The canister that I think you are talking about is a filter which filters the air from things a human can’t breathe, the filter could be attached from the gas mask to a hose then to the filter like the gp-4 but the gp-5 has the filter attached to the mask itself, you have to be careful with some old filters because they might contain asbestos and is deadly to breathe in.
Did I bet you I can make this into a fully functioning gas mask. Just add the 40 mm Port, coat the inside foam with glue, put some eyepieces, put in a inhale exhale valve system and boom functioning gas mask!
Yep, I am using black glue sticks in this one- I just wanted to try them out to see how they compare to the normal ones I use. They seemed a little softer and not as strong, so I wouldn't recommend them unless it is important that your glue is black.
I need the pattern for a cosplay and I couldn't afford to download the pattern because hahaha I'm from Latin America and the dollar is inflating like a phone battery about to explode
I haven't had that problem at all, It might depend though on what brand hot glue you use. The only thing to really watch is that you don't leave it in a really hot car and have the glue melt:)
How small a head? The pattern has three sizes which would cover most adult heads, and the small fits my 10 year old son. I do have the pattern I used for my 3 year old daughter which I could make available if you wanted it.

If you want one quick, this one probably takes half as long to make as the steampunk version...

You mention Mod Podge Melts in your supply list, but the glue coming out of your hot glue gun looked black. Are you using a black hot glue stick?

Does the hot glue become brittle and pop off and fall apart?
I haven't had that problem at all, It might depend though on what brand hot glue you use. The only thing to really watch is that you don't leave it in a really hot car and have the glue melt:)

Yes, you sure could. I would use a veg tanned leather- it has a similar stiffness to the craft foam.

You can Spray paint this type of foam, but I hardly ever do it- spray paint usually dries pretty brittle, and cracks easily.
