So i noticed that you said you wanted to keep it a reliable daily without putting modifications. the evo x is more than capable for daily driving with minor bolt ons like. Hard pipe kit, full exhuast, intake, and electric boost controller. depending on how you wish to tune via open source, or cobb accessport, it is still very reliable and good on gas. Have been using my X with said mods with CobbAccessport Pro tune for about 2+ years. Making 337whp and is still very good on gas but will get going when she needs to! Just some reference if you end up getting the itch for some mods but without the loss of reliability.
yes you are absolutely correct. 4B11s are very capable cars with huge potential as a fun DD with boltons. I went back and forth 100 times about installing AMS downpipe when putting the engine back in the car. I will do an Evo 8 vs Evo X video in the future to explain all this and my experience with the Evo X as a DD. Only thing stopping me from doing bolt ons right now is because of financial reasons lol. and i just dont have time to be modding my 6th car atm.
@@CZeroMedia Ahh i see, completely understandable! I look forward to the future then once you are in a good spot to do what you want! I appreciate the feedback!
maybe you should list out all of the fluids along with the amount you promised you would mention. You missed the amount on the diff fluid. I'm assuming when you said "red line heavy weight" you mean "red line heavy shockproof"? Thanks for the video upload
I would put the underpanels back on instead of leaving them off for weight reduction. I believe they are designed to help with aerodynamics at high speed. Ive done speeds with and without them and maybe its mental but the car feels more planted with the underpanels in place. Added benefit is it keeps the engine bay cleaner as a little less road dust can find its way in.
I believe it might also help with heat management and under-hood airflow, helping channel more air through the front heat exchangers by limiting how much air immediately escapes underneath the car.
Excited to see it start! Been fun watching the progress so far. Love the color too. My Ralliart was that color before i got the X. I never see X's in GG 👍Do you plan to offer a 4b11 shirt soon?
he used heavy shockproof in the rear diff and AYC pump? For an ACD T-Case, the recommended fluid is the Mitsubishi LSD gear oil. If you have a Non-ACD T-Case, we highly recommend using Redline ShockProof Heavyweight (Red). For the rear diff, we recommend the factory Mitsubishi LSD oil as the clutch packs for the limited-slip will no longer work correctly if you use Shockproof. jackstransmissions.com/blogs/pages/oil-recommendations
Absolutely nothing wrong with restoring it to stock form, even stock our Evo X's are nasty.
Hi 😎 Today i have change my rear Differential and Ayc Oil with your Video. Mach weiter so... Greetings from Germany CZero 🙋

I glad he keep it... We needed more evo videos

Coming out really nice.. Maybe considering do smthg about the rust.. Even tho it seems that is only in the surface.. Anyway great job man! 💪
Love the detailed. Thanks
this is a great video, thanks for posting
In California going back to stock is a ritual every 2 years..
Notification squad!! 🙏
So you didn't change the AYC fluid? I am thinking about using Amsoil SVG 75w90 gl5 for transfer case and rear differential. Amsoil ATF for AYC
New fan!! love your sh*t bruh!
What about bleeding after replacing the transfer case oil?

It's the fat evo!
@czeromedia you should run the Evo x or The Evo 8 at The Speed Ring street sprints ;)
Should of 90wt in the diff bro
90wt in tcase too
AYC fluid just use some synthetic ATF
Now if I could just swap the SST for 5 speed........
Corey Carter i have a 2014 MR i want to swap to a 5 speed but the price/problems that come with it just arent worth it😢
unless you know a company like Kozmic motorsports who can make your SST into a monster
I got a p0090 code on my 2003 Evo 8. Any ideas on how to fix it? I’ve already replaced my FPR and the Solenoid as well.
Just a shot in the dark here- But how's the condition of your electrical connections/wiring harness?
Yooo
Yoyyo
Hmmmm no nothing 😱, u at least gonna put a better radiator or stuff to make it more fuel efficient
