What a fantastic idea, Dave! That Marx train of freight cars was a wonderful idea. I hope it inspires some others who have Marx freight cars in their collection to do the same. Such a joy to see on the rails.
Thanks, Dave. That's was tin Nerdvana. The double heading was the icing on the cake. You would've made Louis proud. I doubt that he would've thought of that one.
Dave I've got to give you Number One in the BillB Boxcar Challenge, even if they're all not boxcars. That wonderfully wacky Marx mega-train's an absolute gas! If anyone sees it and doesn't get a smile on his face wide enough to eat a banana sideways there's something wrong with him! That train's just pure fun! Thanks for posting!
I love seeing Double header Trains!! Awesome work with the modifications Dave! Which reminds me, I have to bring out my Lionel double header with the 2035 and 2037. Also those Marx Boxcar run so smooth like butter. The sounds of the wheels are very relaxing.
Holy cats! That is one big Marx train and the double-headed locomotives makes it even better. Sometimes the two position e-units can be problematic, when you try to coordinate them. The boxcar train alone is a great contribution to Bill's Challenge. Marx is always fun to run, which is why I don't have switches on my outer two mains. An excellent video, as always.
Thanks for your help and time with your trains l love my Marx's Trains , l bay them to restore and resale the motors , l don't restore the shells , l love the patin , l hope l can run that good when I am 80 yrs old love my Marx's they love to just Run these train have the spirit of the people that built them , could you lnmadue waking up Christmas morning and opening up the Marx's Train under the Christmas tree in 1940 what a special time God bless and happy holidays my friend ( Doug in Rome ) GA GA )
Oh man, I love that 4-6-6. I was planning on kit bashing one in N scale. I bought all the parts(the old non flywheel loco, n one newer w flywheel), but I can't find the time to work on it. 😃 0 gauge has grabbed my interest for now! 😃
Wow Dave, definitely a Marx torture test! I may have to try that with mine although I don't think I have as many cars as you and I don't have any double header ability. I agree that Louis Marx would be impressed. I wonder if they ever tried this at the old Marx Girard plant in Pennsylvania before they shut down in 1975?
Dave, In the words of Darth Vader: "Impressive. Most Impressive." 43 tin Litho cars. That's a Mega Marx Train! Put a 666 on the front and it will probably pull even more.
Dave, pretty cool stuff! Marx can be a lot of fun, I think I'm gettin' to ya! Hate to bust yer bubble, but here's my 45 car run and these are all 8 wheel cars! (either Marx or marx mold K-line, all with Marx wheels) ua-cam.com/video/9W2tzfb4i28/v-deo.html
That’s an awesome run you did. I believe I got up to 43 tin cars last night, I’m going for 45, would love to hit 50 but I don’t think I have that many!
@ I can try, I figured it wouldn’t work since the cars are so light, i would think if the engines don’t go the same speed that it would derail. But it is worth a try

Dave, you hit another home run with the Marx double header locomotives pulling all those cars, so enjoyable to watch! 👍👍👍🚂🚂🚂
Glad you enjoyed it, I had a blast doing it!
Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed watching all those tins run around your track.

Hahaha thanks! I had so much fun putting this together
Dave that's my kind of 4 wheeling, how Kool indeed! Dave's freight service free shipping on request! Thank You
Very cool. I’ve never heard or seen that Marx Train model before. 😎👍🏼
Thanks for showing us all how much fun Marx Trains were.
You bet!
I like your 'steam punk' CV. It looks naked with no paint. I have a shell I could sacrifice. We'll see. Thanks for the idea Dave.

Glad you enjoyed it. The sound of the tin cars is one of my favorite parts of running Marx

You made see how much fun you can have with Marx trains. I have not seen them for many years in running condition. Thanks.
Marx tin is all about fun for me, they just make me happy!
Talk about a long train, impressively cool 😎!
Trying to add a few more cars before I put it all away again
Wow very amazing run with the Marx engines! I tell you that is a lot of Marx cars you have!
Big train
I’ve never even seen that many Marx cars in one place much less running in one train. Nice!
The layout is looking sweet, plus the Marx trains!
Thank you!

Glad you enjoyed the video. There is just something timeless about the tin Marx trains
+10 for Marx
Enjoyed again, great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Very cool...those marx cars are starting to grow on me. And yet another made in Maine boxcar... you hot 💩 !! 😄👍
I was so happy to find that state of Maine in Marx, I’ll have to looo for more.
Well done Dave!
Thanks!
Very cool, merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas!
That was a great video , Enjoyed this one :)
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
Great video man
Thank you!

It is a unique engine, kit bashing one in N sounds tedious! Would love to see it when you get that done

I feel like they were never intended to be run like this, but I sure enjoyed doing it.

I have to get a 666. I was going to try my 999 but I haven’t serviced it yet

could you put a loco in the center of the train as a DPU?

@@dagryffynhobby looking forward to seeing it!
