a douche
It has to do with the trigger malfunctioning and the drop safety bar not keeping the firearm safe when the gun is dropped. Essentially, if you drop it, it could go boom. They have instructions on their website to check your gun to see if it has the issue. It can all be done visually.
God I miss Barry.
The Shield can be with or without the thumb safety now. My dad has the 9mm Shield w/o manual safety and it's an awesome little carry piece.
I own the XD-S in .45 ACP and the S&W Shield in 9mm and I prefer the XD-S. Both are great guns, but I really enjoy the XD-S more.
I'm not in love with gun channels but y'all are top shelf.
Finally a video that helped me make up my mind about which gun to get.
Just a quick note to tell you how much I appreciate both you, Eric, & you, Berry! The time & effort you take to make this such a great channel is appreciated. The knowledge, advise & content in the videos is very helpful. Keep on keeping on! God bless both of you....
Thank you for this review. I purchased the Shield chambered in .40 and am very happy with my choice.
I've had the XDS-45 and my brother has the Shield 40 and now the 9mm version. After having the Glock 43 and Sig P365, I'm going back to Springfield and getting the 9mm version in stainless. The quality is just at a higher standard, you can't realize it until you've experienced it. The Kahr PM9 was also nice, but just overall kind of weird and yes it has the best DAO trigger for its size (because the Sig P250 is just as nice but a bigger gun) but I want a nice reset when I'm shooting paper.
You videos are to the point, informative, and well.....just simply good. I have been looking for a compact and it was down to these two. Your video definitely helped with my next purchase. Thanks for the hard work on all your videos.
A really good solution to the deep concealment problem is the N82 Tactical holster. I use on for my SR9 and I have absolutely no complaints. It's American made by a small company and has a lifetime warranty.
I own a S&W M&P 40c and its a VERY good firearm. I would HIGHLY recommend yall review that firearm
This is why there are so many different kinds of guns in the hands of Americans today. I can listen to this video today and hear someone say they think the S&W Shield is superior to the XD-S, while yesterday I heard two other prominent UA-camrs praise that same XD-S on features you fellas said you didn't like. It's another reason why I like this channel: You're not followers, you just say what you like and what you don't like. Keep it up, boys.
Got a shield today for 299 on sale no tax because was on my duty station(military post) had to get it I have a XDS but what really draw me to the shield was summer conceal carry less layers more comfortable.
***** Conceal Carry on any Military installation is a Federal Offense. Press your luck.... Clown.
sanleunam You get that price online somewhere or local?
I got the SW Shield 9mm and thing it is very nice. It shoots very nicely, fits my hand, very easy to conceal, and it is made in the US.
Miss you Barry! You are not forgotten man.
I just switched from the Shield to the XDS. The XDS just feels better and has a better trigger. New XDS cost me $350. Great deal!
