2 things that, in my very humble opinion, get said too much on youtube. 1. Underrated. 2. Best comment ever. Gotta say this qualifies for both, as far as I'm concerned. 11 likes is a sin for this kind of wit.
In the credits "Special Thanks To LAPIDUS POPCORN, INC." - In Real Genius, "Lapidus Popcorn, Inc." is credited as part of the production, specifically linked to the iconic popcorn scene. Lapidus Popcorn, Inc. was one of the suppliers that provided real popcorn for the scene. Over 140 tons of popcorn were used, making it a significant logistical challenge. The production team had to use specially treated popcorn, including some with fire retardant, to ensure safety during filming. The popcorn was continuously popped for months to achieve the effect. Lapidus Popcorn, Inc. was a popcorn supplier incorporated in California in 1971. There is little information publicly available about Lapidus Popcorn, Inc., and it appears the company primarily operated in the context of food supply and distribution, but is no longer active.
Actually in the 80s the name Kent was synonymous with upper class, wealthy, sophisticated well educated guys. This guy was a jerk but he was wealthy lol! Also it's Superman's secret last name. Not so bad.😊
It's an '80s movie. Take it for what that's worth. Just see it when you've got nothing else to do. It's not deep, it's got plot holes and wild scientific and technical inaccuracies, but it's fun, particularly for some rising star named Val Kilmer.
How the Ghostbusters got their revenge on Peck. By flooding his house with popcorn.
It's taken more than 35 years but the laser is finally a reality. No word on whether or not it makes popcorn.
I'm assuming you mean a laser that powerful. Because otherwise, we've had lasers for a while now.
D.E.W. as the MAUI reseidents
It does burn homes and forests though.
Me: Well guys, we’re going to need a truckload of popcorn bags and a pool full on butter.
"So how do we make Walter Peck even more unlikable?"
"Make him hate popcorn"
Have him be gay! I hated him as a kid. Lol

Let's just say in Chris Knight's case: You don't get mad, You get even.
"I think we used too much."
Did that guy play a dirty rotten scoundrel in Ghostbusters too?
Also the slimy reporter in the Die Hard series
Release the Blu Ray!!!!!
Great movie
Mmmm project blue beam

Wonder if they tried to replicate this on myth busters
Everybody wants to rule the world, am I right? 😏🥂
Back then we didn't see the significance of that song and the reality of a DEW...
DEW
Think home owner insurance would cover popcorn damage?
I think we used too much.
This movie was the shiznit.
Great scene but I would have had the popcorn bring the whole house down, although it would seem that it would have to be demolished probably.
"They caused an explosion!"
All hail Shockwave
Grateful I missed this film in the day
Do you prefer today's garbage instead?
My name is Kent and I was born in 85.
I think I have this name because of this lame movie.
It’s nots even the cool guy. It’s the goofy guy by himself.
Actually in the 80s the name Kent was synonymous with upper class, wealthy, sophisticated well educated guys. This guy was a jerk but he was wealthy lol! Also it's Superman's secret last name. Not so bad.😊
@ Kent cigarettes had asbestos filters basically ensuring their customers got lung cancer.
This looks like a terrible movie with a lot of incredible actors
