- I made a table out of flooring, please understand. It was really nice wood and I wasn’t about to let it go to waste. It’s not THAT bad if it looks like a floor. It is an EXPERIMENT.

This was more of a test, so I made a full sized dining table version ➡ ua-cam.com/video/UBH5rf6flmE/v-deo.html
I have old flooring from my parents house, I think it’s close to 100 years old. Rather than burn these old boards they will now become a project I can give my children and nieces to remember the times they spent at mamaw and papaw’s , thanks for sharing this !
Thanks for letting me know, old wood is too valuable to burn! Usually only the surface is bad
Awesome build! I really liked the video. The lack of music was a nice change of pace. I found the rain and nature sounds to be pretty peaceful. Keep it up!!
Thanks for the feedback! I’ve found that nature sounds really put me at ease
Love the angle on the edge 🙌
Enjoyed this. Came to learn how to use flooring to make a table top, stayed for the dry humor. 10/10.
It wasn't THAT dry in the first 30 seconds
So cool and inspiring. Thank you for not adding music. You made it seem so peaceful to create this
Even though I have never done any sort of wood working in my life, your videos are so enjoyable to watch and make me really want to get into it.
You totally should, I would recommend it! The only tool you need to start out is a knife. Start carving away and get a feel for the wood, the way it cuts, its strengths, it’s weaknesses, and go from there :)
You are a true artist!
Well done!
Very peaceful, enjoyable video, sir!
Thank you for posting this.
I have leftover Maple flooring. I'm thinking of doing a kitchen island countertop with it. Good job on your table Amir!
You are a video artist as well as a woodworker. Made me happy to watch. You should teach others how to better video their projects. Kudos.
Oh yes, the finely crafted coffee table in its natural grass habitat at the end. Great job, i also had the ide of using hardwood flooring because it is cheaper and easier to obtain where i am. Glad to see it can turn out very well with some skill and patience.
It’s a great choice, I got it for $1 a square foot.
This is wonderful!
Good to see the Mason bee's!
Beautiful bro lots of love
Looks good to me man! Nice job!
Mike 👍😁🇨🇦
This weather reminds me of my days in Tacoma.
Nice job. I have a bunch of oak and bamboo flooring I got for free. Will have to do something like this. Thanks for the content.
Free is always good :) thanks for watching
Sick shades brotha
Great job! :)
This is great. I hope to try something similar but the hardwood flooring instructions, and other UA-cam woodworking videos, have me really nervous about wood movement. Especially framing it all in as you did. Have you had any issues with this? Thanks for the great video.
Cool build.
You should maybe think about investing in a (sliding) compound mitre saw would save have to set up the table saw all the time for small cuts. Plus they're just downright useful
Maybe he like to worked the wood😢 in a simple way , he enjoyed putting elbow in the beautiful work he do
Wow, liked and subscribed even though I wasn't told to! Great job!
Nice
Sweet build and video! Is there a reason you didnt 45° miter the corners of the vertical pieces?
Just came across your channel and really enjoy the hardwood flooring idea! How do you like the Skil belt sander? I’ve been looking at buying one and it keeps coming up in my search.
subbed when i saw you use the rain for the damp cloth AHHA
Most of my actions stem from laziness (alternative is walking inside to a sink)
Cool video. What is the size of the table?.thanks
What was that last frame? Keep trying to pause but I keep missing it.
You've started selling these, right?! If not you should definitely venture that way. Great work!
I sold this one, but its the only one I made. not a bad idea :)
Very nice touch on the angled edges. What is that scraper product you used to get the glue off?
Its a wood chisel
@@vivimu - That seems pretty risky as it would potentially scratch the wood no?
@@EPSTomcat11 nah old dull chisel use light pressure and you're going to sand it after anyway. The whole point is to make less work for the end result
Use a sharp chisel, a card scraper, or a carbide scraper to remove excess glue, and to level out irregularities in the wood. It is typically better to wipe using a damp cloth before the glue sets.
I love that tool u write at the end.. where can i find it ?

@@A.Mere.Creator Thank you ! Awesome job and great skills 👏
Great job! Why did u choose water based and not Oil based Poly? Would oil based poly be safe on a dining table?
Water based takes around 10 minutes to dry and is ready for another coat, whereas oil can take up to an entire day, and it’s that much better. For a dining table I would recommend setting aside an hour over a few days to properly finish it. I used oil based on my pine dining video, and in the description there is a good resource on how to apply it.
Good luck
@@A.Mere.Creator will do. Thanks 😊

I've looking into this as a cheap way of making table or desk tops. Unless you start with reclaimed materials, or stuff leftover from another project, you will not save any money doing this over just buying a slab of butcher block at one of the big box DIY stores.
Now thats a sexy coffee table if ive ever seen ine
Can u please share the list of tool names for beginners?
In no particular order: Rotary saw, table saw, wood chisel(s), clamps of various sizes, belt sander, paint brush, wood glue, extension cords, dual action (DA) sander, pencil, and tape measure.
I'm going to put together the same exact table but on a bigger scale for a computer desk
That's good to hear, is it going to be anything like the dining table I made? ➡ ua-cam.com/video/UBH5rf6flmE/v-deo.html
@@A.Mere.Creator i can only hope it turns out as good (;
