Between 1991 and 2008, the Wacky Races enjoyed five home consoles video game releases, spanning the NES to the Nintendo Wii. We're about to take a look at all five of them, including one of the worst games I've ever played - strap yourselves in, folks.

Loved Starring Dastardly and Muttley for 20 years now :) Glad I gave up on Mad Motors straight away and stuck with the classics xD
im on the same boat as CrashFan, i've been playing the PS2 games since i was a kid, and i have studied them to no end, so it's almost poetic to see somebody with an editing style like this talking about the games, no matter how large they are. for me, it's a hidden gem that just keeps on giving! you sir, have just earned a subscriber.
Thanks for this, as a big fan of Wacky Races and someone who has played the games this was a treat. My main issue with Mad Motors is it makes Wacky Races boring and of all things Wacky Races should not be boring.
Did you know that Infogrames Sheffield House the developers behind Wacky Races Starring Dastardly and Muttley would go on to form Sumo Digital famous for the Sonic and Sega series of games?
I personally loved the PC/ PS1 version but it's sadly showing it's age. The PS2 version is ultimately the best one. The Wii one I also love because you are essentially "playing an interactive version of the show" which is a neat idea and once you get the hang of it it can be really fun.
Here is a fun fact for you: Infogrames had some great developers, but the conditions they put their employees under is the equivalent of modern day konami, and yet the employees STILL managed to churn out so much quality on such a rapid basis. The best example is the dreamcast version of V-Rally 2. The main developer for the port... was the ONLY developer. and he had less than a year. truly incredible.
Its so nice to see people make videos on Wacky Races, one of my favorite cartoons ever.
Little late correction: you do unlock red max in the wacky races ps1 game, you gotta win in every single race at least once with any character in single player mode.
Funny and well made video man! Infogrames released a great Wacky Races game for the Gameboy Color too, and it's videly regarded as a great racer on that system (it's really colorful and fun). Now you have to re-release this video with the GBC game edited in! 😁
I think the PS1 version has aged best of these, it's somehow closest to the show in the aesthetics. Some levels in the PS2 Dastardly and Muttley game looks good too with the cell shaded art style.
There's some information more. On the ps1 version you can play with Red Max too, but you have to complete the challenges based on the time in some circuits. It's a very good car to drive and have the capacity of fly during more time.
Oh man, _Dastardly & Muttley_ is one of my favourite racing games ever. I've sunk hours into this between doing the races proper and getting the hang of the cars or even just slowing down, driving around and appreciating the track details. The Mean Machine boss races are still a thing of nightmares for me, but hey, it keeps me coming back.
I only discovered the NES game recently and now I really want to do _Wacky Races_ pixel art. 😁 Also, Judas Priest, *Blast:* Kings of the pound shop license game. XD

@@challengerross Ah, that's a classic. It's a great one for giving Frasier some pathos. The later seasons were full of that self-reflection/self-awareness, be it as parody or an exploration of what we understand as "the _Frasier_ formula."
_Frasier's Edge_ is like a culmination of previous episodes that built up how emotionally unsatisfied he is.

I’m getting most of these games asap after getting the full dvd collection which is at Walmart for anyone who wants to get the dvd at a reasonable price. I can’t wait and loved growing up with this!
Atlus used to make licensed games like Rockin' Kats and Widget so that is why Wacky Races for the nes existed.

You forgot the Arcade game which is pretty fun but nothing special.
My friend owned the Starring Dastardley and Muttley one and let me keep the game for a while but I wanted to own a Wacky Races game too so I came across Mad Motors and yeah... the game just leaves a lot to be desired. It's so bad it makes me not want to play Wacky Races at all.
On another note, I think they missed out on making an arcadey plane game and take advantage of the Dick Dastardley's Flying Machines series too.
My favourite Wacky Races game is Wacky Races Starring and Muttley
The only REAL negative about Wacky Races Crash and Dash is that Dick Dastardly and Muttley in the Mean Machine aren't playable. Heck, they're not even unlockable. Honestly, the game would've been a little more better if the game actually had Dick Dastardly playable in this, but nope! He's non-playable in this one and there's no way to unlock him as a playable character, (he does show up in the Mean Machine #00 right before the minigame starts, and is unlockable along with the Mean Machine in the gallery, but what's the point) which is just plain stupid considering he was actually playable in some, like the Game Boy Color game, the PS2 games, (and also the Dreamcast) (the original Wacky Races and Wacky Races Starring Dick Dastardly & Muttley, as well as Wacky Races Mad Motors) the PS1 game, the arcade game and even that Java game which came out in 2004 for mobile phones.
