Thank you for your kindness and understanding while I navigate this. I have read nearly every comment and message and I will try to get to every one as soon as I have the bandwidth. I did not link my second channel directly but it is here. Do not feel obligated in anyway to subscribe to it :) www.youtube.com/@kaypattersonvlogs
Hi Kay. UA-cam deleted most of my subscriptions, and it was just yesterday that I re-subscribed to you...ironically to see this video. I will say many channel creators (from various content genres) are suffering from exhaustion and/or burnout; the pressure to publish so many videos in such limited time. Then, if you can't keep up with their demands, they demonetize your channel, etc. Please do what's best for you! 🌷 I truly enjoy your content and organizational skills! You're very real, down to earth and bring a positive, fun energy. Of course, Clover is also adorable to see as well. 😊🐶 Wishing the very best to you in whatever you decide, whatever path you choose. 🙏🏻💜
Hi, I normally am not a big UA-cam commenter. I’m also probably the furthest from the core audience of your content (single, male, farmer), but I owe it to you to comment here. Thank you for your videos. They helped me organize, but more importantly they got me through rough times. Your content shows that at your core you’re a kind, authentic person. I started watching because I was having trouble keeping up my home with my adhd., but since then, your channel has become comfort watching for me. I’ve loved seeing your music career progress, even though I know nothing about opera. I’ve loved watching clover become a distinguished older gentleman throughout the years. Life is far too short to spend time on things that make you unhappy. If the organization videos end, so be it, my subscription was never about the organization, it was about you. Create the content you love. I will be there
I so resonate with your comment. Came for the organizing, stayed for Kay. I have learned so much from you Kay that continues to benefit and beautify my home - command hooks for my silpats and small bins in my medicine cabinet - Hello! 😊 I’m so happy to continue to get to know you and watch (sometimes in person 😊) your music career. I am so grateful for your authenticity Kay. ❤❤❤
You sound like you’re either burned out and need a well-deserved break (800+ videos!!) OR you need a change/pivot to topics that you’re excited to share. Take the time you need! Feeding the algorithm is exhausting. In the meantime, thank you for helping us get our ish together. You’re the one who inspired me for my own home organization journey. For that, I’ll always be grateful to you 💐. Huge hugs to you and Clover James.
I have retyped this response so many times 😂 I’ll keep it simple I follow a lot of creators that have moved away from the scheduled postings and I still love their content. We will be here when you get back. We hope to see you soon ❤
Listen, do what you have to do, just know I'll still be subscribed because you introduced me to stasher bags, taught me I could save money by using a shoe box for storage instead of buying acrylic organizers, and always reminded me to purge items every season to avoid overwhelming clutter. My favorite content is always your kitchen solutions because I have a tiny NYC galley kitchen and can always use at least one of your tips to make the space easier to cook in. THANK YOU. Bless! xoxo
What do I show up for? You, Kay Patterson💕 Whether you are in organizing mode or singing/rehearsing, cleaning, cooking, walking Clover---it doesn't matter! It's your authenticity, intelligence, vulnerability, personality... etc that keep me watching; for that matter, I would watch you watching paint dry (on either channel). Please keep sharing your life/your self with us, Kay, as best you can❤But, first and foremost: follow your passion, sharing your beatiful voice, making beautiful music💕💕💕
💯 to all of this - I'm hardly on UA-cam these days as life has gotten very busy but popped on and immediately thought "What's Kay been up to? Let me check out her channel and catch up on some videos" ( particularly as I'm trying to get my winter wardrobe set up right) So to see this most recent video is sad because so many of us consider Kay a (long distant in my case) friend so to see her struggling is not cool & as so many have said on here..take your time & come back when you're ready too as we will be here ❤
Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing this video. I rarely use UA-cam as a signed in user because there's just too many steps of authentication. I suspect there are other Luddites / not tech savvy folks like me out there watching content w/o logging in... All that is to say: I've just recently "discovered" your home organizing channel and I LOVE IT!!!!! I am finally ready to tackle the decluttering / home organizing, and your channel has been an invaluable tool. (Been binge watching for over a week now! Late to the party, but better late than never, right?) I'm happy to explain how and why your channel has helped me but I really want to hit home on the invisible viewer point... There have got to be other GenXers and similarly aged peeps who hate the votriol and vapidness of the internet world. A place where what you look like matters more than what you do and know. Social media and the like focus so much more on form than content that I have chosen to not participate. And - there's simply too much meanness and downright hatefulness. It's so bad - the toxicity - that I feel like I'm a teenager walking the gauntlet through my HS cafeteria again. UGH. That was traumatic 30 yrs ago, so why would I want to relive it again? Hahaha. But yea, the toxic wasteland of internet spaces is why I and I suspect others like me may watch from afar. Anonymously. Not signed in and certainly not commenting or engaging. After watching this video I decided to log in and write a comment to thank you and tell you how much your videos have been helping me. But mainly I want to say there are people like me who don't navigate the internet well, who don't subscribe or comment, but who still find your work transformative. After watching the video I understand that folks like me need to like and subscribe, to help the channel. To engage too. Because I'm getting it now: that these analytics and metrics are how you gauge success. That's obvs not the whole point of your video - you're experiencing a seismic sea change and recalibrating. I just wanted to let you know there were / are anonymous watchers benefitting from your work. In light of all that, I hope you keep listening to and developing that inner voice telling you where to go next. And I hope whatever video you make / share next ignites the same joy and passion inside you as singing does. Oh - what has made me keep coming back and binge watching? LOL. 1. Your spirit. 2. Seeing someone like me - a 40 something Black femme artist who's also nerdy / smart is soooo inspiring and affirming. 3. PRACTICAL TIPS omggg so many videos I found in the search for home functionality had me frustrated. With how cute but impractical they are. Your pragmatic approach is priceless. 4. Your sense of humor, honesty and realness are everything. 5. Meeting me where I'm at, talking about patience and forgiveness in the process, showing grace - these things have helped me to forgive myself in this process. To stop beating myself up, and to show myself kindness and love on this journey of paring down. I read the OG Marie Kando book in 2016 and while I used it to begin the journey, it only got me so far. Almost 10 yrs later as I begin again, that style wasn't working for me. I moved closer to my parents to help care take my father and my Mom and I are also decluttering her spaces. I needed a better model to take on these massive projects of life long "collecting", across generations, and your videos have been IT. Idk how long a comment should be? This is my inaugural UA-cam comment. Sorry if it's too long. But thanks again for the channel. I see you, I love you, and will support your next UA-cam endeavor, whatever form it takes. Cuz you're amazing!
You are still inspiring us. I FINALLY organized my lower kitchen cabinets this weekend, which have been neglected in the 8 years since we moved into our house. There was never time and I never felt like I could really make it work. Seeing you over the years inspired me and provided ideas for HOW I could make it happen and WORK for my changing family. In the years we've been in our very tiny (950 sq ft) house, my children have graduated high school, moved out, gone to college, moved back, I've gone back to school, and we're all adjusting to different seasons of life. I felt like I had a few hours to really get after it, and I took all your advice (including that it doesn't have to look perfect -- which is really hard for me NOT to aspire to) and applied it and I am VERY happy with the results. I can tell that your joy has decreased over time with this channel, so, even if you decide not to continue (which I hope you won't), please KNOW that you have and are still making a positive difference in the lives of others -- not just entertained -- HELPED/IMPROVED/PROVIDED RELIEF and we love you for it. In the end, "You get what you get," and everyone needs to be okay with that. This is YOUR journey and we're fortunate to have years of YOU to benefit from. THANK YOU and God bless you Kay Patterson!!!!
You unknowingly became a friend to me during Covid. We had just moved to a new house, had to postpone our wedding, and was isolated socially out on a farm. I’ve stayed because of your kind heart and relatable, down to earth advice. I enjoyed your shop-with-me video at TCS recently, as well as watching your small space organization videos. I’ve never been inside a Container Store, but watching your passion for Elfa was so entertaining and informative. I redid our shoe system recently and remembered you saying flat shelves or nothing because slatted doesn’t work. I cried with you when you talked about your dad. I’m so close with mine and he’s my biggest fan. I’m sending you a hug, and want to tell you how brave you are to show up in so many different ways. I hope the universe brings you all the happiness. Take care of you. We’ll be here. ❤
Thank you for your honesty, I love to watch your cleaning/ organizational videos, you being plant and Clover’s mom. The music in the background is always joyful and also your voice the way you talked it gave me peaceful vibes. Hope you miss your audience too and be back. If you decided not too, no hard feelings I wish you the best in life. ❤
I see your organizing style as normal and human, it's achievable and sensible. Many organizers are either extreme or lean into You Have to Buy This Thing!! Your recommendations come from your personal experience and I never get the sense that you think less of someone who can't afford Elfa shelves, etc. Good luck with your concerts!
I rarely comment but feel compelled. Thank you for the vulnerability and realness - I can only imagine it's so hard to be a content creator. I found you early in the pandemic and have watched every video you've posted since. Sometimes I have to click off part way through when I'm watching but I always come back to finish, not sure if the analytics show that part. I watch anything that pops up foremost because of you. I find your authenticity refreshing, and of course your organizing skills are top tier. I love that you share the other facets of your life, like being a professional singer, dog & plant mom, and avid gamer. I really appreciate that you keep it real Kay. It's heartbreaking to know you get trolled like that and this has lost its joy. You did ask what we like best: plant tours, organizing maintenance, decorating tours and food storage organization. As someone who cooks almost exclusively from scratch at home, I feel like it's a constant battle to keep my deep freezer, pantry and fridge organized. It's an ever evolving thing and I still haven't nailed it. Interestingly, I used to have the exact same side of staircase storage as you do when I lived back east - I absolutely LOVED it (and no, nothing ever fell off my shelves either lol). Now I have to deal with cans in cabinets or drawers and just can't quite figure out the best way. Thanks for sharing your journey Kay, and for the link to your personal channel. I've loved the Vlogtober content in the past and look forward to keeping up with you over there. Wishing you as much peace and clarity as possible.
i like seeing how you are actually functioning in your space as a grown woman/ half of a couple that has a pet and uses their space in a real way. you're not making messes just to film cleaning, and you're not specifically organizing things without figuring it out for yourself also, which i like. I'LL MISS YOU DURING YOUR BREAK!!! i hope to see you on the gaming channel, love you!
I've watched this video 2x. I love the message & it resonates with with- something about losing people so close to you, can be a wake up call about how you're living your life. And also the "perfectionism" of all the things. Just posted on my (other) channel for the first time in 2yrs & "just did it" no editing, thumbnail, etc. and it felt good! Anyway, I love these "sit downs" on this channel (theyre great to listen to while doing things sround the house), especially when you added your organizer perspective on the things you see the internet (ie: pantries, closets, bathroom & kitchen organizing). I also love when you do your seasonal resets (bc northeastern weather can be so tempermental! Like are we in fall or summer? It's almost November and they're forcasting 80 degrees). Anyway, love ya Kay & cant forget Mr. Clover Bean❤️
The reason I have loved this channel (and your namesake channel, too) has been in part for the planned content - the organizing, the solutions, watching how you handled moves and reimagining spaces - but more than that I have watched because you have been such good company along the way. There are plenty of people making content in these areas, but you have such a lovely presence and gentleness in the way you describe your approach to these topics that it has made me more confident in thinking about how I might do similar things. Your videos helped me as I got an elderly relative set up in a new apartment, cleared out and decluttered a house, made spaces work better while I was living in them, and then got a house ready to show/sell. Your willingness to share your home, your beautiful Clover, your journey back into song, as well as the loss of your dad have been great gifts as I've been going through various transitions and challenges. It makes me so sad to think that anyone would take the time to write hurtful things in relation to any of your videos, particularly when you have been so positive and encouraging of others showing themselves grace. Whatever decision you make about this channel, you deserve to feel the joy of creating and of being your best self through your offerings, here and in all you do.
You have a lot to offer. Found you during the pandemic, and your videos helped me to help myself start decluttering my space and organize my life. We are all works in progress and need a break from the craziness of life. You are doing a amazing job with your content. I personally rarely like a video or leave comments but I'm trying to be better at this.
I don't know what to call the videos I like best, but they are like "cozy videos": set the Christmas tree up with me, arrange my staircase pantry with me, reset my home with me. I watch your videos as a "body doubling" technique to keep me motivated in my work. You seem so nice and I love the sound of your voice and your humor and your decorating style and CLOVER! And that you are a professional singer is just so cool. I'm also really sorry if I've been messing up your time analytics. I'm a very irregular watcher. Sometimes I start watching a video and I'm like "this is too interesting to watch right now." I save it for later and intend to come back, but I don't know if that messes up your times. Especially if I forget to come back later.... I cannot imagine making 3 videos a week for a long period of time. Another "slow living" creator I watch publishes a video between 4 and 6 times a year. In all ways, it is your channel and your life! I'm grateful for the time that I "knew" you and I hope you have a wonderful life!
OG Subscriber here… and will always be here for you and your content, wherever, whenever… you know that! Your Vlogmas videos got me through my first Christmas and every Christmas since my separation/divorce. And your Clover Bean videos always warm my heart especially when my beloved pup passed. Honestly your Vlog style videos have always been my favs, they’re more personal, more you. Sounds like you’ve reached a fork in the road and that’s okay. Take the road less traveled and follow your heart. Life is short. I’ve lost both of my parents to cancer and both were under 65. I know that click when you loose someone you love and the earth shifts. Go live your life and unapologetically be the fabulous Kay that you are meant to be. Those you truly love you will be here for the “juice”. Sending you virtual hugs, always on ‘Team Kay’! 💗 Your #1 Fan!
God sent you with this video, I hear you I understand your feelings, my mom passed with dementia this year and now my UA-cam Channel is Slowly growing only because I want to just make fun happy videos about traveling, cooking just doing life I want people to laugh and smile and I just don't know if UA-cam is the road I need to be on anymore. May God bless you and may you find the peace and happiness you seek.
When I was a nanny I would put on your videos on our walks and it was such a soothing addition to our walks! But even on lazy Saturdays at home I would put on your videos and loved your humor, personality, and how you present your videos! Whatever you choose to do you moving forward, you will always have a supporter in me! ❤️
I love your sweet voice and your genuine heart to help those of us who have average homes and budgets take care of our spaces a little easier. Watching you is like sitting down with a friend, sometimes a little constructive criticism and often a gentle nudging to improve the place I spend so much of my life. Your ideas have made my home happier, healthier, and richer. Not just $ but in time and energy saved. I appreciate you. ❤
Recent sub and avid watcher here. I don’t know you well and haven’t been with you through all of the iterations of your channel, but let me tell you what I see: A caring, sweet spirit that genuinely wants to help those around her. Someone who isn’t trying to knock us over the head with an overly stylized aesthetic or 101 items haul from Dollar Tree or Amazon. Someone who is kindhearted, sweet, soft spoken and just a wonderful human. I know you’re tired. I feel your exhaustion under the current of grasping for answers. I truly hope you’re grieving the loss of your father properly and are happy to hear that you’re taking back your life in this way. As others have stated, whether this is a pause or an ending, know that the lives you’ve touched for as long as you’ve invited the Internet into your space, will never be forgotten. I pray the Lord’s peace over your mind and heart. I pray the Holy Spirit uplifts you and you find rest and I pray that whatever decision you make will be right for you and your mental health. Thank you for just being a soothing voice in my ear while I deal with my work day. I wish you more success on or off the Tube 😊!
Hello, and thank you for this video. Before I say what I love about your channel, I think it’s important that you know how I use UA-cam. I love learning! So, I primarily use YT to learn new things. I watch a lot of historical or “how to” content. I am a professional musician myself, and also a black person, so I love those things about you and how they intersect with your “how to” content. It’s really important to me to get to learn from someone who looks like me, especially since so many things I’m interested in are dominated by people of other identities. I really like how professional your channel is. What I mean by that is how well you edit your content and the QUALITY of video lighting, editing, etc. I really love seeing you reorganize parts of your home, because it reminds me that staying organized is a constant mindset. I swear a lot so language wouldn’t bother me. In general, I love getting to learn from someone who is passionate about organizing, looks like me, and has other nerd things about them! Thank you for making all the content you do, and I hope you will come back. I know that it is difficult to wade through all the vitriol and obsess about the analytics. If this is the last video you make, I’ll keep going back to the ones you’ve made. I frequently go back to videos to remind myself of things you’ve said (recently went back to the bathroom one to find that Shark steamer dude, even though I have yet to open it).
I love your channel and content. I think I’ve been a subscriber for 6 years. Your positivity, sense of humor, and down-to-earth personality make your videos a pleasure. And Clover is an added bonus. 😊 Take care of you and the time you need. I’m not going anywhere. Hugs Kay. ❤️
Hello. I’m not sure if I’ve ever commented. I just mentioned your channel to a coworker. She’s a singer in Chicago. I agree. It would be difficult for me to read negativity too. Ppl have become brave “in the cloud”. I haven’t been spending much time on UA-cam lately. I like the Boston and singing content. I also love seeing clover and product reviews. I also liked the fridge videos and the science behind it. Oh, and the Christmas decor videos. Your honesty on this video has probably helped more people than you know. Many of us are struggling. Please hang in there. There’s a niche for everyone.
To add further what I liked on your channel; the chats, the closet organisations, the kitchen and fridge organise videos. When you bring Yves in on projects. your supervisor Clover. Im gone when he walks into the room or when hes at the park.... and yet I am a cat lover. And vlogs vlogs vlos definitely love; watching you progress with confidence as a Soprano finally. Super! You give a lot of yourself in all these projects and once again, I thank you. ❤
GOD bless you for making a decision to take care of you. I wish you continued blessings. WHEN and IF you decide to return to videotaping…we will be here. Sending g hugs, prayers and best wishes. Again, congratulations for taking care of YOU,🙏🏽🥰. I absolutely love those glasses. They look great on you.
Kay, as an UN-organized soprano, your title intrigues me. You do you! If a video is fun for you, go for it! Otherwise, don’t stress yourself about it. Something else will be more worth spending time developing. Honestly, the videos that appeal most to me are 15-20 minutes long and the presenter is authentic. In the meantime, I will check out your personal UA-cam channel. All the best to you!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I first found you through this channel several years ago when UA-cam suggested it because I was watching/searching organizing videos and Cavalier videos. This channel immediately became my #1 favorite channel and the first one I will choose to click on. I enjoy how real yet kind you are with organizing spaces and sharing your thought process has been very helpful. I also enjoy seeing you redo spaces or touch them up because that is real life when we continue to bring things in and live in our homes. You get that. I like seeing your personality come through, you are a joy and so relatable. I have enjoyed learning from you about different organizing products out there and solutions. Just recently you changed my life when you showed your wrist towels! Life long annoyance now solved!! Thank you! I love how your face always lights up when Clover walks in the room. 🥰 I enjoy seeing you shine here and on your other channels and in life. Please take all the time you need to decide how, or if, to proceed with this channel. Life is short. Do whatever feels right for you and the right people will be there! I’m not going anywhere and in the meantime, I’ll see you on your other channels! Sending love and hugs.🩷
It seems like hate comments start showing up when the creators are really taking off. If you pay attention, even the most successful celebrities experience this. It's hard not to take it personally but the people doing this are really troubled. I would ignore them all. Focus instead on the majority of the people who love your content. I don't think a creator has to stick with one topic. I enjoy seeing you cook, clean, care for your dog and of course organizing too. I enjoy hearing about your singing performances too. The thing I probably enjoy the most is when you talk about deep things - like you did here about your dad. I lost my dad around the same time as you and somehow talking about your dad made me remember things about mine. I hope you come back soon.
I’ll stay subscribed as long as your channel exists. I have found that you motivate me to tackle areas in my house that I want to improve, give me ideas I never would have thought up myself, and inspire me to be creative with areas I’d put on the back burner (the light box windows in the basement-brilliant!). I like your personality and you come across as a very real person, like I’m watching a friend. I do hope that you’ll be back, but hearing you talk about what’s been going through your mind, I get it, I understand, and I’m supportive in however you choose to move forward. Virtual hugs to you and snuggles to Clover ❤
Take care of yourself. I love YT videos, but it is a weird environment. I've seen the kinds of comments you mentioned - whether from a serial troll that spams so many creators' comments sections that I wonder whether it's a bot or the most bored, no-life person on earth, or from weird people that think creators owe them exactly what they want and only what they want. A month or two ago I saw a bunch of people get upset that a certain creator got pregnant, assumed she'd turn mommy blogger, and then gloat about how so many people were unsubbing. Weird. It's precisely those sorts of things that keeps a lot of us from becoming YTers ourselves and it's why we understand. I know some creators don't even read the comments. I think the Welsh twins only respond in the 1st hour after a video goes up. When you come back, feel free to create whatever boundaries you need to. I've also heard similar videos from so many creators I love. I still sub and watch their content when they feel like posting. Maybe I click on certain videos quicker than others because the thumbnail resonates with whatever I'm feeling at the moment, but I still like to watch their videos when I'm back in that mood. I love you, your channel, and I wish you all the best in whatever you decide to do.
We love you, Kay! I appreciate you being vulnerable with us and sharing so many parts of your life. I’ve loved watching your organizing videos, apartment organizing videos, Vlogmasses/Vlogtobet blogs, and all your ACNH and video game streams. Your content has brought me so much peace. ❤
Kay, Take your time to explore and figure out what sparks joy for you. My favorite videos are decluttering and your ideas of organization. It sparks such joy for me. ❤❤❤❤. But whatever you do …make you have the joy you have that performing makes you happy!
Kay- be well and rest. I’ve loved watching your videos. I’ve learned so much from you and I’ll continue watching your library. Lifting you up and hoping you will feel refreshed.
I love your content and personality, but sometimes breaks or life changes are needed. A new door may open for you. God bless you and Clover and thanks for all the work you've shared.
Love all your content! But my personal favorites are Clover content and organizing content. I just wanted to say your one of my favorite content creators ❤
I love your content 🥺 I grew up singing in church and dreamed of singing, but my family and community were never creative and I didn't know what opportunities could be out there. I was never taught that you can make money singing. I didn't know there was a world where I could have pursued singing and honed my craft and been part of something. I love hearing your music journey - it inspires me and makes me happy and hopeful. I can imagine myself singing again because of you. Actually, I'm on a personal well-being journey in general, where I'm trying to imagine myself doing whatever the hell I want - and you are a huge part of encouraging me through that! I love that you love gaming and organizing and singing, because I love those things too and it feels so wonderful to feel seen and connected with other people through the things we love. I'm 25 and have struggled with depression for as long as I can remember, and your content makes me hopeful that I can live a rich and fulfilling life. It doesn't matter when I do things. I just need to be me. You help me remember all of this whenever you show up as yourself. There is literally not another creator who is as unique or interesting as you are. I'm sorry the numbers aren't what you hope for, and that strangers show up in your comments to take out their problems on you. I know I'm just one person but you are so special in this space. No one does what you do! Truly! I'm always looking for more people to subscribe to and it's really hard to find creators who are like you. I admire that you're trying to do what feels right for you - I struggle to do that for myself, and I feel less alone hearing your story. Take all the time you need. You're the coolest. Sending you good energy and warmth ❤
sending you Love, I feel your heart through your videos and I truly love your energy. I am sorry you are struggling with things right now and I hope you take all the time you need and know we will be here waiting for whenever, if you do come back/ my favorite content you make is usually you organizing and just talking casually to us bc your kind Soul shines through
Hi! I love your content especially the "spill the tea" kind of content and your organization videos. My favorite one was the luxury organization products and when I need a lift, I'll watch that one for all of the snark. I absolutely love it! Thanks for doing what you do and I hope you come back soon.
Oh my gosh, hearing you talk about your dad reminds me SO much of what's going on with my dad right now. My 90-year old daddy was a Sargent in the Marines, always stayed super fit, took classes at the local colleges, was a really fun and skilled story-teller, and now I'm seeing dimentia steal him away. I've always said (to my girls) that you're my sister from another mister. These moments in life are so difficult, but seeing you pull through has given me and others such strength for our own struggles. Seeing you dive into just being you has been SO refreshing and so much fun. While I love and appreciate your organizing (truly), I love me some straight up Kay Patterson.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We all have times when we question or feel unsure. Your sincerity shows how genuine a person and content creator you are. Do not let discouragement set in. It’s great that you have ideas for future content. When you decide it is time to post again, it sounds like you have plenty of ideas to consider.
Kay!! I appreciate your kindness of just willingness to share all of this 🥰 I remember finding your gaming channel autumn of 2020 and it felt like a realization of ‘oh my goodness I love her aura, this person just makes me smile, I love her so much!’ Being able to hang out on your multiple channels throughout the years, oh my goodness I feel lucky. Thank you for putting your content out there, most of my house is organized because you inspired me and I tend to think of your channels like gold mines because it’s not just about the recent upload, it’s years of comforting, fun, and inspiring content! Just thinking about it makes me grateful! 💛🎉 Literally your ability to be honest and open means so much; I want you to be happy, and so many others I know too do, please please take the journey you need to go on to be your happiest most fulfilled self! These little reevaluations can really change a persons course so here’s to living the coolest and happiest lives we can imagine, we can achieve it 🙏🏻
UA-cam analytics and looking at all that stuff can really send you down a black hole. I feel like the climate of YT has changed. I watch a lot of ACNH videos 😂, love organization (but I don’t click on organization videos as often). I think what’s missing here is the X in the equation, which is your viewers. You can’t control what your viewers are going to do. There are times when I’m totally into a video but I get interrupted and I never get back to the video. I probably give UA-cam about 30 minutes total of my time, unless it’s a podcast I can listen to while I task. The amount in my sub feed is overwhelming and I have to choose. I think it’s good to step away for a bit, but ultimately I would say people return for you. Not based on how pretty your thumbnail is etc. good luck on your concerts this week!
Hey, you didn't give up with singing ... you changed your 'thought' about how to proceed and you threw yourself into it, asking for help, learning ... just like your dad!! So, please don't give up! Approach UA-cam like you did your love of music; video what you enjoy; ... as you shared, you were the most passionate when you videoed what you yourself enjoyed! That is what shines and comes through to us, your viewers! I don't cook, organize, scour my apartment but I enjoy watching you! You seemed to be having fun, you giggled lots (love it) and you are so whimsi ... just enjoy and have fun if you still like creating and being creative ... I watch you because I like you :) your Canadian friend xo bonnie
I love your channel and your content. I'm very much behind on Vlogtober, but I'll catch up! I just had to stop everything I was doing to see what was up and show my support.
I'm sure I stumbled onto your channel several years ago because I like organizing things in the home. I do find your organizing advice inspiring but I also like your....how do I say.... your spirit, the way you communicate. :) What you say about comparing your passion for your singing vs this channel sounds like wisdom and I wish you well! (I just found your personal channel and am subscribed!)
Sweet Kay. Thank you for being so honest with us. We don’t realize until we lose our parents. What an impact they have on us sometimes. And how difficult it is to lose them. I am 72 and I still think about my parents every single day. Losing them also makes us realize our mortality more than ever and helps us to reevaluate our goals and our life. You are very brave to be strong enough to make the changes that you need. I love your channel. I had to do a lot of downsizing and organizing after I became an empty nester and your videos really were so informative and helpful and encouraging. I will still watch them when I need motivation. It has been a difficult journey for me to become an empty nester and get rid of so many oflife’s memories. And your videos helped me a lot when it came to organizing and downsizing. I find your voice very soothing. I also really enjoyed that you are a musician in the Boston area. I am about an hour from there. I have a son that’s Navy classical musician and he has worked very hard to make a career out of what he loved to do. He has performed all over the world. Hasn’t always been easy. But for that reason, I love those parts of your videos. You have a beautiful voice and I hope one day I can see you performing somewhere in Boston. That would be such a treat. ❤
I like the ideas you present as home organization is not easy for me, you are the reason I subscribe because of your personality. And while I have never made marshmallows, I love that video because you showed me how easy it can be. We will be here for you when you return. Take all the time you need.
Kay, I welcome your content that helps and inspires. That said, you have one life to live and time moves so quickly. I think you should follow what fulfils you and dump what doesn't. In twenty years, what will you wish you'd spent more time on? ❤❤❤
It's a powerful thing, to pause and listen to our souls. Follow it, and you will stay in tune with your personal North Star. We believe in you. Thanks for all you've shared with us, and here's to reflection, renewal, and resetting for the next chapter, whatever that may be.
Keep running! I enjoy your channel, your pace and your personality. I am a choral vocalist (many years, though not currently). I am a gamer. I am on the decluttering journey...5 serious years into it. I appreciate you.
Love your channel and content. However you need to enjoy what you are doing and if not don't do it. I hope you are back but be authentic with yourself.
Keep doing what you are doing sis..... Tell all of the haters to kick rocks!!!!!! I love your channel and content. You've helped me with my organization so much and I am truly inspired . Don't let the noise of mall minded people get to you!!!! Keep you head up sis"
Kay! I've loved your channel for ages. You are one of my favorite UA-camrs. I realise this isn't constructive but I like every single thing you do. You have a very charismatic personality and everything you do is fun and engaging to watch. This video is proof of what a great storyteller you are. I originally came for the organization videos and, truth be told, I'm no longer all that interested in the topic, so I understand why you too don't want to limit yourself to these kinds of videos. I would feel heartbroken if you stopped making videos for your personal channel - I love your daily vlogs and I am really looking forward to Vlogmas. I wish you could just make "random" videos about things that you feel passionate about, without there being necessarily a "theme"... but I guess the Algorithm doesn't really allow that... Whatever your decide, please don't leave UA-cam! You're too good at this...
I have always loved all your content. Thank you for being so honest. I hope you do comeback as I learned so much from you . But I do understand if you don’t Most of us love you
Kay, I loved watching your channel because of you. The personality which you allowed us to see was and is so much more authentic than many other YTs. Of course I loved the Clover video, and loved seeing him evwry time that he appeared on the channel. I found many of your organizing tips so helpful, and I even enjoyed watching you clean and organize your home. However, nothing is worth compromising your mental health. So, as much as I will miss you I wish you well. If you choose to return, I will watch your videos again with joy. If you choose not to return, then God Bless You and I wish you well. And always remember that God created each of us, but he didn't create us to be carbon copies of each other. Each of us has special gifts to give to the world. Do you, Kay, and your joy will return.
I love all your videos I came for the organizational content but I stayed because you were relatable. For Instance you did the video about packing and you mentioned that the product wasn't available but you didn't see the need to buy something new just so you can put up an affiliate link( don't think those were your exact words but something to that affect.) you just seemed normal. Maybe you can take the UA-cam skills you've developed and use them in a more creative way. Best wishes
I appreciate your organization videos, but I really love your personal blogs and your music. I love that you've ventured back into something you loved. Do what's good for your head and heart.
I totally appreciate how authentic you are. I prefer the home organization videos. Not sure if I missed hair care videos? Your hair is lovely! Perhaps you can consider sharing hair care tips with, after your sabbatical of course. Enjoy every moment of the reset.
I love you Kay! Every video you post I am so excited for. I totally understand how other people make things so unfun! I feel the same way about comments. Some people are so hateful and nasty that it makes me feel like I dont want to engage with any platform. I am sorry they have been that way to you. You are an inspiration. I am sending you hugs. This channel has been motivational for me. I do hope you find passion for this channel again. ❤❤
I love you so much. This was so heartbreaking because I wanted to give you so many hugs. I love what you said about your dad. You need to reset because doing things that do not fill your cup is not any way to live. I adore everything you do and I’m am not unbiased because I love you. That said, I really enjoy the organization of specific areas that you do. It inspired me to have a more organized space because I felt I could tackle it one area at a time. Closet. Bathroom. Side table by my bed. So on. I realize that is repetitive for you and get it. Whatever you do, I’ll always be here. I love the vlog channel more than you know and the gaming channel is where I found you and where I’m honored to mod for you. Take care of you first and we will benefit from that. Doing what you love is a contagious thing. People love to see passion. Whatever you choose, I know you have incredible support. ♥️♥️♥️
This has been such a fun channel for me! I love how fun your personality is. It really comes through in your videos.. an example that made me laugh recently was you saying "dont put a junk drawer in your kitchen - you don't want that, do you? 😆 if you need one, put a utility drawer in an entryway desk..(something like that). " you're just so down to earth and your organization advice has been so helpful. i also love that you're reflecting enough to make a change and try something new. Good luck to you 💖
I like your personality, your enthusiasm, your style, your authenticity. Personally I like organizational content . Take the time to evaluate what you want to do. Ignore the unhappy people who make negative comments, because they want others to be as miserable as they are. We are here for you. You are an awesome young woman !
You have to do what you have to do for you. We will wait. I love your organizational videos. Always remember haters are always going to hate. Your courage is amazing. ❤❤
Do what’s best for you, Kay. I will watch whatever you post, which I hope you do, at least occasionally. I’ve learned a lot from you and I actually loved your personal vlogging. I appreciate your calm nature and seeing clover. So many thanks and I hope to see you and clover soon. Xx
Take care of yourself and what you decide will be good. We can wait until that time. I do enjoy watching your ideas and videos and I enjoy when you help others. Maybe for viewers could ask for help, as not all closets are the same. You are so gentle with your approach to others. Wish you the best whatever you decide.
❤ Do what brings you joy, inspiration, and peace. You have brought these to me for years thank you, and I pray for your abundance in the same. I hope you find your heart and soul sing in harmony with your beautiful voice. Cheering you on!😊
I usually watch videos that are relevant to me in the moment (mainly tips on organization / decluttering / working with the space I have, etc). Though I also first interacted with your gaming channel, so I may differ from the main chunk of viewers here. I hope your time away is helpful (however long). Glad that you're taking time to evaluate what's serving you and adjusting what isn't. :)
I love watching your videos about decluttering and organizing with little tidbits about your life and Clover. And you even love playing animal crossing too! Watching your videos feels like catching up with an old friend who is knowledgeable about organizing helping me. I hope taking some time away gives you the rest you need and gives you clarity about what you want to do 💕
It's very hard to blend all the parts of one's life in a natural way. I was part of an online community that appreciated all my organizational efforts and work to facilitate, but when other parts of life needed attention, it was very hard to bring the support I had online, into the rest. It hurt my feelings, like you describe, that the community was really only interested in the persona I had for them. It wasn't their fault, just the limitations of life. At some point it was hard to stay interested there, because of the energy it took to compartmentalize. All that to say, I really hope you find a new creative wind. I find you so unique, the only channel of this sort that I follow because of your genuineness and groundedness. I actually work for TCS now, so the last thing I usually want to watch is something work related, but you're an exception. So, you do what you need to!! And thanks for everything so far.
Wishing the very best to you in whatever you decide, whatever path you choose. 🙏🏻💜
@@TheOrganizedSoprano 💕💕💕
WOW I was so unaware of the second channel. I love your organizational videos❤ Be blessed 🙏🏾❤️
I will be there
👍🏻 Well stated! It's really Kay's personality, authenticity and warmth. I too have ADD and your observations are on-point.
😊
I so resonate with your comment. Came for the organizing, stayed for Kay. I have learned so much from you Kay that continues to benefit and beautify my home - command hooks for my silpats and small bins in my medicine cabinet - Hello! 😊 I’m so happy to continue to get to know you and watch (sometimes in person 😊) your music career. I am so grateful for your authenticity Kay. ❤❤❤
👏👏👏👏👏✨❤️🔥✨👏👏👏👏👏
We’ll wait for you, Kay! Take your time. God bless‼️🙏🏽🫶🏼
This right here!
We'll miss you and your mental health is what is most important.
I have retyped this response so many times 😂 I’ll keep it simple
I follow a lot of creators that have moved away from the scheduled postings and I still love their content.
Ditto! Well said! 💜
ditto ditto ditto.
💯 to all of this - I'm hardly on UA-cam these days as life has gotten very busy but popped on and immediately thought "What's Kay been up to? Let me check out her channel and catch up on some videos" ( particularly as I'm trying to get my winter wardrobe set up right)
So to see this most recent video is sad because so many of us consider Kay a (long distant in my case) friend so to see her struggling is not cool & as so many have said on here..take your time & come back when you're ready too as we will be here ❤
Life is chapters of starting, stopping and resting. Now it's time to rest. Rest as long as you need. You'll know.
Late to the party, but better late than never, right?)
I'm happy to explain how and why your channel has helped me but I really want to hit home on the invisible viewer point...
Because I'm getting it now:
that these analytics and metrics are how you gauge success.
Take care of yourself, Kay! We will wait for you.
Some of us are just here to enjoy whatever content you have to share. Take it easy--we'll find you whenever you decide to post again.
You asked what type of videos I liked watching: decluttering, organizing, Clover, your plant care videos, and the clips of you cooking.
I have loved watching you over the years, but it’s more important that you take care of yourself and do what it best for you.
i like seeing how you are actually functioning in your space as a grown woman/ half of a couple that has a pet and uses their space in a real way. you're not making messes just to film cleaning, and you're not specifically organizing things without figuring it out for yourself also, which i like.
Kay, my condolences on the loss of your dad. I'm a sometimes watcher but always appreciate your approach.
I totally understand. My whole life shifted when my Mom passed...😢 I for one , love your content. Best to you ALWAYS.
Take care of yourself, Kay, and do what’s best for you. Your heart will not steer you wrong.
Hugs Kay. ❤️
Sorry you had to deal with the serial trolls. I’m glad you have grown to dismiss them.
Hit that pause button, Kay. Take care of yourself. We’re here 😊
What I like the most about your channel? You! I am rooting for you Kay!
Thank you for being honest, for being vulnerable. You are appreciated more than you know.❤
GOD bless you for making a decision to take care of you.
Sometimes we just need to move in a different direction. Take your time and it will all work out. Thank you.
Love your content and delivery. Will await your return. Blessings to you.
Take time for yourself, if that is what you need. I definitely enjoyed what I have seen. God bless your heart. ❤️
Well, we love and generally care for you and Clover. Take your time. Let your decision be your decision without pressure. Giiirl, have fun! ❤❤❤❤❤⚘️😊🙏
sending you Love, I feel your heart through your videos and I truly love your energy.
Take your time. Have a rest. Come back when you are ready.
Love you Kay 🩷🩷
I’m so sorry about your dad ❤
that is some badassery, KP! take care of yourself, celebrate your father and go SING ALL THE THINGS! ❤❤❤
Literally your ability to be honest and open means so much; I want you to be happy, and so many others I know too do, please please take the journey you need to go on to be your happiest most fulfilled self!
I just had to stop everything I was doing to see what was up and show my support.
block the complainers-
so many of us love you 🩵🩵
I'm sure I stumbled onto your channel several years ago because I like organizing things in the home. I do find your organizing advice inspiring but I also like your....how do I say.... your spirit, the way you communicate. :) What you say about comparing your passion for your singing vs this channel sounds like wisdom and I wish you well! (I just found your personal channel and am subscribed!)
Strongly agree about Kay’s spirit and communication style. Very true
I like u... how calm u r. Realistic... i will b rewatching ur videos
I watch your videos all the time. We all need to take a break and reorganize. Take your time. I'll be here.
Honestly, I like your content here but I’ve come back because I like you and who you are! Take care of yourself!
👍🏾you do you.
I have always loved all your content. Thank you for being so honest. I hope you do comeback as I learned so much from you .
But I do understand if you don’t
Most of us love you
Kayyyy
Thank you for your authenticity and strength! Your channel is wonderful and I've enjoyed being along for the journey. Be happy.
Sending you so much love, Kay Your story about music and how passionate it made you feel doing it really resonated with me
I love all your videos I came for the organizational content but I stayed because you were relatable.
I have enjoyed your content and will stay subscribed. Take care of yourself. ❤
I’m so sorry you’re stepping away, but so glad you are taking care of yourself.
