  • in This video I take you through the step by step process on how to install a multicolor waterproof light bar strip with remote behing your Dodge Durango hood scoop grille which would be a similar process to installing on a challenger, charger and other mopar vehicles. Vehicle used on this install is a 2018 Dodge Durango. Also be mindful that this multicolor LED bar should only be used for entertainment purposes while vehicle is on display. By law we should not have this On while driving on the road. Electronic devices can sometimes fail which would make it a good idea to put a switch inside interrupting the ground so that it never accidentally turns on while on the road.

      @@uno3863 lol. Well i did this on a friends vehicle. Only issue she has had with it is that it turns ON on its own sometimes. So I recommend you put an interruptor switch to cut the ground when u don't plan on using it. And then when u know ur gonna be parked and wanna use it, you can flip the switch and its ready to go now when you want to power it up with the remote.

    Amazing job on detailed video. I have no patience but curious about that top vent. If you have to peel hood insulation to get to to the vent then it really has to be a blind vent, right? Really no functional value if you have 5.7L? If so, that much more of a "don't care" if you reduce air flow by putting light bar there?

    I also have a light. But after a couple years. It’s dead. So I ordered 2. I am wondering, if I wire the 2 lights together, could I control them with the same remote?

      If you use the same box controller then yes you should be able to but you would need to match the wires that go from the box to the light.

      Have yu ever had any trouble with it?? LEDs blowing out? Random colors?

    • @EddiesCustomsandRestorations
      @EddiesCustomsandRestorations  Рік тому +1

      @@kingdave6910 the only trouble is it will sometimes turn on on its own but always stays in the same setting. It doesn't go into random colors by itself. So to fix this I just recommend adding a on/off switch. That way when you flip the switch ON, then you can control it with the remote.

      @@EddiesCustomsandRestorationsI’m probably going to tie into the DRL power so it’ll turn on by itself with those.
