I'd say its sunny or partly sunny 8 out of 10 days in the winter as opposed to virtually all of the time between February - July and again from October - November. August is the worse time, as its humid, damp and hot due to the monsoon storms but that kind of depends from year to year. Basically, if you can handle hot weather with a short winter then Phoenix is for you.

I like how the light rail just goes along the length of the city. After living in NYC I'm ready for a smaller-town feel, the simplicity and less choices. Huge amount of choice is overrated.
@@garyburbank3537 It's large in size but very much provincial in character. It's nowhere close to the energy and the masculine feel of Manhattan, for sure. I can compare because I just moved to Scottsdale. That's what I mean by a smaller-town feel.
Phoenix is slower paced than NYC but still a big city. It’s a more chill and relaxed big city though which I appreciate. It’s not super dense and congested which I like too. You can have the big city feel or get away if you want. Phoenix is slowly finding it’s culture of being a very viby, artsy, and adventurous city.

Lived there for 40 years. Returned back east 4 years ago for family business. Have regretted it every day since. Looking forward to the day I can return. It's a great city, but not for everybody.
Our downtown, for a city its size, SUCKS. Homeless are everywhere, and its a ghost town. Sad how Atlanta, with 1/2 the size of Phoenix, shows a lot more. Hell, even Detroits downtown is ages better. Lets face it, PHX downtown is a sad joke.
Phoenix doesn't have a central downtown, it's a planned city where all of downtown runs from South to North on Central Avenue to avoid congestion and crime.

Phoenix has lots of new skyline figures on the rise. They will make downtown more lively and give the massive city the skyline its been long overdue for. Astra will the biggest change to the skyline since the Chase tower, and will become AZ's tallest
