one more thing not to like: the flimsy handguards. Mine broke when I laid the Tuareg on to the side (slow and intentionally!)... Do yourself a favor and replace them by barkbusters or similar
I am glad that all of your complaints have nothing to do with the engine, handling or even reliability and are instead mostly hypothetical. Bash plate is easily replaced, and genuine accessories are not necessary as much cheaper versions are already available.
All the Japanese manufacturers have disappointed, where Aprilia have delivered. Just accept the, sad, fact, and enjoy your Aprilia Tuareg. Aprilia has won the day, and the Japanese have missed out, but very curious why.
I like the front end on the Tuareg. It's the Suzuki V-Strom front that needs plastic surgery . . .
Whatever bike you buy, you will have a few niggles. I could list a few about my T7 but I still love it. I hope you enjoy your Tuareg as much. . . . but yeah that front end! lol their artist impression version was much nicer . . but then you are riding it not looking at it hey?

The dipstick is a pain to read, I have to shine a light on it to see where the level is. I am sure you will also discover how easy it is to accidentally flick the lights to main beam. That switch is annoying. But in 7 months of owning the Tuaregs we love them and have had no reliability problems.
Believe it or not, but in South Africa you can currently buy a brand new Tiger Rally 900 for less than a Tuareg. Also Aprilia dealers are few and far between over here
The oil window would be full of dirt, so no point. The bike is not a looker. Aprilia used to be the top dog in the looks departement. Shame.

Just a general statement... During the last 5 days I've watched ALL your clips... I absolutely DO NOT LIKE to click the SUB button to avoid that notifications take control over my life..🥵. But now it simply happened 🤷♂️. Amongst all the screaming superheroes on wheels I finally... FINALLY found THE PERFECT combination of intelligent infotainment & understatement that simply creates a kind of relaxed... 🤔🙄.. "feeling good" state of mind 🙏🙏🙏 Soooo refreshing gentlemen! Somehow like... "Blackadder & Benny Hill go Paris-Dakar" 🤭

well said. amazing bike I love mine. your critisicms are very valid. still worth it in my heart. I keep saying to my friends that even if i had more money I am pretty sure I would still have this bike
I've just spent the day on a good friend's Toerag 660. No green lanes - all unmarked back roads in East Riding. The fuelling is all kinds of wrong (although there is apparently a remap at the first service, and this bike hasn't had it). However, everything else about the Toerag is fantastic. And to be fair, I can easily ride around the silly fuelling (it has some terrible lurches when throttling off). For context, my dailies are a zx9r and more recently an 1150gs (plus a klx250 for TRF stuff).
Most of our customers have gone for tenere.
