In theory you do not have to change the rotors every time. For Us, it’s just a best practice, and we are already in there so it’s just easier to do it all at once.
Getting ready to do a full brake job on a CLA45 AMG is there any issues with lifting the car on a two post lift, some cars need the battery disconnected for the suspension ?
reference your owners manual for Lifting specifics, however, I have personally never had an issue with lifting any vehicle that was NOT equipped with air ride suspension. If the vehicle is equipped with some form of air suspension then it is recommended to shut off required components such as the air compressor via a switch or battery disconnect.
Very detailed video I like it. If I'm working on one wheel at a time would I keep the car on the pad replacement mode until pads are completed on both sides or just exit once one side is done and re enter into the mode for the other side?
@@matthewmolina642 If it’s going to take you an extended amount of time, i would insure you have a charger on the vehicles battery and leave it in maintenance mode until both sides are done, insuring not to touch the brake pedal until after you exit maintenance mode.
For anyone wondering it’s the exact same on the 2020 cla250 and up
Very good 👍, explain in detail!
Thanks for the tutorial, could you please leave the link of the brake discs you are using?
They are from FCPEuro.com
currently they are not showing the vented rotors in stock
@@JPSTREETPERFORMANCE thanks
Do you have to change the rotors if you change the brake pads or only if they need changing?
