Great Job FG! I’m glad you’re enjoying your Phantom more! They are one of my favorite planes. Hopefully Freewing or someone will update this model like the F-16 90 was done. Even a 70mm like the new f-22 or F-9. I’d order immediately. Even with the design mold twist issues and rudder woes folks keep buying so they keep selling as is. I still have hope 🤞🏾. Thanks again for sharing!
I swear that freewing 1960 kv is one of the best most efficient 90mm fans in the world!! Crazy how much speed and power it maintains on 6s. Good stuff as always Greg
Brings back memories. I was a young Marine attached to VMFA-542 for its first deployment to Vietnam, April-December 1965. BTW, our F4 Phantoms didn't have reverse thrust, we had to rely on drag chutes. 😊 [arrest/tail hooks for carrier landings]
Pretty Plane, great landing. See your subs are climbing! 10k soon. Keep it up. You'll be getting free planes left and right before you know it. Hoping to see the AL-37 back in the air by year's end 😎
Boy you got the landings down on that one. Those were both butter. I like how we can hear your power adjustments coming in. Gives us an idea of how your nailing those landings 😅
I agree with you on the right aileron deflection. I have both the Air Force and the Navy versions in 8S and both have the added deflection so it is not a coincidence. My bud I fly with also has the Navy version in 6S and it is the same. Once they are trimmed they fly pretty locked in and just my take for me the drop tanks actually add to the stability overall. Just my feedback through the sticks.
Let me add a caveat on the positive point of having no cheaters on the underside of the Freewing 90mm Phantoms. Most guys fly from grass strips so you are not sucking up all of that grass and or moisture into your fan on this aircraft. Only thing I wish Freewing would have done or would consider is making this a twin 80mm since the Phantom is such an iconic piece of Cold War beast. especially given we have twin 80mm A-10s, F-14's, Mig-29 etc. You get the point!
Very nice, love the F-4 in any iteration! Looks like your flying field is plagued with a cross wind, I have the same issue where I fly. Also, you might need a little adjustment in your rudder to compensate for your aileron adjustment. The rudder can affect banking. As you say, although the plane is "bench ready" once you get him up there in the sky any slight warping or twist in the wing will throw out the bench with the bath water.
@FatGuyFliesRC I would think at a high altitude to compensate for anomalies...would be interesting to see.. I have a HABU ss...and now I know that the "yellow" wire does...I may give it a shot....you know.."testing purposes " and inquiring minds kinda stuff
I really did not notice much change in performance with or without the ordnance.

I agree, it’s a great plane and I hope they update it as well!

Agreed and thank you!

And this one is a wee bit smaller than yours. Thank you for your service to our country!
What a beautiful looking jet
Thanks so much!!

Thanks for the encouragement, hopefully I can get back to flying that jet soon! I will have her up soon but not before the end of the year.

Thanks! It takes a lot of practice, but I'm getting there!

I completely agree! Just a great flyer , once trimmed AWESOME!!

Awe man a twin 80 would be an immediate buy from me!!!

True you never know if she truly is trimmed until sher is in the air. Thanks for the insight!
very nice flight!.. could you do a flight with the freewing mirage with tanks on as you dont see many videos if any out there!,, cheers FG!...
I will but I will tell you she flies very squirrelly with them.
@@FatGuyFliesRC look forward to your video!
If you lose anymore weight, you may have to change the name of your channel. Great flight and a beautiful bird!
Thanks, I get that a lot but the channel is branded now so it would be a huge hit if I changed the name., Thanks love flying this bird!
What happens if you hit the brake while flying at altitude
If your lucky just a sudden stall either right or left, if not lucky a very expensive pile of foam at the field.
