Trust quality of what you know. Not quantity. ~Miyagi That table is SO pretty! I like the tongue and groove edges. It adds a little something different without being a distraction from how beautiful the wood is.
This is a great project. I like the hardware you got from the sponsor. It's a great way to add metal to your work without having to learn metal working. The wood looks amazing. Thanks for sharing.
I did, but I didn’t like the look. I would’ve wanted them to stretch the entire width of the top. Also I like that the oak is the star of the show, and the hardware is simple yet enhances the piece.
Lucky to get $300 at most. I go to Home Depot and get 2 inch flat metal and bend it to shape....there's your frame, then add a slab of wood, and voila, it's done for about leess than $100.
Sweet project. If I could sell the pine tables for $1,000 I would build them all day. I'm in the kitn.co website right now. Your oak table is amazing. I like the use of dowels so you can use the straps on the underside of the table. What do you think about using threaded inserts and bolts for mounting the legs instead of screws going directly into the wood?
Haha, yeah the pine version wouldn’t go for that, but oak version is going to sell for $1200. Threaded inserts would totally work. You could easily drill out bigger holes in the legs. Thanks for checking it out!
Sssstttttoooooppppppp!!!!! Premier times are garbage. We know when your videos pop up. Having us click and get nothing it is frustrating. Love your content though. Very entertaining!!!
Ian Temple What this does is allow me to notify you all that I have a new video, and then you get to watch it with me and ask questions in a live chat.
I went to look at the kits but once I'd been at the Kit & Co site for about 10 seconds a box popped up to subscribe to their email list and the close button didn't work... so no looking at the website at all without subscribing to their ads. Sorry, no.. I'm not signing up when I haven't even had a chance to look at anything. Awesome table though..
Emily thanks for checking it out. If you liked the Kit hardware I encourage you to give it another look. I ran into the same issue you described just now, but clicking on the site logo took me out of it immediately. Guessing it’s a little website glitch and not trying to lock you into signing up for emails.

Those transitions though!!
Definitely going to get me one of those kits.
That wasn’t a transition....things just fall apart when I walk past them.

Love this build. What a great table. I have saved so much money on blades since I started using the karate chop method also.
Came out great! Really digging the cinematography strides you’re taking 👍
Thanks Caleb! Always trying to get better.

Cool! from one OKC guy to another!
You weren't kidding when you said that's the nicest wood you have used. Amazing finish! I assume that's red oak...so nice! Great job!
Good lord that wood is beautiful. Nice job!
Right!?! Thank you.

Jonny, exceptionally sweet looking table thanks for sharing.!.!.!.

Thanks Jolien!
Love me some reclaimed wood bro!
Thanks John!
Nice work Jonny!
Thank you!
Both tables came out really nice. I'm still on the fence about the tounge and groove at the ends of the second table.
Thanks Bobby! It looks really good in person, but the great thing about this design is how customizable it is.
Amazing work! I'll have to check out the place you got the reclaimed wood from!
Awesome, thanks!
Thanks for the karate chop joke I needed a laugh
Jonny did you consider using the end straps on the top of the table? that would’ve been a nice look.
I did, but I didn’t like the look. I would’ve wanted them to stretch the entire width of the top. Also I like that the oak is the star of the show, and the hardware is simple yet enhances the piece.
Great build Jonny!...
Thanks!
Good Job dude!
Thanks Scott!

great work.make some wooden folding chair.
Thanks!
Awesome video 👍👍👍
Thank you!
Amazing
Thank you!
This looks amazing. It's too bad the tongue and groove didn't work out, that would have been an awesome feature on the sides.
Whoop!!
I wish I could make like you but for a woman is hard way for being a real master in carpendery
Cant seem to find kit and co. Went to their website and it says coming soon? Do you know if they got bought or went out of business?
That came out really hot.
How long do you let a finish like that sit before flipping it over to do the other side? Or before use?
Personally I'm not keen on the tongue and groove left on. Also routing out for the legs would have been a nice touch. Thanks for sharing.

Why did you put those irons full of holes down of table for increasing strength of material
Autonomous orbital sander 😂👌
How does that handle moisture changes? Here in NH that would crack or buckle, no?
I elongated the holes in the metal strap to allow for wood movement.
Jonny Builds nice build... love them both for the value they bring respectively
Thanks!
@@JonnyBuilds Hasn't wood that old done most of its moving? If its kept in the same climate

Love your work! How did you get those fantastic tracking shots?
Thank you! I recently picked up an Edelkrone slider. Total game changer for the beauty shots.

Mr. Miyagi wax off. Hehehe...
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks!
What is this thing called u use at 3:48 for drilling the holes in the right spot? Would like to use this one instead of an expensive hole sharper
It’s a doweling jig, and I put a link in the description.
@@JonnyBuilds Thx man, appreciate it! Good work on that table too :) Like it
Thank you!
