Braw upload, Kevin, and full of past reminiscences and present reality. My Son - Robbie - and I walked these hills on a sojourn with the Dumfries Gas Board Social Club, circa 1988 (when Robbie was 12 years old), a few months before the Lockerbie Disaster. I have already explained my involvement with the aforementioned - Rest in Peace. However ... Last year, Robbie and his Wife, L-A, decanted from Bathgate to Wanlockhead. Apart from the recent power outages, they are able to work from home, and/or transport themselves to the Central Belt to their respective employment headquarters when required. Robbie is a Senior Computer Systems Engineer, and works in many parts of our Western World, and I am very proud of him. Thank you for reading so far, Kevin. Robbie is in his element in 'the Wilds', as his Auld Faither was at Rannoch Station, early to mid-1960s. In essence: Serendipity and heartfelt thanks. Stay free. I remain, Rab 🍻 😎 🎲 🌠 💚 [Green Heart}
Its a small world , leadhills and wanlockhead was a location my parents used to take us when we were small for a picnic , the area is steeped in industrial heritage , spent 30 minutes talking to elderly gent from the village who gave me a crash course in mining , very knowledgeable chap , think i will have to return for prt two , only scratched the surface , literally , till the next one Kevin 🥾😊⛺️
@@RavenAboutScotland Strangely, when I received you response (for which I fully understand and thank you for), I was/am soon to resume watching 'The Enemy Within: The Radical Rising of 1820' - UA-cam; I won't waste time by typing the link ... The synopsis is thus: 'The 1820 Radical Rising ended with the beheading of [weavers] John Baird and Andrew Hardie on 8 September [1820] in Broad Street, Stirling. Scottish democracy was born in that bloodbath.' No wild camping here I am afraid, K, but perhaps you may work it into a future welcome upload. To you and yours, I remain, Rab 🎲 🌠
