The sound design on these games was fantastic, the radio and tv shows on in the background, low rolling thunder and rain hitting the windows, even the creasing sound of his leather jacket. All really added to the overall atmosphere.
I absolutely love the poetry and foreshadowing of this game. It truly gives you a perspective and leaves wanting to know what he'll say next. You kind of feel like a therapist, listening to your patients problems while he shows how bad it got.

the level of suspence and the overall dark atmosphere of this game...the storm, the rain, the chilling soundtracks, the soothing voice of max, the horrors. the incredible storyline. absolutely one of the most incredible games ever made that untill this day gives me a very weird uneasy feeling playing it

I just love the comic style of Max Payne 2 telling a story of it all I love comic books and I love Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne it's one of my favorite video games and I love comic books even Max Payne 2 one.
The first game my cousin got when he bought a brand new Xbox one summer was Max Payne. Me and my 2 older cousins stayed up all night playing that game. The dark vibe, eerie noir, comic book laden aesthetic with awesome gameplay that had “bullet-time” based on our favorite movie “The Matrix.” God what a combination! I had my dad buy me an Xbox when I came back home at the end of that summer and the first game I got was Max Payne so that I could play it as much as I wanted. These games had as big an impact on my childhood as Mortal Kombat 1 & 2 on SNES, Mortal Kombat Trilogy on PS1, Unreal Tournament on PC and Halo on XBOX.
I really love the comic effects and story strip of this game and this game is more high clear resolution than the first max payne game!! I love this! I love to play this again :)
@@SegaSaturnGamer48 idk why people say its too dark and miserable, thats the thing I like about it, very few people were able to understand its dark and complex story mixed with depression and conspiracy, a perfect neo-noir action game with a tinch of romance

The gameplay is so satisfying in Max Payne. It's much better than the actual Matrix games, whose Bullet Time must've inspired it. I remember trading Enter the Matrix in for Max Payne 2.
