I'm reading through the PDF now, and as you said, it is quite interesting. I'll be looking forward to getting a hard-copy, if possible, providing shipping doesn't cost the 'wealth of nations'. The upcoming videos sound interesting too.
I picked up the pdf based on your previous video, and I agree that it is a game worthy of the Talisman brand. It reminds me a lot of WFRPG but with a lighter touch and a more accessible system.
I was pleasantly surprised by the old school feeling and the light approach but right to the center of what basic fantasy is. It seems to promise fun and relaxed play while still manages to paint the tropes nicely. Inspired by your play I bought the pdf and create an online sheet to be used in Foundry VTT for my group to play. We will be ...no...they will be (players) rolling some dice next week.
Sold! :) Thanks you for this indepth presentation. I love Talisman boardgame and was looking for a light fantasy game like this. According to Miniature Market the system should be published in march so I cannot wait to put my hands on it.
Thank you for the video. I look forward to seeing more on this system. It would be awesome to play to give this a try as a player before I go DMing :) Ill probably end up DMing it first anyway, but this video is very encouraging. -Jacob
Nice input, thanks! Can't wait to watch the actual plays. Sadly not really much channels cover this RPG. Would you please explain the armor mechanic in the game? I do not really understand how it works exactly (the damage reduction with the wear and tear).
I'm looking forward to the series. I enjoyed the live session you did recently, and it convinced me to pick up the pdf. I love what the game does with the ghouls and the leywalkers. I definitely want to play a Leywalker Prophet someday. Seems like a fun combination. I'll probably pick up the hard copy as well once its own. Both editions look gorgeous.
Speed/move seems high? Move 10+Agility square per round or sprint for 3 times that? Sprinting is usually as long as my maps are. Doesn't that seem a bit high? Am I missing something?
Has anyone made a quick reference regarding the combat actions? It doesn't look like an official one has been released and there are a load of different effects based on the degree of success a player achieves. To much to memorize up front anyway.
Hey there Guy, perhaps it's one question in the many videos you folks have produced that I've happened to miss over the years; but I was wondering if you could address the question of what to do, when players -or more namely, their characters- have come to odds and are thinking about offing one another? I am for player agency (especially if both parties consent), and it would lend to some very dramatic moments, but it still worries me that a bad taste would be left in the mouth. Is there a place for it? Should it only go so far? What is the most tasteful and rewarding way to do it? Thank you, Guy!
He's done one video about when players fight, found here: ua-cam.com/video/JVj6geFQTjU/v-deo.html In general, as the GM you have the authority to step in and tell the players to knock it off, but as long as all the players are on-board with it, let them do as they wish, its their game too.
I bought the PDF from Pegasus Spiele the day after your first video and I saw the play through you did. I am going to start running Sunday. Very excited. I have a question regarding your run: Around the 24:54 time code of the Live Play (ua-cam.com/video/QvtSdDQ4G6A/v-deo.html) the elf spends a spell point to "negate" his normal roll (I assume he increased his success). I can't seem to find that rule in the PDF, could you please tell me where that is. Thanks
I wish they would sell you the book and you could get a pdf for a reduced price, it doesn't have to be free but I'd hate to have to spend full price on both. I want to start playing this game but I want the book too. Sorry I hope I don't come off as a jerk.
by the sound of the company's name, it's probably developed in german, then translated to english to publish. Their site is in german, so my guess would be yes. unfortunatly, my german isn't good enough to do the deeper research, but the link to their site in in the description.
@@stianthijsen4784 The description for their PDF contains this line "Es handelt sich um ein englischsprachiges Regelwerk." so I assume the German version is not yet available. I wasn't able to find it when I limited the search to German. If you want to ask the publisher about it, they seem pretty responsive in the discussions at the bottom of the page. www.drivethrurpg.com/product/318483/Talisman-Adventures-Fantasy-Roleplaying-Game?src=hottest_filtered

We have reserved our books already. This is a game I can't wait to play it.
I just got mine this week. I rate it up there with DCC RPG, Swords and Wizardry, and OSE.
Sold! :)

Great review. Please do another one on the combat system with a focus on armor and how it degrades with the"/" and "X".
Yes please, couldn't really get behind that ruling, to be honest.
Nice - I might pick up the book when it's available. Thanks for the video!
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you for doing these videos over this game. It looks very fun.
This is great! I look forward to the series.
Very excited to see the 12 episodes of Nevermore!

Thumbs up for correct pronunciation of "Spiele", didn't care about the rest (j/k)

Has anyone made a quick reference regarding the combat actions?

@@ArchbishopTurpin Much obliged!
Is there a store for people in the USA to preorder this? I went to the link shared above and they only ship to countries in Europe.
Hey! You have to pre-order through your local retailer. Retailers can get more information here: pegasus-web.com/retailers/ :)
Best regards!

So how do you start getting the +20 to hit and to damage? Let's see some optimized builds.
I only now found out he is south African and that I find super cool
