- This Is Happening - HermitCraft Vault Hunters - E01 - It's been a long long long time since HermitCraft got together to play a modded minecraft series! It's long over due! Today most of us are checking out Vault Hunters (created by iskall) for the first time and just having fun! We'll jump into our very first vault and chaos ensues! :D

Hermits back to playing finite goal modded, again! Normality is returning to the world!
Skompasses will help navigate returning from the vaults. Mass storage of ALL the things is needed for powering vault crystals….think hundreds and thousands in quantities. It starts slow, but ramps up pretty quickly. Collect and farm all the things. Some modded animal farms and collection jars will help.

As a seasoned vault hunter, I would advise unlocking the vault compass ASAP. It's one of the most low key useful things in the game, and you pretty much never have to worry about getting lost in a vault again since it always points to the exit. So much easier than placing reference pillars everywhere.
I do both. I also lock the minimap rotation so that it always points North to help with staying oriented

Hypnooooo! I'm so happy you are a part of this Hermitpack!! It has been way too long since the last modded Hermitpack season and I've been craving watching all the hermits playing VH together. I think you asked a few weeks-months ago what modpack people would like you to take on next and I wholeheartedly screamed VH seemingly into the void lol
Alas it was not to be. But instead of solo we're getting a Hermit VHsmp and yeah, I'll say that was worth the wait.
Looks like you found a castle base to settle in for now. Can't wait for the next episode! Do you think you might stream some VH, possibly?
Just remember the Aussies went to war against the Emus and loss. Be very careful around them

I've been playing Vault Hunters for months with friends and we've super been hoping to see more of the Hermits trying out the pack, potentially as a larger group, but, personally, I'd always been hoping to see you and xB start running vaults together - so this series has me jazzed beyond belief. I'm super eager to see what you do with both the unlockable mods and the base mechanics of vaulting and building your character - good luck and happy vaulting!

Great choice of baseing location... my buddy and I too setup shop in one of those Keeps in the Omega Villages... great for focusing more on vaulting than vanilla building.
After sayin so much he was not gonna play VH, low and behold here is Hypner playin VH with the Hermits. Look forward to the next episode.
My first base on a new VH world is also the big castles generated in.

How much I have waited for a new modpack series of Hermitcraft!
I suggest picking at least one level of Vein Mining, Dash and Heal.
Those abilities are useful for basically all builds.
From what I saw, toggable abilities are generally not that interesting, unless you have a lot of mana.
