For instance, on 22.04 LTS, You won't see an upgrade prompt until August when the first point release comes out. However, users running 23.10 are seeing an alert notifying them of a new release. Watch the video to find more…

I just got a new ssd drive and tried installing Ubuntu 24.04 it got stuck at installing system, when I canceled it and then rebooted my device it showed that it has been installed and I was able to login and use it, I don't know if it is installed properly, it didn't show any error, please any help?
Hello KSK. I have seen many of your videos and successfully installed many distros. Can you recommend me any one stable distro for work purposes and little bit of ricing? I am having difficulty in deciding. Thank You.
You can use Linux Mint Or Debian 12. But for Ricing ArchLinux or Ubuntu with Hyprland is best. If you have modern hardware you can install New Ubuntu.
ZorinOS, Linux Mint, LMDE
Bro I am currently running 23.10 and it's working fine. Using mainly to write software. Should i stick with this or update to the LTS version ? Are there any disadvantages in continuing with 23.10 ?
Stick to 23.10 for some time until point release comes out.
23.10 is still supported for 4 months. Then you can upgrade to 24.04 LTS.
@@kskroyaltech Thanks fro the response mate. I shall do exactly that ! 👍🏼
i was upgrading from 23.10 to 20.04. run pretty smooth. no problem at all. may be I'm just lucky noob
It's from 22.04 to 24.04
I just tried a CLEAN install of 24.04 and it's pretty rough. I actually had the desktop completely crash and hang, which I have never seen in Linux before. There were other issues too. I ditched it and am now trying kde neon.
Yes like I said, this update is having stability issues on some hardware. They are focused on newer hardware. I had same issues when I installed on my 12 Year Old PC.
This was a recent platform, 5560u, ddr4 mem
Hii dude live usb with persistence not saving files after reboot in Ubuntu 24.04

@@kskroyaltech it was but still not working or any commands in terminal to fix this, the persistence storage are unable to mount due loop busy error in the live Ubuntu?

You have to wait till August to get the update. Only 23.10 users are getting this update
He is 100% right, I had to update to 23.10 then 24.04 and
Yes there is lag in 24.04. Speed is low.I was windows guy and i feel 24.04 have issue with ram management because with few chrome tab and telegram and discord it takes like 10+ gb
Works with Beefy Hardware perfectly. I tried the same on Old PC but had issues.
I think a better option would be to just install Fedora or Debian.
Ubuntu isn't as stable as it was a few years ago, in my opinion.
What is the best? Debian ou fedora?
@@Nandr0xxIf you want more stability then Debian and if you want more recent programs then Fedora.
If you choose Debian, then enable the backports repos @@Nandr0xx
I tried to upgrade from 22.04 to 24.04 and my SSD ended up broken, can't be used anymore. Luckly, it's still under warranty so they gave me a new one.
You can format that SSD and reuse it.
İ did clean install and works perfect.
Yes it works with Clean Install.
Insane, when i tried to clean install from boot drive - its just got "report problem" when the next step is to resize/edit tables for drives. so i jsut installed 22.04 and now iam here to hear it's cant upgrade KEK
