When I was a teenager “To Slay the Beast” was one of my favorite missions to play in all of RTS games. It was challenging and felt like a real survival. I don’t think I beat that mission until my late teens after years. My jaw dropped watching you do what I couldn’t in 8 years with a drop ship and a couple of ghosts.
My favorite missions were Zerg 8 and Zerg 10, Zerg 8 could be challenging if you aren't in top of your early game, but Zerg 10 always made me feel like I was the final boss. All there factions throwing everything they've got, nukes tanks, carriers, psi storms... But nothing could stand for long against the swarm I still struggle with Terran 5, mengsk in brood war is one hell of a defensive commander
I love the style of your gameplay in that you commit the hero units to spearhead the combats, instead of keeping them at the protected base like a princess doll, just like how everybody does.
Hot Take: Bushwhacking the UED was one of the cringiest , if not the cringiest thing, Raynor ever did. Why? The reason why Amon sent Narud to aid Kerrigan in destroying the New Overmind iss because this one was free from his control. More so, if the UED manage to centralize the resources and eforts of both Zerg and Terran on the Koprolu Sector, that would have made his victory nigh impossible. The UED might have not been perfect, but they would have done good for the Sector once Amon showed up. They provided the oen thing the terrans have always lacked: A United Front. But nooo, Raynor still had the hots for his ladybug. In the end, this why I love the Iron First Campaign: This was the last time terrans were not the punching bag of the Koprolu Sector

When I was very young, my neighbor asked me to go to a "computer shop" and play a game called "StarCraft". It was unheard of at that time in our place since it was all Nintendo and playstation. So we went there and In just one day, I went to my first computer shop and played starcraft. My mind was blown. My first game was the 1st terran mission(duran) and i didnt understand campaigns cause i was just 9-10 yrs old. I ended up attacking the base at the front(instead from the back as advised) and I remember playing the mission for a few hours and using "Show me the money" cheat code just to last that long. Fun times.
question: what side are we on as the captain? we don't tell dugalle about the psy disruptor, nor do we tell him about durans betrayal we're just quietly watching everyone disobeying the admiral and see the chaos unfold before our eyes stukov even tells us to talk to inform the admiral that he "has a personal matter to attend to"... and we just never tell the admiral this whole thing only works because we're a silent protagonist (and no one cares about us being a silent protagonist, as otherwise dugalle would've asked us what had happened) imagine the story changes if we actually said anything

So yeah, except for maybe "we're more than one person" or "they didn't really think it through" your solution might've been the best one out there

The Emperor's Flight mission gameplay is wise. Don't land the floating bases and the enemy A.I. won't trigger. Using defensive matrix on dropship and attack mengsk command center directly. Nice!!!

Suely the expeditionary force had notify the command where they were heading, and if no contact were made after awhile... you'd think they're garner an invasion fleet? Was the expeditionary forces of the UED lost and unable to return to Earth or something?
The Swarm under kerrigan completely destroyed the fleet. And to be honest, considering how the Koprolu sector was 60k light years away from Sol, I don't think the UED should have bothered trying to conquer it, knowing that it doesn't have supply lines to it.
You must have put a cheat code to make the difficulty a lot easier. Because I just recently downloaded this game and it's extremely difficult. It's like facing bisu every mission even for the protoss.
The UED was terrified of the Sector getting ahold of their actual Earth tech. We already have scraps of it in SC and its some of the most devastating stuff in the sector even though its hundreds of years old. Spider mines and battlecruisers for one.

Why did the AI not use the comsat on Duran, it always immediately scans cloaked troops when I play.
The trick is to not attack any units, only the command center!
