Like seeing a brand new show all these years later. Love it!!
this video is a totally fresh kick
True, but that was some crazy show back then.
David Letterman and the World's Most Sarcastic Band. 😂😂😂
Loved Letterman in the early days,it was almost like watching a local late night show
Wow! Dave and Paul may be different, but they're both very funny in many ways, too. This is amazing.
So much effort went into this content, intended to be watched once. Here we are hundreds of years later enjoying it.
This comment is for people in the 2200s.
Sounds like Merrill Marko trying to get Bob to eat that Damned cookie.
More Merrill clips please Barbara!
A very Jack Benny hosting style from Paul
Before I die, my wish is the opportunity to see ALL of the Late Night with David Letterman NBC shows in their entirety. For the love of god, somebody make this possible. Please hurry, I just started Medicare!
Paul was standing with his arms folded like Ed Sullivan foreshadowing the move to the Ed Sullivan theater.
Paul sounding so young and with an almost full head of hair.
ha
it's true. you can hear his hair in his voice.
Now THAT'S a 1960s line-up we can get behind! The Strawberry Alarm Clock with 'Incense and Peppermint'; Laugh-In's own Alan Sues; and the iconic Twiggy. Farm-out, Right arm and outta state!✌🏻✌🏻☮☮
Support Bras!
Inna Gadda Da Vida is literal Latin for "In the garden of life." It's a great icebreaker, and I use it often with great success if you know what I mean.
how fab is that tie!!!!
The theme song “We get letters” had not yet been incorporated!
Not even close. Many years away.
Once again.... the best ever!
Viewer mail! ❤ Best show ever.
Elevator races?!? Little did they know that this point what a historic evening it was!
THE Jay Leno?!?
Yes. This was his first visit. Jay received a nice career boost out of it.
In the first segment Jay did stand-up. It the second he talked with Dave at the desk.
This was so refreshing and cool. Lots of fun, thanks Dave!
The debut of Elevator Races!
I didn't know they were referred to as the World's Most Dangerous Band at this juncture.....thought that name came along later.
I thought that for the longest time, as well, until I started watching clips from the earliest couple of years, when Dave used the term more often.
Got to say... That was a fresh kick!
THANKS
Dear dave..... where is dear dave part then dear dave 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
At 3:20, did Paul say "Yeah, I f*ckin' nodded out"?!?
I think he said “I forgotten I nodded out” 🤔
We didn't hear the f-word. wink wink.
Oooooo... a little bit!
"I Kind of Nodded Out"
I just re-watched it and i also hear the F-Word. lol
When I was very young, I thought it was The World's Most Dangerous Man.
😂😂😂 classic!
Ina-Gadda-Da-Vida-Shafer!🤘🏻
