To clarify the floor dismount rule: There is NO dismount element group on FX. There are 4 other element groups instead. Seniors are required to have their last pass be a double flipping skill. This could be as simple as a double back tuck (assuming the gymnast already has a D backward tumbling skill) to fulfill proper start value. However, to increase the maximum start value, I think we will see a lot of back double pike dismounts, since it is double flipping and just got upgraded to a D element For other events (PH, SR, PB, HB) the dismount is super important, as the video clarified, the value of the dismount will be the value of the element group. As gymnasts are training, each letter upgrade in the dismount adds .2 to the routine start value.
The guest is very knowledgeable. Floor and vault are unique compared to other apparatus when it comes to dismount rules. There were questions of whether bonus applies to floor dismount. I hope the next code is more balanced when it comes to the range of apparatus score. Parallel bars was too high relative to other apparatus.
I don't like the incoming code, it just seems like they're sacrificing complex routines for the benefit of encouraging some flight elements. Only 2 flight elements per skill group is just stupid.
Okay so I am still confused about the floor dismount thing. Kinsley you made it sound like the value of the skill plus the value of the element group is not how it's going to be scored yet that seems like what she said would be how it scored. I think part of my confusion is I don't know how it was scored in the previous code of points.
Amazing channel!!!! Go gym forever!!! Greetings from Spain
My fave dynamic duo! Y’all killed it! I def learned a lot and I think I’m prepared for the next quad.

This was phenomenal and can hardly wait for next week's episode! Thank you.

FIG will clarify next week, but I believe there is no bonus on floor, but floor code has requirement for double / triple flipping.
