Love those boys. They're coming to "Rock Stock" at Saints' Stadium in a few weeks. This is a hilarious lip sync. It's amazing how the fellas can keep their cool even on ridiculous gigs like this.
Hahaha, the lipsinc thing is so funny. I am wondering why this was so popular in the 80s. I heard that many TV shows required the bands to lipsinc and use a playback, even if the bands wanted to play live.
Rick was ahead of the curve here. He is joking around and jumping and acting crazy while Robin and Tom are so serious about doing the lip-sincing thing so well lol. This was a joke and Rick knew it.
I like how he covers his face in the beginning because he doesn't know exactly where the vocal is going to come in. So he keeps his face covered until the vocal starts, then slowly exposes his face. Smart. Lip Synching on TV shows must have sucked...
i just saw cheap trick at van andel arena in grand rapids, great show, but poor mixing, the most noticable you couldn't hear rick nielsons guitar solo in "i want you to want me"
how could anybody not love that song.
Excited for the Cheap Trick tour this summer.....and Oh, Rod Stewart performs also.
ive seen cheap trick 3 times. i wish they still did this one
They still play it.
Robin's so beautiful!!!
That Eye Talian axe was a nice touch.
My Cheap Trick's Favorite .from 1980
Bravo!
number one hit
The "italian" guitar of Rick Nielsen, fantastic!
I love his music and cheap trick best nee for me
Of all the bands who DON'T need to lip sync & pretend play, it's these guys. So solid, even with the 2 mock Toms & now Daxx on drums.
But this is

Robin got a lot of mileage out of that pink suit...he wore that during the Dream Police tour as well!!
Back in the 70's they had what's called "T.V. Tracks". we call it "Kareoke " Now
Pete kicked ass on that tour..

They usually insisted on performing live.
Robin fkn HATES it. Of course he does... he never needed to & still doesn't.
