Laughed a little to hard as Andy apologizes for not having a toaster! Great to see how far your channel has come, I started watching you and subscribed before you had a million, and now you're close to 3! Thank you for being a joy to watch and not gimmicky like some others.
It was fun watching Andy staying as calm and collected as usual under pressure. Another enjoyable video and I will be practicing some of those tips! Thanks!
Kia Ora Andy. Loved this. Food is always good but so is the genuineness. Where’s all the plates, burning the butter, always with a laugh and a smile. It gives the confidence to not make cooking too serious and it will all still be fine and perfectly delicious anyway.
Chef is a real one. Not afraid to point or lie about his mistakes, lost in his own kitchen ect ect. Some chefs make everything what they do look perfect but Andy is just a really chill dude
"Under pressure he comes up with the goods!" Nice one mate. It shows a bit of effort, basic skills and imagination is all you need. Eating is life and life doesnt have to be boring!!!
@@andy_cooks that’s so true. Sometimes when I rush I think I’ve stuffed something up but in reality it actually turns out better than when I took my time. Weird!
this was awesome!! im a very competent breakfast cook, and Andy was spot on here. These are all "doable" in 5 minutes, but 5 is a hustle. give yourself 10 minutes and you can basically have full gourmet. Good on ya, chef! For all the home cooks, you can get close to this level with practice!!
I absolutely love cooking for my family... but I must say the stress of difficult recipes makes it almost unbearable. I love the way you get through these dishes with total calm even with speed. An enjoy to watch! Thx.
Nice to see you again Andy, your vast knowledge of recipes Is amazing, and I love the way you Interact with your viewers, so glad I started watching you on you tube, keep being great Andy.
Great vid Andy, loved the energy in the video. I think a good idea you could've had for the huevos was to baste the egg with some oil to make it cook faster, but that could've taken more time to heat up
Just found your channel. LOVING IT, MATE! I love how you delve into the whys and give options in your vids. Would love to see your take on the classic Aussie / NZ family barbeque.
really loved the energy and chaos on this video! More 5 min challenges pls... ok maybe 15 mins? Reminded me a bit of the old "Ready Steady Cook" episodes on BBC which were a lot of fun as well.
Glad to see a video where someone is doing their version of the AI menu, and not using AI recipes. Can’t let it do all the thinking for us! Bravo, Andy Hoping to see Ribena Chorba and Makalo from Ohrid Macedonia one day! 🇲🇰🇲🇰🇲🇰
I've found that a dash of water in the pan when making fried eggs, with a lid on the top for the last 10 seconds or so cooks the egg whites pretty good, gotta be careful otherwise you will make the eggs rubbery if cooked too long
If you want your whites to cook on time, once they're set on the bottom, toss in a little bit of water and throw a pot lid over them. Speeds it up but will give a slight film over the perfect yoks. If you need truly yellow yolks, suffer. 😉
What you're describing is called basted eggs, if I asked for sunny side up and received those I would send them back and think you were an incompetent cook.
@@Metalfacejoel Hence my comments about it being simply a way to speed them up and that if you want truly sunny side, ya just have to tough it out... Or did you miss that part? Of course I wouldn't serve that to someone in a restaurant if they ordered sunny up. I'm talking in your own kitchen.
Great video Andy. I've tried overnight oats a few times with yogurt and all sorts of other things but never liked it. Tried your simple version and it was great!
I have a cutting board with a groove around the edge. It works great for cutting olives, cherry tomatoes, and berries of all kinds. Just roll them in forming a line and run your knives along the groove. 😉
Andy sending you love from across the pond man. Really enjoy your channel, recipes, just watching you cook. Watching you poke a cm thick butterflied sausage for time and declaring “ah she’s good” gave me a proper laugh. Cheers
I am enjoying every video! Thanks for this! I love cooking too! Can you please tell me (or prepare video) what you always have in your fridge? And what you think is a must have in it? Thanks! Cheers from 🇵🇱👩🏻🍳
C'mon! Just poke the uncooked white using a fork or chopsticks, which makes the whites touch the pan and gets cooked! Easiest and best way! Anyways, this small scratches sets the sunny side up perfectly!!!
If you have 30 more seconds to work with, add some spices to your overnight oats. A little freshly ground cardamom and cinnamon elevate it. I also use yogurt with the milk -- adds a perfect little tang.
Andy ur awesome very knowledgeable obviously a true professional at what you do with heart and finesse do what you love love what you do I’m a fan of urs like a cook school text I’m from Hawaii 🤙🏾💯
Try Mexican Migas - scrambled eggs (preferably in a cast iron skillet that has been seasoned for at least 50+ years with onions, colby jack cheese, & sliced corn tortilla strips with your choice amount of a fresh jalapeño pepper. Serve with warmed flour tortillas & garnish with chopped fresh tomatoes, avocados,
I also love the idea of 5 minute recipes. Everyone's baked. Excuse why they can't eat something healthy and fresh is because they don't have time. and then they grab a bowl of cereal or a pop tart... There's even recipes that you could make a headache that could easily be heated up quickly in the morning, like omelet cups in a muffin pan.
Always love your vids and kitchen attitude of fun! But I feel your pain re the Oaxaca cheese!! Melbourne girl, also pandemic moved ‘a little bit’ up the road from you guys, and as totally worth it as it was - some ingredients…Aaahhh!!
First time coming across ur channel and I'm loving it and impressed 😊. I've been binge watching so far and u make everything looks so delicious and simple
I saw a chef cover 3 frying eggs with the glass lid of a smaller frying pan, the egg bottoms crisped and the steam cooked the tops of the whites. The yolks were yummy and runny.
Hey Chef! I’ve never seen a video where someone makes me favourite dish. It’s called Pastel de Choclo! It’s a corn beef, chick dish that Chileans eat on a special occasion. Usually Chilean Independance day
This was an interesting video; I always enjoy watching what you cook. I have a smoothie most mornings; I never timed myself to see how long it takes to put it together. I often make the smoothie the night before and just pull it out of the fridge to eat it the next morning. That saves time on the mornings I have to be ready to leave for work....
You two, must have some great laughs, regarding bloopers during filming. I wondered who Mitch was in the beginning. Good mates, and some great recipes. Thanx.
You can ask it to change the portions of the meal and then change how many to serve. The one I am trying now is for it to find the least waste combination of any given meal.
How many thousands of people are going to complain about metal utensils (a plaster scraper, even worse!) on a nonstick pan?? FFS, stop it! Maximum respect for the vid. While I can easily pull it off myself, I love that you demystify healthy, fast creations. 10 minutes per dish would still be fine, folks!
Man, you have so much varied content. I absolutely love this channel! I know I'll probably never make it down to AUS but id love to know where you got your ink done!
Love your videos. You should checkout cooking tweezers instead of chop sticks. They have better grip and easier to handle. I use them all the time. My favorite use is turning bacon.
You can also use Apple juice or a combination of Apple and pear juice instead of milk or plant based milks. I also liked to use yoghurt in the overnight oats. Grated apple is great... but could take the full 5 mins ;)
Loved and enjoyed this video so much . My Mexican grandmother would use the same hot oil in the pan to sort of baste the egg whites to make them cook faster .( If you get it on the yolk, It'll turn white ) Again , it's a super fun video .
Get some cinnamon & dried ginger & nutmeg up in those oats. Also diced apple for some crunch! 50/50 Almond Milk + Soy Milk goes hard on the liquid side too!
Loved the chaotic energy in this video, was a treat to watch.
Was definitely chaotic but a lot of fun to make. Glad you enjoyed watching it!
Chaos made it realistic, at least for me, I can relate 😂
Little sample of restraunt cooking

Absolutely excited to try these. I've always added milk to my scrambled eggs, so I was excited to see you do too. Thank you for the breakfast ideas!

Magic of UA-cam comment and then saying I always wanted to say that. Hats off you for your own cooking show my friend. Hats off!
Love his humility
Even if viewers don't want to rush the way the time limit causes, this does point that such simple meals can be done in not much over 5 minutes.
