The un-grouping in the Windows taskbar is a deal-breaker for me. I was so frustrated for Windows 11 for not having it.
It is like Apple removing battery parentage and bringing it back to iOS 16 😅
I am new to PC so can you tell me if there are going to be an update option in the settings of my PC or if I have to go to any specific website to download it
@@manjupanda8506it's in the settings itself bro 😀
Have a nice day

Same here. I upgraded to windows 11 and when I found out we can't do that anymore i downgraded to windows 10. Now I know this feature is back, I'll upgrade to windows 11. So it's a deal breaker for me too
Congratulations Microsoft, took them a solid 2 years to do the bare minimum
@Kwinplevryes he can.
@Kwinplevr could your mom?
@Kwinplevr istg fanboys are something else man, they're a trillion dollar corporation my guy, TRILLION....they better do the bare minimum with all that money, all their competitors and even linux have these. Expecting some regular citizen to be competing on their level is just ridiculous
@Kwinplevr lmao wots ur point..... comparin a random guy to a big team , they should def do more
Bare minimum my ass. The only thing here that is bare minimum is ungroup feature and the new file formats.
He forgot to mention.
The ability to uninstall a huge ton of native bloatware
I have used like windows 95 and now using windows 11 saw how windows has progressed over the years and now I think in asthetics this is the most perfect windows version ever...
I agree. I love windows 11. It's so stable.
i have been using windows since windows 3.1

and what about usability ?
I've used only since XP, and I think the experience has only degraded for power users.

I'm a Mac user now but I appreciate that Microsoft is finally listening to its community. Those updates will make life a little easier for y'all.
Yeah, right. I'm a Windows user myself. But after hearing that WordPad is getting removed in updates like this, I decided to block this and other OS version updates like Wonder Woman blocking projectiles with her gauntlets. Microsoft doesn't listen to the community. In fact, Microsoft doesn't even give a shit about their consumers. They don't care about their users at all!
mac is best but is useless for us since it has very less games and less customizations
Waiting for Microsoft to make some features from Powertoys available on stock Windows . My favourites are Fancy zones , Always on top , File locksmith , Awake ,Colour picker , Power rename and Text extractor.
Power Toys is a huge W
Honesty, I was hoping they'd just make everything in powertoys baked into windows. I mean it would have been nice. the Text extractor is the most useful out of all of them.
@@Timely7it would be awesome. Imagine the text extractor built into the photos app and you can easily copy any text from any Image.
The Text extractor will be built into the future version of the Snipping tool. It's already available for Insiders
Awake really needs to be natively supported
I don't think WinRAR and 7zip will die because they have additional useful features that 23h2 doesn't provide
@@siddharthsirvaiya3544 right 💯
most people don't use these functionalities
And that obvious feature is to CREATE rar or 7zip files that windows still will not have
Yeah. Windows Explorer can't even extract protected zip files in Windows 11.
@@siddharthsirvaiya3544 Because rar is a proprietary format. Windows will have to pay license fee to allow these features which most people will not use. I think almost 70% people want winrar only to extract rar files. They hardly use advanced rar features. And to support all features Microsoft will have to make a separate app for it as everything can't be integrated into explorer. Separate app means replacement for winrar which of course winrar would not want.
Really appreciate the chapters that you have kept in the video :) makes it really easy and fast to come back and watch a particular part of the video quickly.
Finally that ungroup taskbar feature has returned. I was so mad when I updated to Win 11 and lost this feature.
I did too so i downgraded to windows 10. It has the option to downgrade to windows 10 if you have genuine windows
@@memeflixnchill Whhhhhaaat ? Why did nobody told me this before. I would have downgraded straight away.
@@travelandbeyonds yes if you have upgraded from windows 10 to 11 then it gives you option to downgrade if you don't like windows 11 (for 30 days) in the settings

Microsoft is putting in its best efforts to persuade users to switch from Chrome to Edge and Bing 😁
Edge is any day better than Chrome. And Bing, well we all know :)
Microsoft doesn't need to do anything.....as Edge is already a lot better than Chrome. Been using Edge for almost 4 years now....and it just keeps getting better!
Why users are already on Edge.
@@turboInfiniteBut Bing sucks!!
@@no_You_ Nope it doesn't.....I never encountered any problem while using Bing....And now with the Bing AI, it's just amazing!
winrar and 7zip will still be useful for those who create archives, such as people who make mods for video games.
Until this feature is added in to where you can (like zip currently), they aren't going away.
If copilot adds the feature to do hotkeys via Automation, it could very well replace autohotkey, voiceattack, etc.
Also the biggest feature here that wasnt touched in my opinion was the virtual hard drives. Now I wont need seportate harddrives, and they can automatically expand! I can keep my installation tidy by having my main C drive straight up clean with just Windows, make a new one for 3rd party apps, and another for Games. Just dont be confused, it wont give you additional space from nothing, its still taking up space on C. I can now use my External and Secondary drives as means to backup stuff locally instead.
7zip and WinRar can compress in different levels to save space. So it will not get replaced pretty easily
Do you have recommended setting to get the best compression on 7zip ?
@@isfantauhid just try max level / ultimate level of compression

Hope w12 is going to have even more serious settlings and some old favourites brought back from the past with a neat moden look. New user-friendly setups were if you already have an account, it's more straightforward and least perplexing to get wrong..
Love it if you can get a old friend back like that old paper clip in Microsoft Office it was just something from the past, but I love it if Microsoft would get a little bit retro?

Thanks Beebom for letting me know about the updates, since I keep my windows updates off all the time 😅😂
Hey, can you make a UI comparison?
Nice update, but why would it be the last one? It's not like Windows 11 seizes to exist when 12 appears. Both OSes might get similar or even same exact features via updates. So many are still using 10, but it seems this update might finally make it worth moving from 10 to 11. 12 might not be that big of a jump, perhaps much like 11 originally was compared to 10, so I'm not in a hurry to get it and I never update to a new Windows anyway before several months has passed, though this I'm yet less eager to get because Windows 11 still feels so new to me, so I might wait a great while before upgrading, but if there are appealing features those might change my mind.
It seems like finally Windows 11 matures to be worth carrying it's version number!
I'm still on Win10 and I think I won't be moving to 11 with Win12 coming next year. Hopefully MS will allow the upgrade from 10 to 12 in the same vein that 7 to 10 was allowed.

It's a populist comment made to garner likes.
Still using the old reliable and fast Windows 10, no feature or performance improvement in Windows 11 to justify an "upgrade". Will wait for Windows 12, hope it brings real juice, like under the hood performance gain with a new file system/kernel.
this is a great video, keep up the good work.
Fun Fact: Windows + C used to open Cortana.
But the big question is, is this big update finally stable or not?
Very close to stable.

You know what a really good update would be for windows? The Linux kernel and GNU software
I remember thy introduced a feature where you can run ubuntu on windows through WSL. They are slowly getting there. However the NT kernel has some design advantages by being a hybrid kernel and apparently it handles realtime IO and driver crashes better than the linux kernel. (maybe this is outdated info. I just remember reading sometime back the disadvantages of monolithic kernel)
I do believe most of the issues are being improved in linux, especially since Valve is prioritizing gaming development as they use Archlinux on steamdeck.
I dont think Satya Nadellas microsoft cares what kernel windows uses. But it is still actively developed with each version of windows. So i dont think they might switch soon.
@@winjaywin I think the major reason why Microsoft isn't using the Linux kernel is because they don't want to open source their OS. The license for the Linux kernel requires you to provide the source code for the software to anyone to asks for it and Microsoft really doesn't want that.
@@shreyasgavhalkar57 Microsoft's main revenue is from cloud services. Windows sales made up only around 12% of their revenue in 2022. And its steadily dropping. They use windows as a platform to sell their other software.
So it is conceivable that sometime in the future they can opensource the OS and sell proprietary software - like Redhat Linux. They can get rid if overhead of maintaining OS kernel in this way.

oh boy how often did i hear "THIS IS THE LAST WINDOWS UPDATE"
All good but can you drag and drop files between folders / apps now ?
this man seems way too excited but I admire the enthusiasm
I Wish microsoft provide a lite windows version including those functionalitys.
We should approach Windows 12 with skepticism. Microsoft is increasingly promoting cloud services, and there have been claims that a future Windows version, like Windows 12, might require a subscription for computer usage. Initially, this idea may seem far-fetched, and it's hard to believe anyone would implement such a system. However, when we consider Microsoft's history as a company, known for controversial practices, it becomes less surprising and more plausible the more we remind ourselves of who we're dealing with.
Nah even for Microsoft it's far fetched. Remember they made Windows with each version less dependent on a license. Win 7 could only run a month and then you couldn't do anything. Win 11 now lets you use it indefinitely. You just can't change the background and get that watermark later.
What about drag and drop files to other folders by dragging it to taskbar and switch apps?
Cortana approves from Archives!
I dont think anything is confirmed about this being the last major Windows 11 update but the rumors are that the next Windows version will release in late 2024 thereby more focus is on that than Windows 11 and Windows 11 will be like Windows 10 now in terms of updates.
Edit: You sort of mention this at the end of the video, lol.
Never group file explorer tabs. Just like windows xp ♥️
We need a feature where we can connect multiple bluetooth speakers/headphones and play audio out of all of them at the same time
