"If you are gonna teach, then as a responsibility as a teacher, you need to find out the history, and if your teaching and you don't know the history then your not teaching, your just showing moves" Straight up truth.
His words and the fact that he brought Bboy Born up shows me why Born is the way he is. I learned a lot in 10 minutes... Real Talk, this is my inspiration
poe 1 bringing the truth as always. ive taken a workshop by him and it was the best one i've ever attended. also props to strife for making this available and the handy clickable links at the end of the vid!
POE ONE speaks true words of wisdom. Even though I can't hit it like some other seasoned bboys, I learn what I can about the history, about the culture, and the various meanings as to why people bboy. In addition to that, I'm trying to bring in new things as well, such as the "anime breaks" as people have called it. The raw energy this art form has, with its musical and visual appeal, will keep it going for decades and decades.
Yesterday I attend to a workshop of Poe One in Navarra (north Spain) it was amazing! He teaches us some up-rocks, downrocks, footwork & legwork, backrocks .... He speaks about where the moves come from, who was the first doing it and he told us to go back and do research, learn, and find the root from the move so we got an idea of it and doing it, practicing it, even if we do mistakes, we can maybe do something new and so add our own flavor to it our own fingerprint. Piz!
Congrats on your 600th vid strife! And what a great way to make it 600...imo one of the best interviews on the channel. Thanks for doing what your doing...keep it up! Peace
the way poe one talks makes everything seem more interesting. he could be bsing me (not saying he is) and i'd still probably think it was true. as a person who never attended his workshop, i'd say i would learn a lot by going
This guy is so wack! LOL J/k Poe is a inspiration to many b-boys around the world. To learn from him is an honor. He key value to the community (B-Boy/B-Girl). Keep up the good Work Poe. And remember you literaaally got to put in the work to get better :D ;)
really dope interview. btw, at 7:1o is a small clip of me battling drunk (lol) against one of the dynamic rockers dude. is there anyway i can see/get the whole battle?
Now I Dont Know If Poe One Or Anybody Else Will Even Care About This Com. BUT, Ive Gotta Say I Hope To Become Someone Like Poe 1. And If Theres Somebody That Can Help Teach Me I'd Love To Seek Truth. Poe's workshop was the best $20 I've ever spent in my life. Would definitely be willing to take one again if given the chance.
