What is a prepooing or what is a prepoo? A prepoo is a treatment applied to your hair before the actual cleansing process. It not only protects the hair from the stripping effects of shampoo, but it detangles dry and tangled hair before further manipulation of your hair strands. I’ve tried not prepooing and just going to the shower and I lose SO MUCH MORE HAIR it’s insane!! If I’m short on time and don’t have time to make a diy, I mix Aussie conditioner and water in a spray bottle and detangle in sections. If my hair is feeling weak I’ll prepoo with coconut oil the night before and let it marinate overnight 😊

I keep telling people 🤷🏾♀️ prepoo is not an ‘extra step’ for everyone. For me it’s about time. It’s not that I *can’t* go sectionless or without prepoo. Slippery conditioners and oils on wet shrunken hair after shampooing doesn’t help me detangle. But a prepoo? My whole head is done in 20 minutes. Don’t sound like ‘extra’ to me.

I’ve returned to prepping about 3/3 months ago. The last month I’ve been doing it over night. It has made a world of difference! I alternate between an oil mixture and a conditioner.

Ok first of all....your editings skill are on pointttt and secondly i've recently started doing my DIY prepoo's and I am loving the results. I make an aloe and ginger (from the plant of course) jelly with a little oil and that is heavenly. Another one i made was a coconut fat and rice milk with fenugreek powder and oil and that was BOMBBBBB. DIY's are the best

I've been using fenugreek seeds to infuse oil and use as a prepoo. I also soak the seeds in water and use the water as a conditioning treatment. My DIY mask is soaked seeds in water or aloe juice then I blend them into a paste. Put it on as a mask. My hair has flourished!

When I Clay wash I like to prepoo with aloe vera juice & oil. It also allows me to finger detangle my hair b4 shampoo. Nature's Secret Prepoo I like to use sometimes as well but only when I do a regular shampoo(moisture or clarifying)

You know I thought I was finally getting serious and giving my hair what she needs. I do however prepoo biweekly when I wash and destroy ssk's whenever I moisturize or touch my hair. I'm thinking because it's sooo dry with no rain in over 200 days in this desert is why. I'm going back to the drawing board and pull the prepared rice water from my cabinet that's been sitting and start over. My hair needs moisture balancing and a steamer.💦 Thank you for all you do I know these diy's takes time and work. 💜
