You know the reason why right? It’s 3 fold. 1 the obvious insurance law suits. 2 the insurance claims for stolen merchandise which I guarantee is listed at a higher price than what was actually stolen. 3 they now can raise prices across the board to cover their losses on stolen merchandise that they are already getting covered by the insurance company. The guy's right when he says being homeless is a job. I'm not homeless, but I live in a nice van, and the amount of time and effort it takes to maintain things is a lot! Gathering water, emptying toilet, buying fuel, charging the solar battery, driving to the gym to shower...it's endless. When you pay rent, you're not just paying for a roof and walls, you're paying for infrastructure! Running water, hot water, flushing toilets, gas and electricity at the flip of a switch.
Lived in a Tahoe in Denver, 2018, not an addict, made $18-20 an hour. Studio apartments are expensive, $900 a month. It was a ton of work, driving to the gym, self storage, fast food, freezing temperatures. The city of Broomfield made it illegal to sleep in your car. Tried to sleep in a VA carport and was escorted out by security. The VA doesn't consider you homeless when you have a vehicle to sleep in!
Been in my buses for years and until my recent illness, keeping on top of your living space isn't easy, but we'll worth it. A proper sence of community. 🏴🇬🇧
They receive $915/month plus $300 in food benefits. $1215 in total. That is gone within 2 weeks for their heroin fix. The remaining money they need comes from crime.
Instead you could pay normal taxes, instead of that itty-bitty compared to us in Europe. For those extra taxes, people down on their luck or wounded or ill are getting enough money to make it through and then back to work. Without losing everything. Without needing to numb to pain of losing everything! Americans are beyond dumb. They save 2000 to spend 20000.
My husband and I recently went on vacation and stayed on 16th Street Denver. The hotel was clean and the restaurants were nice. I don't understand why people say it's so horrible.
I appreciate the work you do Nick. I have to mention though Colorado and Washington legalizing marijuana was a massive, long overdue development that drew in many types of people, from folks like these here to PhD students, medical professionals, lawyers, and many others. Nobody winds up homeless because of weed though but some stoners are homeless because of the cost of living. I'm one of them. I work full time and would rather save my money than hemorrhage it on rent. I've been in the workforce 20 years and finished college twice while smoking weed everyday. The problem is housing genuinely fails the cost-benefit analysis. It's gotten so out of control that the only way to be financially responsible is to cut it out of my budget.
Weed is 1000% the gateway drug. Ask every drug user what their first addiction was. No, it won't wreck your life, but I don't think it's benign either.

I remember the last time I went to Denver it was very sadly seemingly almost as chaotic as Seattle. Druggies everywhere, shut down buildings kind of reminding you of Chicago, ambulances rushing by, run down houses looking like the run down houses in Detroit, it was almost exactly like Seattle, and sadly, Denver has almost the same overdose deaths as Portland in a year. Just goes to show how bad Denver has become very sadly SMH
This was a fascinating profile of homeless in Denver, very informative! The in-depth interviews really brought a sense of humanity to their tragic situations. You have a great channel Nick, keep up the good work my friend.
America's lack of concern and respect for their neighbor. Government's concern is helping the rich and business get richer while neither one of these care about anybody or their country. While religion declines in America, the country goes downhill.
$12,000,000 for a couple of those tiny tent cities? WHAT?! For 12 million you could build multiple dozens of mobile structures including the over sight of people you would need to make sure they run properly. There are grifters in the charity/philanthropy industry that need to be audited but not enough responsible people to do it. Perry seems like a high functioning addict, I can only imagine what he could get done if it weren't for the hard drugs. Really likeable guy.
They don’t want that! It also takes money to maintain. They don’t want rules or structure and why should they get free anything? While the rest of us fund enough already?
The consultant class isn’t for solving the problem. Instead they take the billions, go to conferences and the sole some of their actions is to tell people like Nick to get lost.
I got out of Colorado in the year 2000. Bill Owens was the Governor, Mike Rosen was on KOA in the mornings, everything seemed to be looking up. Three Democrat Governors later and it's officially a shithole.
It sucks in Denver. I’ve been here 35 years and have seen the decline n the state. I do live in a conservative pocket of the state so locally things aren’t too bad yet.
As a Denver native, it's shocking and sad to see what my city has become. Now I know what Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders meant when she sang "I went back to Ohio, but my city wasn't there." Way to go Denver.
This is a national problem, housing is supply side, they make too much money renting at elevated prices and leaving thousands of apartments open than renting for a fair price and filling apartments. Its a national problem, and a city can't fix it, cities just bus homeless people from one city to the next.
If he was making almost 100K in construction he would have had health insurance. Also, if he got injured on the job it would have been covered under working's comp. That didn't sound right to begin with.

There are churches that would help homeless people who would stay off drugs, but many of them refuse the help. They love drugs more than they want help.
Thank you for opening American eyes to the homeless apocalypse that is spreading across our country. You are making it hard for people to close their eyes to the truth. Maybe when enough eyes are opened we can force the change that needs to happen
This country has always had a crisis. That crisis is that a few have gotten all the control, power, resources, etc., and there is nothing left for everybody else to have a decent life, and opportunities.
After watching many of Nicks videos I’ve come to this conclusion: there are ruined cities/towns, red and blue but they arrived that way differently. Red: industry left, jobs gone then poverty and drugs moved in. Blue: drugs came in, homeless came, then society collapsed. Outward changes for one and the other is deliberate. Both are probably deliberate, to weaken our country and our men.
It's all deliberate. None of it is coincidence. There is no other rational explanation for the way our leaders act. Everyone that can be bought has been bought. Truth is treason. Common sense is a superpower.
Great observation! I would say that in the Red cities it was not deliberate. Rather, the leadership wasn't competent enough to recognize the decline and stop it. They tried to maintain the past and the world left them behind. But you are 100% correct about the Blue. The leadership of Blue cities did it intentionally.
I’ve been wondering; what’s the end game of this? Who is buying all of this undesired area ultimately to help the cities? It won’t be the govt will it? Another country perhaps? The general elite? This disease x is scary in combo w all of this…. Giving walking dead vibes
@@joe9349 I didn’t do drugs, had a decent office career and STILL couldn’t afford the cheapest rents out there. I guess I missed the boat on 100K + a year jobs cause that is what it takes to get by on your own in Denver.
San Fran, Portland, Seattle, Denver... same city, different states. You are spot on Nick. I spent 3 decades visiting all of these cities on a regular basis, and all this was so obviously foreseeable 10 years ago, and more to the point, preventable.
Your right , very preventable but the leadership needed to be change. The liberal Democratic leadership are killing these cities, with de-fund the police initiatives, taxes increase to unbearable unsustainable levels are killing these cities.
California is the starting point. Most of these cities have high populations of transplants from California, their disease is spreading across the country. Has encompassed most of the western part of the country, Oregon and Washington wasn’t this way 25-30 years ago
Their main concern is to oust Trump off the ballot rather than cleaning up their state. Any city in USA that looks like this, the politicians need to be removed immediately and replaced with hardworking problem solving leaders.
Part of the big reason this is happening is because Trump, Bush, Regan gave tax cuts to the rich. When you don't collect revenue you don't have money and have to close shelters and rehab. You don't have rent vouchers or affordable housing. So yes.
Exactly. Hope all those who voted for these liberals are very happy now. Ugh. It's disgusting. Just FYI, Nick. Was a bit disheartening to hear you call it "Bum land." Not all homeless people are drug addicts, at least not here in Houston, although looks like it's the majority in LA and Denver, San Francisco, etc. Some of them are single mothers with kids who can't afford these ridiculous rents we've got, not to mention school supplies, food, health insurance, car insurance, etc. We have a ton of elderly people who are homeless. They've paid on their homes for 40 years but inflation and property taxes, HOA fees, etc, have skyrocketed due to Biden's policies and the Fed with their sky high interest rates, they've lost their homes to foreclosure which is extremely sad. It's a bit better here in Houston but we still have the same issues. The absolute WORST is to see homeless veterans who served our country on the streets, while that bastard Biden and his woke libs are busy feeding and housing illegals and sending BILLIONS to other countries (and taking illegal kickbacks) and the first thing they want to do is talk about cutting Medicare and Social Security. NO. F that! Let's take Congress lifetime benefits first then we'll talk.. It's criminal what he's done to this country!!! They did get EXACTLY what they voted for.

This is happening more and more throughout the country. This is so alarming, more and more people getting displaced due to the rising cost of rent. There was a time when companies gave their workers a cost of living raise, not anymore. Many of us are barely able to keep a roof over our heads, even with a job.
Yes, and it's only happening in solid blue, Democrat run cities that were beautiful places to live just a decade ago under Republican leadership. I lived in Portland in the early 90s and it was awesome. Then it turned blue not long after and slowly started to become the dump it is today. Just a coincidence? I think not.
Its the drugs. Nothing to do with rent. Plenty of resources to house these kind people, but they prefer to stay in the streets because they're not ready to get and stay clean. I've been there, done that.

I moved from Denver to Melbourne Florida 4 years ago. Spent the majority of my life living in denver and lakewood. You will see this all over the metro area. Glad I got my son out of there!
made the same move 5 years ago, left a nice 11th floor Capitol Hill condo with a view of the mountains, for a nice house with a huge yard 15 minutes from the beach. After seeing this video, I think we both made the right choice.
I lived in Lakewood too for a couple years. I have never seen anything like this. Then I went to Washington state and worked for the Department of Defense. I’m not even there anymore, though I miss Washington’s beauty.. I don’t miss politics.
I love how we all keep calling it a homeless problem. Fentanyl is a big problem in CO. The RESIDENTS are the people voting to open more shelters and offer more resources rather than increase consequences, do more sweeps, make it hard to be a junky. "Their just down on their luck" "they just need a tiny home", "they just need more help". In another 2 years the problem will cause businesses to close just like in Portland and San Fran.
If increased consequences was the answer this would have been fixed long ago. All that does is sweep the problem under the rug. Out of sight out of mind. While the legal system becomes a racket to put money in the pockets of the ones in charge. Look at the. Immigrants and the total mismanagement of funds. Nothing gets solved and working ppl pay more and more in taxes and cost of living expenses. You don't decriminalize crime tho and that is wht they are doing. The purpose in doing that is to implement total control of the population. Make things so bad ppl give up their freedoms for security. The rich get richer and the poor...
I remember weed was legal there and denver being known for that and now look at them. I hate weed smells so i noticed fhat right away many years ago when i visited
Wow, this is just awful. Not just Denver but every where. How could we let this happen? And WHY in the world are there SAFE injection sites!!!! they should be putting these people in rehab and. GET RID OF THE DRUGS NO MATTER WHAT!!! My heart groans for my country.😢
As a former addict you’re not ready to quit until you’re ready. The facts are that safe injection sites also prevent things like an HIV crisis which puts a strain on the health system and costs taxpayers more money than a safe injection site would. It also prevents needles from winding up on playgrounds. There are a lot of positives that aren’t just about the addicts.
These guys are out there because they want to be out there. So sad. The solution is creating a non permissive environment and give either help or jail.

My hometown of San Diego is now ruined in the downtown area. San Diego County was such a great place to grow up in. It was such a great area and we went downtown all the time as teens to study in the main library . We’d eat lunch at Woolworth’s and we could even go at night and have no problems.
Many of us have memories of growing up in a wonderful place, I do. You describe much of my youth but, I was on the other side of the country. Many of those places have changed or are in the process of changing. Sadly, the youth of today will never know it.
I too grew up in San Diego and lived there almost my whole life. I remember as a kid going to the old downtown library and Fox theater for movies. Balboa Park for family picnics and the museums. Never saw a homeless person back in the 70’s/80’s. I recently moved to a small town in Oregon: Albany. There’s homeless here but the city manages it and they move on to more”tolerant” cities such as Eugene/Corvallis/Salem.
I wonder what they'll do when they realize that their futures have been stolen. I wonder how angry they'll get. I've seen this story before. It ends with people lying dormant in the streets, if you get my meaning.
I live in Denver. The decay has been breathtakingly fast. Most of the problems you just witnessed were not here 5 years ago. Coors Field used to be extremely safe; now it's dangerous, along with the surrounding areas. Interesting part? I've never heard a local living here actually blame drugs and heavy drug use. It's almost invisible to some people, chiefly the people who voted to decriminalize. Also, the Denver Metro area has gone downhill since legalizing marijuana, since it didn't attract the right people (productive members of society) but rather the "living in mom's basement, unemployed/unemployable crowd". Good luck!!!
I lived in Colorado 6 years ago and you could 100% see this coming, thus why I left in 2020. I had a friend who lived across from Coors field and there were bums all over then too.
I'm an RN & have heard patients say they were going to Colorado so they can get weed legally. A lot of them are still drug seeking (pain & anxiety pills) & see marijuana as an alternative to narcotics - instead of getting clean. To see drugs so freely available on the streets is Kensington all over again.

Hey Nick, how are you? I'm watching your video on homelessness in Denver. You should have covered the metro area like Aurora, Arapahoe, Douglas and Jefferson counties. It's a nightmare! Now we have buckeye immigrants coming daily. I work for a few of these counties as a Peer, me and my team outreach everyday, assist, follow up and provide all different sorts of resources available. A friend of mine (now deceased) was homeless off and on in DEnver for almost a decade. He said the situation there was pretty bad. He ended up going to San Diego where conditions were better but more strict. His addiction in the end got to him.
Sorry to hear about your friend. Addiction is so hard to fight. I lived in Fort Collins for a few years and knew a lot of people on the street. It’s tough to see fellow humans go through all that.

I thought the same thing when I was younger,I figured just legalize them, and people will be chill, go to work etc, but I was wrong, they just want to get high and lay around and coom all day.
Legalization of weed is less harmful than the legalization of alcohol and cigarettes. But when you decriminalize drugs indiscriminately and don't offer drug rehabilitation help this is wht happens.

Colorado Springs is becoming like this as well. We’re moving out of this blue state to the forest. There’s no incentive for hard work anymore. Can’t blame them when they KNOW they’ll never own anything. The jigs up. This is what you get Corporate America.
This is very sad. I had a rough childhood, and ended up in transitional housing with severe panic attacks during the 2008 recession in CA. Once you’re that poor, there’s no pulling yourself out of it. There’s just too many things against you. I stayed away from drugs, but the temptation was always there. Life was just so slow and difficult that it’s tempting to just take any drug to dull the pain. I found antidepressants didn’t work for me either. It seems like if you’re depressed because of real problems, none caused by you, they don’t work. A job didn’t even help. Minimum wage was $6.75/hr. That’s all anyone payed. Meanwhile a single bedroom studio was $1,200. That was the low end. I should mention that I got disability due to the panic attacks. Finished my Bachelor’s in Computer Science, and I am now successfully employed Sys Admin. These people need help. Have some compassion.
Excellent comment! Happy to hear you overcame your issues without turning to hard drugs and destroying your life. You are 100% correct about antidepressants.

Likely a plan drafted by the Chinese government lol.
Reds: drugs moved in. Blues: drugs came in. Common denominator - drugs.

Mean tweets hurt liberals more than the homeless crisis or migrants dying trying to get to the US.
Part of the big reason this is happening is because Trump, Bush, Regan gave tax cuts to the rich. When you don't collect revenue you don't have money and have to close shelters and rehab. You don't have rent vouchers or affordable housing. So yes.

My cousin Drew is homeless in Denver. He is not a drug user or alcoholic. Drew refuses to take meds for a mental illness.
I'm boarderline homeless I'm in motorhome & work at a campsite on lake. It's cool and all I'm greatful but it's getting harder & harder for me to work , keep up & all. Reckon that's life for us all
Lot of us are struggling.. Not b kuz of flippin drugs. I'm sic of people saying that. Can't they see what these politicians are doing? i can barely eat.. I am blessed in many ways..
I m thankful.
I live in Phoenix and the problem is the same if not worse.
My husband was part owner of CFA!! He is now Homeless!!
My husband was prescribed both Oxycodone and Fentanyl when he was going through cancer treatment. Doctors over prescribed and didn't monitor his withdrawal so that when I finally got him off it I had a huge supply left. Dropped it off at the police department and supposedly they disposed of it. Super scary to think so many in this country are hooked on this stuff.
Oxycodone AND fentanyl 🤯 Sounds like it would kill someone! The medical industry only cares for their pockets and it’s time the American people stand up and make noise over it all. How many have become addicts because of this crap the “doctors” are pushing? 😢
This right here is the real issue. It’s not weed. It’s our freakin healthcare system that pumps everyone up with painkillers and then takes them off to fend for themselves.
Yes my dad was hooked on oxycodone as well for stage 4 throat cancer and when he wasn’t smoking marijuana or taking it he would be in sooo muchhh pain he would want to fight everybody. He than died in June of 2023 as it went down to his lungs and he don’t have to go through that pain anymore he in a better place now
The current U.S. government letting illegals in to our country and providing means to live off the street is nuts !
most of the homeless people in this video are white americans?
VOTE TRUMP...VOTE RED ACROSS THE COUNTRY...DONT VOTE FOR ANY DEMOCRAT AND DONT VOTE FOR ANY RINO OR LIBTARD..
In Denver you would think that you were literally living in Mexico!!
All I saw were a bunch of white dudes in the video

I live in a rural area and there’s no homeless people. I’d rather live in the middle of nowhere than a city like that.
As the state has gone blue, the homeless have cropped up. I'm up the road a bit and I hate that Greenies run away north to escape what they've done.
Same is happening here in Texas. As counties and cities get more blue the shit just gets worse. The people seem to be blind deaf and dumb.
@@martinel2450 They literally keep voting for homlessness and crime. I came from Texas man. I moved up this way in 2020 as I saw things going sideways there.
@The2ndFirst I'm glad Fort Collins at least puts its foot down on stuff like this. There's a homeless problem here as well but they don't tolerate encampments, thankfully.
@@TheHamburgler123 I dated a girl from Ft Collins for a bit. Every time I've been through there, it's been a decent experience. Good on you guys.
Check out red state of Alaska with the homeless everywhere in Anchorage
It is so sad to see this going on in our cities today. I never thought Denver would be one of those cities that would have this problem. When it gets cold, that has to be brutal. So very sad.
Denver has warehouses that they store the homeless during the winter times. Most just live in their made-up tents.
Because you think Chicago, Detroit and places like Baltimore are the problem but it’s every city and all races that have issues with drugs, crime and homelessness.
Well! At least they weren’t stuck in a Dump of a State like Oregon where it is a disgrace & has ongoing rain & doesn’t care how bad it is!
@@JR-wu8dcEvery DEMOCRAT city...

The problem is far greater than these unfortunate souls. Put the blame where it belongs instead of being so angry. I was one of these folks, but extremely blessed today. Love and compassion helped me out of my hell, not hatred and intolerance .
Yeah, none of our states have a homeless problem. They have a corrupt politicians problem. Hate and don't tolerate Them.
But you chose to get clean and get your life together. They aren't. Thats the difference. Love and tolerance is what is keeping them sick.
It’s simple ppl shouldn’t do drugs
Truth… I run an Amazon delivery team and I won’t even send my female drivers downtown anymore.. it’s too dangerous… so sad.
What are you a 3rd party delivering packages i worked for Amazon they would laugh if you didn't feel safe or maybe they would idk Amazon sure likes to cater towards women which personally i think is bs but 100% sure if you can't deliver packages cause you don't feel safe you would be shown the doors quicker then you can blink cause there's a line of people outside that will deliver in that area regardless
Isn’t that sexist? You don’t think women are equal to men?
stop voting democrat and this wont happen
ironic how your job took everyone else's, and yet you'll complain about the people you pushed out of housing.
@@kd3nal72so these women should lose their jobs because people are trash? Someone will rob a woman quicker than they will rob a man.. it’s common sense to have drivers that can and will run the sketchy areas. This person is a good boss and working with the situation they are given.

politicians are just the stooges of the capital and israel. democracy is a tool that you buy. it's for sale.

lol as if red states didn’t say the same about Obama. You’re right, you get what you vote for and the worst performing states are red states. The reasons people are homeless is a combination of poverty, drugs and mental illness - solving that is too hard so politicians rather play tribalism.
Always a good day when a new Nick Johnson video drops.
Nick - I really wish you would refrain from calling house less people "BUMS". This shows your judgment and judgment is not what these American people need. It is obvious that you've never gone through hard times and good for you. However, not everyone had/has this luxury.
Agreed. This is the problem, no compassion.
Nick Johnson is very much a stereotypical toxic hateful antisocial conservative. Textbook case.
It’s even worse in Denver now - Nick should do a follow up video after the arrival of all the illegals from Venezuela. Trash everywhere, schools and hospitals overwhelmed big time!!!
Next stop, eating the zoo animals like in Venezuela? Wait and see.
Totally agree. Nick come back in a few months. Sad though because illegal families living on the streets with babies and children.
I just saw a doc about Venezuela. Very dire situation their too.! 😢

It's not only a socio-economic problem, but a huge mental health crisis. The 1% in the US need to put money into this since they are benefiting from the increasing disparity between the haves and the have-nots. The rest of us are sick of being taxed to death for problems they create.
Wrong.
Its a blue voter problem.
It's drugs to sick of it
The 1% pay almost 40% in taxes. Most people pay 12-24%. 40% of 1 billion dollars is alot more than 12% of $30,000. Taking even more from them leaves no incentive to make the billion dollars in the first place.
Correction, the 1% should be paying almost 40% in taxes. They definitely do not thanks to a myriad of reason we allow them to get away with.@@jojofashosho5344

I left San Diego two years ago after 30 years. So aad
My daughter lives there, I hope she makes plans to leave after she finishes her doctorate... California was such a beautiful state once upon a time.
I wonder what they'll do when they realize that their futures have been stolen. I wonder how angry they'll get. I've seen this story before. It ends with people lying dormant in the streets, if you get my meaning.
This isn’t because of legal weed, this is happening everywhere. All Cities.
Something tells me that construction worker didn't get hurt on the job and isn't going back to work anytime soon.
I like how deep you've gotten with it over time. You're top notch.
I need to vacation there 😃
I lived in Colorado 6 years ago and you could 100% see this coming, thus why I left in 2020. I had a friend who lived across from Coors field and there were bums all over then too.
Democrats
I'm an RN & have heard patients say they were going to Colorado so they can get weed legally. A lot of them are still drug seeking (pain & anxiety pills) & see marijuana as an alternative to narcotics - instead of getting clean. To see drugs so freely available on the streets is Kensington all over again.
@@jamesrecknor6752 Denver never votes agianst its best intrest.
Should be called Americas drug crisis. This is what Politicians aren’t addressing.
But the drugs keep them 'dumbed down', numb, and makes the sense of hopelessness more tolerable.
@@Blissfulnessence we watched as Nick showed areas that they are giving people opportunities to get out of that life and start over… what were the requirements? Be nice, don’t do drugs or alcohol, shoot they are even giving them free counseling! While they maybe numbing themselves, why? There’s ways out! Shoot in Fl they didn’t expand Medicaid and lots of people are suffering and would like that type of help FOR SURE. Truth is it’s the drugs that have a hold on them and they need addiction counseling which it seems Colorado is trying to give.
This is a spiritual problem. Void of Christ

Granted we are over run and do not have enough resources but mostly I wanted to give all the people in Colorado and other states that are doing everything they can to mediate between the homeless community and the rest of society.
We don't have all the answers, neither do they.
The best I can offer is for everyone to work together.
I never commented on a video before but you definitely got my attention.
Denver is still a great city!🎉
A friend of mine (now deceased) was homeless off and on in DEnver for almost a decade. He said the situation there was pretty bad. He ended up going to San Diego where conditions were better but more strict. His addiction in the end got to him.
What did he mean by "the situation"?
@@user-tm8jt2py3dthe homeless and drug epidemic
Sorry to hear about your friend. Addiction is so hard to fight. I lived in Fort Collins for a few years and knew a lot of people on the street. It’s tough to see fellow humans go through all that.
Wow, so it's easier to make it in San Diego at the end of the day than Denver. I feel it just really shows you how much the elites of Colorado don't care at all about the people of Colorado. Colorado is a becoming a really bad craphole SMH
He had it coming because of his lifestyle and its a wonder he lasted so long.
Homelessness made me realize that I was dead wrong about the legalization of drugs.
No shit. So many liberals that I grew up with helped create this nightmare, at least you are decent enough to admit it.
As opposed to the Republicans locking them up and charging the tax payer billions for locking them up, releasing them, and having them return. Lol Being "tough on crime" is bullshit
When weed was decriminalized the cartel had to peddle chemicals. Cops joined the cartel and here we are.
“Now they’re coming here just to come.” Literally spit out my drink when you said that. lol
Total respect for the navy vet. Very well informed and intelligent. I hope he gets the support he needs.
Greed and politicians are the reason for homelessness.

Moved away from Denver in 2013 when most people worked for a living. The welfare in Denver has gone through the roof. And the guy in the video said he gets to walk around and live for free. It's also a sanctuary state where 3rd world criminals get to live for free.
Me too. It all started to go downhill when they legalized dope. I left and won't be going back.

Nobody smokes weed and winds up living on the streets, it's a false correlation.
I moved to the Denver Metro Area 24 years ago I used to go to downtown at night in the summertime time it was nice, 16th Mall was nice it was a good nightlife and for the most part safe.
But I stopped going to downtown 10 years or so ago with all the crime it's not worth it. I wonder if this could be caused by that we have had several Democrat Governors, Democrat Mayors
I have another year before I will retire so I am hoping that the housing market will stay strong so I can sell my house and move to someplace maybe Idaho a more conservative state.
I wandered around Downtown Denver for about ten hours at night in ...2019...right before the pandemic. Saw no crime, nothing bad happened to me, nobody even said "boo".
Dope is bad, no matter what the government says. Too bad it takes this level of depravity for the country to wake up. Some of us have been talking about this for DECADES. Ben Franklin was right about making people comfortable in poverty. There have been poor folks since the dawn of time, but since COVID and crime lenience we have had the tents and trailers and RV’s. It’s a culture shift. Good job Nick!
God bless the navy vet. Hope he gets help
Before anything can be done we have to change the politics of America. If people can’t see what’s happening on the top then we are doomed.
