      Because only people who are super hardcore come across this stuff... This isnt for the average tech. Solid videos

    This is one of the best BT videos I have came across. From taking the original measurements, adding them to the program and creating final assembly. Great job on the video.

    Good build. Bend tech is great. Kind of a frustrating learning curve but well worth it. Truck is looking great. Should have put a front differential in your truck if you hope to keep up with Robby's AWD.
    Good stuff keep going.

    I'm glad you addressed the rotation issue on the cutting wrappers. I LOVE BT Pro...but, this is one of my pet peeves about it. It seems intuitive that it would index off of the line you create for the rotation on the bends for an out of plane section. The rotational information is already there. I ruined a couple of pieces of tube when I first started using BT until I wrapped my head around the way the cutting wrappers work lol. I assumed I had made a mistake on the first attempt, and did the exact same thing on the second one lol. Then I actually talked to them, and they explained it to me. DOH...I've got it now, but it was sure confusing in the beginning. I still think it would make more sense to just use a line...you have to have an index point anyway if there is any rotation to your part. Excellent video btw!

    I wonder if this guy realizes how smart he is..? He is using procedures and tools that it would take a few days to learn never mind perform the work he is doing. Way to go bro. Amazing. Keep up the good work and content

    awesome build, I really like your digital angle finder holder. i have the same one but don't have a fancy 3d printed mount for it to sit in. any chance you could upload your drawing file?

    awesome stuff. Can you output the pipe into some sort of cad model to then give to someone to laser cut the ends before you bend?

    Any chance you would share your STL file for your angle finder holder? I love watching your videos, so well explained, and motivating for sure. Keep up the great work

    Get a little vinyl cutter and use sticker vinyl for your templates

    • @ntdracing
      @ntdracing  3 роки тому

      I thought about that, but I think paper is a good option. It makes it easy to adjust on the tube if needed. Have you tried the vinyl? How did it work?

    • @mpguilfo
      @mpguilfo 3 роки тому

      @@ntdracing no, just an idea. I saw you were sliding the templates up the tubes. You could probably cut paper on a vinyl cutter just fine, too

    Have you thought about using a vinyl cutter for the knotching patterns? They are cheap and being CNC makes cuts repeatable.

    • @ntdracing
      @ntdracing  3 роки тому +1

      I have a vinyl cutter, but I am not sure it would save any time. Making the paper templates is tedious, but easy enough.

    Awesome video, and great tips! also, what tube bender was that and how did you set it up (I mean did you bolt it to the floor? It didn't look like it, but I was going to get one and didn't now where I would bolt it down.

    “Let’s talk safety”… no guard on the cutoff wheel LOL! Why not just get a notcher?

    • @ntdracing
      @ntdracing  2 роки тому

      I have a really good notcher. It does not give near the capability of BendTech and a angle grinder. I always double protect the eyes and cover everything else. I have discs come apart all the time.
