Love the reactions with Karen. She feels things so deeply. It's always sweet to see. And Cliff breaking down bars I've never caught before. Brilliant! 🔥
Bro she's a visual, you're lyrical. You 2 make a great duo. She's feeling it and you can see at 14:16. Men and women see things different and you can tell. Let her cook!! You guys make a great duo
Bruh this song blew up in 2010. Kids from my school who never heard about Eminem or anything knew this song. What a great year and what an amazing track.
I had a nokia keypad phone back then that I requested my mom to get me one I was 10 back then, and internet was so slow and had to wait a while just for a web page to load, i downloaded this song with MV and that was the only song in that phone I ever had, where I went here and there i could only listen to this song...
This song is so uplifting. No matter what it means to Em, in my darkest of times, I can put this on and scream these lyrics, and it gives me power and confidence to push through.
Recovery album/era is HERE!!!!! Relapse is a better album in hindsight. But I listen to Recovery more tho and I must say I believe it is a more important album for Marshall’s career. What I mean is that Relapse as a conceptual masterpiece is unparalleled in its rhyme schemes, flow, and production. But with Recovery it feels very anthem-y, but not only do I find myself needing that more as I grow throughout my life, but I also feel it was important for Em to produce Recovery as a symbol of his own personal growth and development post addiction. If Relapse is the insanity of coming off drugs, Recovery is the fire of sobriety. The true dichotomy between Relapse & Recovery is that Relapse didn’t have one true motivational/triumphant song on it. With Recovery he has tons of them Not Afraid,Cinderella Man,No Love etc. so overall I feel this album is the one that truly is aging well amongst the general public/causal Hip Hop audience. They connect to it more cause Eminem did lean into a more mainstream sound which some diehard rap fans didn’t like cause previously he would say that he hates popstars early on within his career and say that he would never work with a pop artist but then on Recovery comes along P!nk,Rihanna etc. to accompany Eminem on this album. I find it Em has grown pass his Slim Shady arc would he eventually embrace it again?… well that’s for you two to find out. But what I will say I do feel the pop features on this album fit perfectly into the message Em was trying to create and convey overall.🐐✨💯(To add this as well “Recovery” is the first Eminem album and Rap album in general I bought with my own money at a store called “FYE” that would sell all kinds of entertainment like CDs,DVDs,Headphones etc. just good ol memories! Oh and I first saw the world premiere of “Not Afraid” music video on BET’s 106 & Park.)
@@thorkagemob1297 Hey I respect your opinion I just find Relapse to be more cohesive and better focused and a tad bit more authentic to the Eminem we all know and love even MMLP2 I find better but I find myself listening to Recovery a hell of alot more than both no matter how much better projects they are ironically. (Also peep how there isn’t one skit on “Recovery” that to me makes it more of a dichotomy than anything out of all of albums within Em’s discography.👀)
Fax. Relapse is my favorite Em album, but both are awesome. To me, Relapse is more a spiritual successor to the SSLP/MMLP, while Recovery is more a true successor to TES. Both are important in his career, and show completely different sides and styles. Em's comeback era as a whole (2009-2014) is underrated, and just gets better with age.
I love both albums but i prefer Relapse mainly because its a pure Slim Shady album plus a lot of my favorite songs are on it the Dr.Dre beats with Em bending words with certain flows to make it rhyme while telling a story makes Relapse stand out. Recovery is still great tho Cold wind blows, Not afraid, Ridaz, Almost famous, Going Through Changes and On Fire are my shit
I’m so Pleased You started the Recovery album journey with this one. I can’t help but listen to this song every day. It’s my Fav song of Ems. This song has helped me through so much since this came out. Don’t worry about getting emotional #Karen I do every single time. But it also uplifts me to the point of that I can face anything that life decides to throw at me. Loved Your Reaction. Sending Love To You Both. Also Please Do You’re Never Over as that song has helped me through a hell of a lot Too. ❤️❤️
This one of my favorite Eminem songs, and I also think it represents, as well as the album a new era of eminem, what I really love is the way the ends of Who I am, Fall, and Not Afraid all match up : in Way I am he falls hits and bounces, in Not Afraid he flies, in Fall he lands and walks off. Many do not get these three all link together and just the end of the videos gives you Eminem life, his production crew is so underated on videos. These three songs punctuate his career perfectly, and he is so purposefully aware of it in their creation. HIGHLY RECCOMEND WATCHING WAY I AM, NOT AFRAID , AND FALL in Succession the songs signified by the linkage in endings give you a story Eminem is trying to tell you
i know a few friends that this song got them through hard times. yes, em is a superstar in the rap game but even he knows he isnt invincible(when this came out). this was a song about vulnerability and struggles, yet another says it is about positive change. it is both.
Love your videos mate it’s class when you break it down as some of his lyrics are that insane it goes over peoples heads. I also love how your lass in this video reads the video as she sees it …❤ where myself and you listen to the lyrics and probably haven’t realised the video where as she sees the video more than the lyrics 👌👌
So glad y'all finally did this one! I love that you FINALLY caught the "grounded" ACCENT! Or, you've read my comments where I have mentioned in the original solo reaction to this that you missed it, or some others where you are trashing his accents on Relapse. I think they are just an acquired taste for some. I loved it from the Dr. West Skit to the Drop The Bomb On 'Em! I did notice earlier today that this was on your pay YT channel before it was on here. I might just have to go over there to watch your videos. It looks like maybe you have most of your reactions over there? I'm guessing?

I always felt "I did it subliminally for you, so I can come back a brand new me, you helped see me through, you don't even realize what you did believe me you." Was about the fans. Because before this it always seemed as if he didn't want bothered but also that he knew the fans were important. But it seems like he embraced us more after this in a way where as long as it's not disrespectful or at an inappropriate time if you see him you can say hi...
Just got to say that I have been following you since the beginning when you had less than 10,000 and you are always happy with your girl. Thank you for being awesome.
Yo, I love her genuine response to the song, this is the reason Em was not beefing anymore till recently cuz he promised he was not gonna waste energy on useless things but now that his daughters are grown ,fun fact this song came out right when iTunes was the best thing, in a week I've listen to it around 1,500 times no joke, that was only on the restaurant laptop which I've worked per 10 hours per day 6 days a week ,
Yess! Been waiting for Recovery! Love your videos big fan. Keep em coming😎! Definitely have to have her react to “You’re Never Over” and “Going Through Changes”!
In "the way i am" video when Em jump and then he bounces of when he hits the pavement, is like Eminem saying you can say whatever you want about me but im still here, never gonna do anything to me to kill me, still on top.
After 15 years I feel this song is overplayed but seeing this reaction reminds me of why it’s played as much as it is. When I first heard this back in 2010 it was definitely my favorite song. Going back though this entire album is insanely good. From almost famous to Cinderella man and 25 to life to space bound there is just so much range and it’s just a great album all around. Looking forward to Karen hearing it for the first time!
On top of the buildings cuz he's "King of the World"! lol Karen is very intuitive as well as empathetic. The two of you really complement each other. You need to keep a box of tissues nearby for reactions. ♥🥰😁
Yeeesss finally the Recovery era, I’m so happy Karen is reacting to one of my fav albums of Em! It helped me a lot during rough times and I’m sure sweet Karen will appreciate the maturity and awareness Em puts into it. Thank you both for sharing this with us ❤
Karen YOU ARE JUST AN AMAZING HUMAN!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤ I wish there was more people like you & Cliff in this world!!!!! And he's not on drugs anymore he did for himself and his fans and his kids 😊😊😊😊😊. I'm so very proud of Eminem he's been sober for 16 years. @knoxhill 's breakdown of this song is what made me an Eminem fan. I had also written of Eminem because I couldn't vibe with Shady. Knox showed me that I had been missing out on all of his doubles and triples, and I went down the rabbit hole. It scratches my literature nerd itch that I used to satisfy with Shakespeare. It really is that deep, bro. Marshall Mathers is a wordsmith.
Such a powerful track that still holds up.. definitely need to check out Airplanes II by BoB featuring Hayley Williams (from Paramore) and Eminem especially fitting for a Recovery era 🙏
It wasn't until just now after all of these years that I realized he threw a little bit of an accent in there when he said "perhaps I ran them accents into the ground" It amazes what you can still find in eminems music years and years after it's original release!
They keep showing his shoes because they are the sponsors too. 😂He got sponsored by Nike and G-shock at the time so they showed it often in his music videos
The part where Em say’s “You can try and read my lyrics offa this paper before I lay em”… comes from him losing one of his rhyme pads that had hella lyrics on it. Last I heard it wasn’t ever found🤷🏽♀️
And "instead of a crown you getting capped" which is other headgear. And also a metaphor for instead of getting respect you get laughed at. So that's a quadruple.
hey from Sweden: FIRST, to the people who don´t like the pausing and what is the essence of reaction vids(I can get irritated as well) but there is a bar at the bottom where you can fast forward for ex, maybe use that instead of wining. Just my Swedish opinion. And now, thanks for going forward with The Karen Eminem Catalog, makes my day sometimes. Sorry Cliff 😉😋 but it feels more family like when Karen is with you, you seem like a great fit for each other. Take care both of you and all the Cliff supporters out there. You are probably the only one i watch of the reactors, and Knox too depending on content he reacts to. Pz & Much love from Sweden
Really cool of you not to upload the leaked tracks!!! I can only imagine what Em of today must be feeling hearing these tracks that even Em of 10, 15 ya didn’t want it released…
This song helped me through a lot back in the day. And for some reason at my 3rd eminem concert i bursted out crying when he performed not afraid. Its def one of his most inspirational songs

One of the most insane bar ever:
- his gift is to curse in rap which made him famous
- his gift to rap is a curse due to all attention he receives
- not having a father is what made him Eminem so it was a gift although not having a father is a curse in itself
- his mom kicked him out the house o christmas day when he was little
- Hailey born on Christmas day which made Em try and endure it w Kim
- on Mockingbird, he stated he didn't had money to buy presents during a Christmas day because he was pursuing his gift rapping while working minimum wage
- Em overdosed on Christmas eve (based on Arose, didnt find other information other than 'december') only because he was famous and able to abuse and pop pills like crazy because of his gift
- the curse of Em overdosing on Christmas eve, also Hailey's b-day, would also act as a 'gift' to Hailey
- he turned the curse of drugs and overdosing as a gift and decided to get clean
Willing to debate, but for me, that simple line, after getting to know him over the years, is simply otherwordly

The part where Em say’s “You can try and read my lyrics offa this paper before I lay em”… comes from him losing one of his rhyme pads that had hella lyrics on it. Last I heard it wasn’t ever found🤷🏽♀️
Wow , now this is how you react to a video 🔥🔥🔥
My favorite album! I won't call it his best album but I love it on a personal level 🙌🏻
Recovery is a great album. Cinderalla man, no love, 25 to life and the bonus track Ridaz are dope as hell
And "instead of a crown you getting capped" which is other headgear. And also a metaphor for instead of getting respect you get laughed at. So that's a quadruple.
And also it means instead of winning you're going to lose so a quintuplet
hey from Sweden: FIRST, to the people who don´t like the pausing and what is the essence of reaction vids(I can get irritated as well) but
there is a bar at the bottom where you can fast forward for ex, maybe use that instead of wining.
I have not heard any other leaks except Marshall Powers and Antichrist 2005
This song helped me through a lot back in the day. And for some reason at my 3rd eminem concert i bursted out crying when he performed not afraid. Its def one of his most inspirational songs
Karen’s gonna love this album
Your Girl is brilliant : she is one of the few people who get the connection with The Way I AM, NOT AFRAID and FALL.
She hasn’t seen fall yet but yes, she’s onto Eminem’s connections
