Oh my gosh, Hastings is very cute with the ornaments and reminds me of one of my cats, so that was adorable to watch. I am really interested in most of the books in this vlog. I read the Farseer Trilogy a few years ago, but have forgotten most of the plot beats, so I may need to read the Wiki before diving into the Mad Ship books. Happy 2022!
I loved Magpie Murders and Laura Lippmann is one of my favorite authors. The Tess Monaghan series is great and most of her stand alones are outstanding.
Glad you didnt get really sick. Yay for boosters. Hastings and Marple are the absolute cutest. Now I am so excited to get to the Liveship Traders trilogy. I have to read Assassin't Quest first, though. I will start it before February comes. That is my current plan.
This was a lovely cosy watch. Also- I listened to the latest changeling cast and when you said something like "He doesn't know what to do with those feelings but I do!" I laughed out loud. Thanks :)
This was such a fun vlog! Love this video format from you 😊 I finished the year with Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell and then read the entirety of Evie Dunmore’s Bringing Down the Duke on New Year’s Eve and absolutely loved it - a perfect book to end the year!
momlikewhoa! 😭💖 so glad you're feeling better! Your tea steeper/mug is adorable this year I put a few decoy ornaments at the bottom of the tree that are cloth and so can't get broken and thankfully most of the time the kitties went for those! 😂
@@bookslikewhoa I wonder if they get going with the first bunch, if the next ones might go a bit quicker, because they will understand the purpose better.
Mara! I too loved RAZORBLADE TEARS! It was a top read for me. I own the audiobook and loved it. Another book we've read and enjoyed. I just finished EIGHT PERFECT MURDERS and was ehh on it.
Am inspired by your organization which I need to do. Still not a non-fiction reader but you've convinced me to listen to Rick Riodan's audiobooks; I like them. Looks like Hobb is next. Wishing you good health, cheers !
I loved this blog, so thank you for sharing. I was looking for something cozy and comforting to watch while trying to get some bedrest, and this was just perfect. Hastings is adorable 😻 I’m so excited to read the Liveship Traders series later this year, and the Magpie Murders sounds just perfect. The book about disability in fairy tales also sounds really interesting. TFS!
I like Laura Lippman and did not know she had published a short story collection. I’ve reserved it at the library. I really enjoyed her book “The Girl in the Green Raincoat.” BTW I love your kittens. Wondering what kind of tea thingee that was. Happy New Year.
@@bookslikewhoa I am following Bunny, Billy and Russ and my believes about animals and their abilities have changed a lot. Good luck and lots of fun! :)
I’m so glad you liked Razorblade Tears. It broke me more than once. I sobbed like I knew the characters personally. Now I have to read SA Cosby’s debut and everything he writes into the future. I anticipate more emotional messiness. I finished Royal Assassin two days ago and am continuing to be impressed with how much I appreciate Robin Hobb’s slow, intricate crafting of her characters. The more I hear you talk about it the more you have me chomping at the bit to get to Mad Ship. It seems like Mad Ship will have a different feel than Farseer even though they are in the same world. Is that right? Because I’m trapped in quarantine for a few days I also decided to plunge into Jade City too. It will be interesting, I think/hope, to compare Lee to Hobb in such close proximity. Your fish tea brewing cup is hilarious!! This is a bunny-based house though so I don’t suppose that company makes the same cup with a carrot instead. Sadly.
Yes, Mad Ship is definitely its own vibe because it's multi POV... and while it is the same world, we're only hearing about the Six Duchies as a kind of sidebar rather than the main setting. It's so cool to see how much she fleshes out this world!
Ugh you are making me *NEED* to read Assassin’s Apprentice! It will happen in 2022, hopefully more of the series too.
YAY, hope you enjoy!!
I’m in love with the Feline Intermissions we get to see 😂
They are truly the stars of this one

Happy New Year!!
I loved this. Your home is so cozy and your cats are adorable!
I just knew you loved Razorblade Tears. I also cried at the end!
Oh thank you!
aaaand magpie murders is officially on hold with sistersong at the library… yay!
As someone with chronic health issues, being able to control the chaos outside my body helps me too. It helps to be organized.
Agreed!!

Assassin's Quest is a chonky one, so good luck!!
I loved this vlog so much, it was very cozy 🥰 the kitty footage was precious 🥺
They are the main characters of this one ;)
Your tree is so pretty. And I love your Nordic sweater it’s gorgeous.

Thank you for the vlog! My favourite type of video 😃 & definitely appreciated all the kitty content 🥰
Glad you enjoyed it!

‘The Magpie Murders’ on iTV will be interesting because it’s going to be so meta. I hope David Suchet plays a role.
momlikewhoa! 😭💖
so glad you're feeling better!

LOL I did something similar but they definitely think those cloth ones are kitty toys :D
Cats are so adorable at Christmas. Hope you're feeling better.
Thank you! Definitely feeling way better
Red Book and Red Lipstick. We love to see it!
Would love to hear how the kittens are getting on with the buttons! I find them fascinating...the pet buttons 😄
Definitely a slow process... they are still pretty hit or miss on using them, but I feel like it has helped me communicated better with them at least
@@bookslikewhoa I wonder if they get going with the first bunch, if the next ones might go a bit quicker, because they will understand the purpose better.
We love a bit of Pantry Organisation Content 👏🏽 (Edit: It’s brilliant!)
Yay! Thank you!

Right??? It's SO good! So emotional, SA Cosby just crushed my heart in the best way
@@bookslikewhoa Yeah, Cosby might be an autoread author for me. I didn't expect to be so taken with RAZORBLADE TEARS.

Santa brought that tea mug to me :) Happy New Year!
I love the sweatshirt you're wearing at the beginning of the vlog! Definitely need to snag me some merch-like-whoa!
LOL hope you enjoy it ;)
Where did you get your adorable cat teacup? I love it.
Santa brought it to me :)
Jealous! I have had the audio of Razorbllade Tears on hold for forever. Cannot wait to read it!
Hope you enjoy!!
I love watching your vlogs!!!!
Glad you like them!
Are you planning videos about the buttons? I would love to see them!!! #talkinganimals
We are still in very early days with it, so we'll see how it goes! :D

do you have talk buttons for your cats?! i wanted to get some but i know mine would just beg for food constantly
We're working on it! You might be surprised... I thought mine would always be hitting the treat button, but not so much so far :D
please read wolf hall!
Haters will call it ‘2021 Hangover’, but I will call it ‘2021 Retrospective’ 😂

This was a brilliant vlog!
Thank you!!
Would you consider reading any books by c.t ortega?
Not on my radar, but maybe someday!
So sad I’m not a romance reader as I would so enjoy listening to your podcast but these long form videos will have to do
Hope you enjoy it!
