Nothing like going back to a spot that was shown to you and say "a spot I normally fish"

hahaha nice! as a Marine himself, I cannot imagine the sheer amount of trash talk MDLR has had to take and/or dish back in his life time. You don’t see it on camera because he keeps it light and professional but I’ll bet he can trash talk better than most! as can be surmised in his pinning of this comment and trite reply to the attempted troller. lol, nice try, Dustin.

I am a 66 year old retired orthodontist with lots of free time to watch UA-cam kayak fishing videos. No one…and I repeat NO ONE!!! in the Galveston (Texas) creates the amount of good quality fishing videos that you creat for us.
The “quality of fishing” and quantity that you produce makes you…
“ The Leader” MDLR no one even close. ♥️🎣
Great to CU and you son back and well. Rico

When they use to have boat races from over there fishing was great back then and at times, as you've shown, its still a productive outing. Thanks for sharing and as always Tight Lines and Full Limits To Ya. 🎣

Heard stories from my grandad that it was awesome. He died in 85. Tarpon. Snook. Specks . He fished it in the 30s and 40s. I dont think he was lying. No reason to. Rock on mdlr. Get ready for some fall action.

Those deep holes are really productive when it gets really cold. The trout will school up i guess to keep warm.

I'm kind of surprised you are going with the 10# braid. My favorite setup uses 15# but I use a 15lb fluoro leader as well.
I usually use 20-30# with the 15# leader only to make sure if I break off I'm not leaving a bunch of braid for someone's motor to find later.
Not a critique, really just curious. Cheers!

I cast light lures and distance suffers when stepping up test#. Break offs really haven’t been an issue.

When you have to measure a fish it’s to small.. offatts bayou needs to be closed to fishing made a sanctuary so trout and reds and flounder and shrimp can reproduce for our future fishing go fish in the bay or beach or gulf. Your vid’s are good but it no challenge. It’s to ez to catch where you are going.
