I have actually made a rocket capable of landing on many planets, you see, the issue I run into is that whenever I try landing on the moon, I happen to go really fast and crash into the moon, so, I tested many times, and encasing another vehicle in wheels make it invincible to all terrain, making spaceflight easier.
You should actually catch up into moon's orbit and the slowly and smoothly aim to the ground. As you come closer, keep reducing your speed by the thrusters
1 those astronauts were made with rocket parts and 2 if you look in the future updates menus a literally says that astronauts will be coming soon in update 1.16 I believe. anyway hope you have a good day/morning/afternoon/night.

Hey neutralizer, since you're a big SFS UA-camr. Can you make a request to Stef to add an Option to Hide Controls and some sort of. So you don't need to crop out your videos anymore and it's really annoying for me too because i've been working on some landing montages and the Button is really hiding some of the best bits. Decreasing Opacity Option would work too. TYA!❤️

Try to get into orbit around the moon before you actually land, then do a slow controlled burn ontot eh surface. That can ensure a slow landing.
