    Yes! I hate watching ppl deep condition and just apply it to the outside of a big section instead of breaking up the section to really coat the strands. And STOP trying to use a little bit of dc to “save” product cause you’re NOT saving your hair...slather it on girls! 👏🏽

      Been living in twist and scarf recently so I do exactly the same thing every wash day. Place it in 8 twist on each side and wear as a low bun. On wash day that’s my pre-poo sections. After shampooing it goes right back into those sections for my deep conditioning the next day. (I do a 2 day routine with a little conditioner left behind for moisture, because I don’t have the patience to hop back into the shower twice in one day anymore Lol) I repeat the cycle again until next wash day. Was separating the crown for the last month and a half though. Kinda annoying but worth it.

      I do cream only wash and gos, no gel. I use a leave in, curling cream and seal with olive oil, focusing on the ends. My wash and gos are more voluminous, moisturized and I hardly get single strand knots. I think the olive oil helps with that. My wash and gos also last 2 weeks and I have great length retention.

    For the 3:06 question, this definitely _is_ an actual problem for many people. BUT, keep in mind folks, we see ourselves everyday! I remember my hair being to my neck/above my collarbone and I always thought it was going to be that length. One year later, I got it flat ironed and I was shocked. My hair had finally reached past my shoulders. I never ever noticed the hair growth even when I was really invested. That's why other people notice faster than we do. Because if our mindset is, "my hair just isn't growing," that will show up in the mirror, even if that's not actuality. Be like SheaRea and always talk about your goal and strive for it, whether that be BCLH or BSL! You WILL reach it!

    Yeah, my hair does that extra gravity defying thing too when it's dry 😂 Definitely learn the difference between dry and and the texture of your hair, ya'll. Sometimes the hair isn't dry and we can just be feeling the structure of our kinks or curls and thinking it's dry, and end up causing product build up (done that.) You have to learn your hair to really know when it's time for a wash and some moisture.

    So true about Deep Conditioning. Its worth it using multiple sections. I also have started leaving in the deep conditioner in before detangling and that is a game changer for me.
    AlsoI have noticed that my mid length hair needs less product. I just use a leave in and a twist cream for my twists and use a refresher spray for my scalp and ends and my hair is happy.

    I have had the same routine since I big chopped in 2017. My hair is growing and I am retaining length but it really started to flourish when I began professional trims. I deep condition every single week.. Except when I have braids but I don't do that often. I use Amla, clays and other masks. Not as regularly as I need to, but I do it. I started taking vitamins and drinking more water and that has really helped. I do wash and go and twists and that's pretty much it.

      What do you do prior to using the gel? Do you use a leave-in or a moisturizer? Also what styles do you usually do?

      @@kianamieldon3638 I normally leave my hair in twist. When I want to define my curls I make sure that my hair is soaking wet then I rake through with the argan oil eco styler. I never used a leave-in before.
      Btw I have type 4 hair

      @@theonlyvibez1 I’m also type 4, and when I used to define my curls with gel for a wash and go I ALWAYS used leave-in (per suggestions) and my curls lasted longer. You could try that, it may work! For twist outs tho, I always start on damp hair, just for reference

    Great video! Am I to understand that you use a clay wash every wash day?

    • @SheReaDelSol
      @SheReaDelSol  3 роки тому +1

      Not every wash day because sometimes I use shampoo and other times I’m reviewing products but on an ideal wash day, yes or i’ll prepoo with a clay
