- バッハの最も偉大で優れたオルガン曲の一つ。フーガのテーマが、主音Eの音を軸に音程が次第に上下に広がっていくことから、『楔（The wedge）』という渾名で呼ばれることがあります。
崇高で巨大な建築物のようなこの作品は、私の師匠鈴木雅明先生の得意とされるレパートリーで、アシスタントとして先生のお隣で聴かせていただいた時は、自分の仕事を忘れ（譜めくりや音色チェンジ）感動で涙が溢れてきた覚えがあります。
バッハへの畏敬の念を改めて抱く作品です。

ものすごい重量感のある演奏ですね！ 砕け散る怒涛でも目の当たりにしているかのようです。その爆発的推進力が本当に美しい。一切の虚飾なく一音一音を空間に貼り付けていくような演奏は、続くフーガでいやおうなく輝きを増していくように感じました……。バッハが何考えてこの曲書いたか知りませんが、普段は馴染みのない「栄光」という概念が地上に降りてきて目の前で爆発したかのような感覚を覚えました。
ちなみに地元のボストンではよく教会にオルガンを聴きに行くのですが、当たり前ですがアメリカ人が大多数……他のパートでは日本人奏者もいるのに、オルガン奏者はいません……ちょっと寂しいです……。
これからも素晴らしい演奏を続けてください。

返信後に失礼します……。あまりにも理想の演奏なのでそれをお伝えしたくて……。このアーティキュレーション というのかグルーヴというのか、適切な表現のほどはよくわかりませんが、この『ガッツンガッツンとぶつかっていく感じ』が、真に硬質な曲の核を引き出しているように思えて……。幾何学的なフーガ主題が始まると身震いすら覚えます。ペダルの重量感、終結部に向けて突き進むエネルギー……個人的にこの曲の兄弟的な位置にあるロ短調はどんな感じになるのか……思わず想像をふくらませてしまいます……。
日本から遠く離れたとかろから、とても嬉しいメッセージ、ありがとうございます。私自身はアメリカでの演奏経験はありませんが、ボストンで勉強された素晴らしいオルガニストを存じ上げています。きっとレベルの高い演奏家が多いのだと思っておりました。
自宅のオルガンで小品をアップすることが多くなるチャンネルとなりますが、できれば色んな楽器で色んなタイプの作品もアップできたらよいなと思っています。またお聴きいただけますと幸いです。ありがとうございました😊

E' una cosa che mi ha incuriosito da sempre, in paesi avanzatissimi tecnologicamente, sentir suonare, e molto bene un pregevole organo meccanico, moderno.
In molti casi, dei presunti restauri o rifacimenti hanno danneggiato quasi irreparabilmente, Italia compresa, pregevolissimi strumenti antichi, molte volte sostituiti perchè ritenuti "vecchi".

A very accomplished player indeed, and an authoritative and convincing performance of this fine work. The organ is able to render the counterpoint with perfect clarity so nothing is lost. It was interesting to savour the strong independent bass line in the Prelude. We don't often get that opportunity. It would be a great pleasure to hear more from this fine musician-and I'm sorry I'm only able to write this comment in English!

In which case I will go on to say that I enjoyed listening again to this Prelude and Fugue, and I can't understand why this performance hasn't had many more viewings. It is certainly one of the finest versions of BWV 548 on UA-cam. I've only just discovered your channel, so I've subscribed and look forward to listening to more of your recordings.
This organ would be well suited to the grand and noble BWV 546, don't you think?

Thanks for sharing, very nice performance! Your articulation is, IMO, very clear, as others have essentially commented, yet, expressive. In other words, the different voices can be heard very distinctly and clearly, and come across as wonderfully independent, but, without there being any "over-disconnectedness" of the notes that can sometimes show up in baroque performances (especially).
(This does seem to be less the case with recordings from recent decades, perhaps being more the case when ideas about baroque music went through certain phases between the 1800s and perhaps the mid-1900s, IIRC.)

There are many interpretations of this work. It is a difficult piece for me, but it is a wonderful piece with deep content.

BWV548はJ.S.Bachのオルガン曲の中で最高峰に立つ曲ではないでしょうか。
旋律の中核を成す低音域を彩るように重ねられる中音～高音域の装飾が限りない壮麗さ、厳粛さと全権を兼ね備えた力を感じます。聴く度に地に足が着いた確かさと旋律の力を深く魂が震える曲です。
演奏するほうも、地に足を着け、心身ともに健やかでないと、この巨大な建築物を作り上げるのは難しいように思います。
と言いましても、やはりこの作品を作ったバッハが素晴らしいわけです☺️

オルガンを始める前、オルガニストが何をしているのか見たくて、コンサートのとき、オルガニストの近くの席を予約して、かぶり付きで見ていました^_^今は映像がさかんなのでその必要はないですね😊

Yes, I have given concerts in Switzerland, Italy, England and France. I have competed in the Schnittger International Competition in Holland and have also played the Alkmaar organ. There are so many wonderful organs in Europe‼️

Non lo metto in dubbio, l'organo cosidetto "italiano" ha proprio la caratteristica che hai descritto e non ha la potenza di certi organi francesi, tedeschi o spagnoli, salvo eccezioni.
I toni sono molto chiari specie nei ripieni.
